  1. I also do this...I love coffee, and honestly might not be able to live without it.... And I can't eat first thing in the morning. So the protein shake and my coffee is a win-win!😉

    Wrinkled bag stomach

I wish I could say mine looked better....while it's definitely not what it once was, it's still a bit saggy....and it's frustrating. I work out a lot and I can see definition every where, but there is always a saggy belly where my 6 pack should be.....sigh....😕

    Don't pray for me

Each day I learn something new. I never even thought of asking someone before I send prayers their way or if it was ok to wish them a merry Christmas.... I'm not a religious person...I have my own beliefs, but I don't go to church nor do I try to push my beliefs on anyone.... I do however say merry christmas and bless you when someone sneezes. But it doesn't mean I'm going to be dropping a bible off for christmas or handing you a bible and a box of tissues when you sneeze. I say if it bothers you, say something... Because I am positive that people who send well wishes are genuinely just hoping the best for you.

    Any success stories?

I was banded 10/16/14, and I was 250lbs.... To me my story is a success....but I have to work at it every day. Exercise, what I eat, drink, ect. and it is rare that my band acts the same every day. It's like an unpredictable child...lol. never quite know when it will act up, but do your best to steer clear of the things I know will throw it into a temper tantrum.... But being over 100lbs lighter, and healthier....I can say I would do it again in a heartbeat....

What tracking device do you own?

I have the samsung gear sport and I love it...it works with s health and nike run club. Can text, call, email music, heart rate, steps that sync, news weather.....you name it. Lol
  8. Definitely more protein.... I always have a shake after working out. If I don't better stay out of my way...lol And on a side note maybe you are not losing slowly, but instead gaining muscle. I actually gained weight when I started lifting and working out, but my clothes fit differently and my legs, arms everything had more definition.. If your body is hungry....eat. just make good choices! Good luck!

    Disappearing lapbanders

10/2014 was my band surgery...from 250 to 136. So far so good....knock on wood 😉 I eat a ton of protein, drink lots of water and exercise everyday. Some things took a while to learn, can usually not eat till afternoon. Gotta chew....a lot. And nothing to drink with my meal. But all in all I wouldn't change anything

What did you weigh when you started running?

I started at about 150 lbs, i am also 5'5.....i tried when i was heavier but my knees seemed to be hurting all the time. Its only been about a month and a half to 2 months and i can run up to 5 miles...sometimes i do 2 or 3. My knees actually feel great and i kinda enjoy running make sure to warm up/stretch propperly before and after and there is a nike app that i use to track my runs. I love it. Good luck

    Post Your Silly Rant

Rant for the day- Jeans.....for the love of god why can't I find a decedent pair? Fits perfectly waist, hips butt...no circulation in calves...fits perfectly from calves to butt, waist is 3x too big......also skinny jeans? Why?! Also bratty kids....you have 5 kids all under the age of 8? Fine. But if you are going to a public place control them...don't let them run around, knock things over, scream throw things ect. Either get some help with the kids or stay home...please..smh....bet you can't guess where I went today... Also man buns are getting on my nerves. The only things that should ever have buns are burgers

    Exercise tips anyone?

I had a plateau that felt like forever....I would start a routine, then get discouraged because I felt like there were never any results..what worked for me was adding weights into my routine....I also did a month of insanity. While the scale didn't move a whole lot, I started seeing muscle definition. And as weird as this sounds, seeing my body change to being stronger and not necessarily skinner by the pound did something for me...while I am not where society thinks I should be to be labeled "skinny" I love how my body is changing......while the scale doesn't move, body fat % does and the way my clothes fit is different.....I have also added jogging into the mix.....so long story short, I would try some weights!

    Whats up everyone?!

Just an update! Banded Nov 2014... Start weight 250.. Today weighed in at 145
  22. So I finally decided to hit the workouts harder. Usually I stuck to alot of walking, and the elliptical. October 2015 was my 1 year mark with the band- as of right now I am holding at a 100lbs loss. I reached the 100lbs loss around the 1 yr mark....needless to say I have been stalled...no scale movement. Only up a few then back down. At 5'5 I'm still considered fat at 150 I have started insanity....currently on week 2. Starting to see a bit of definition but 0 weight loss.... I feel great but the whole scale thing is messing with my head.. anyways....everyone says they all have stalls, but mine seems sooooo long compared to the norm..I know I don't eat alot...ever. but when I do it consists of protein shakes, chicken, Turkey and cottage cheese....any tips or tricks?? Sorry for the long rant!

Calling all fitness buffs! Newbie here....

Thx @alex!I am not hitting all of my goals as far as calories :/ just started tracking all of my cals again. As my weight came off I got pretty lax about logging anything :/ Working with my nutritionist and adding additional workouts... I know all in time. It just gets tough losing so much, then nothing! Your story and weight loss is an inspiration!
