I can absolutely relate. I spent a few years refusing to be weighed (once I found out I didn't have to comply). I always said " I weigh every day, if the Doctor wants to know I will tell her". Had some nasty smirks from some of the MA's. Now I don't care if I have to get on the scale, and my Primary Doc thinks I am doing great. This is one of the blessings of WLS in my opinion.

I remember when you started posting here. You have done so well. That was a monumental NSV, so happy for you.

I'm not a fashionista, I think you look great in all of them. Have fun at your
reunion!

There was a member on this forum that went through this as well. She ultimately had a fecal transplant. Quite the story. Her moniker was Kindle, am not sure she's still active on this site or if she will respond, but worth a try. Perhaps look up some of her old posts?

Congratulations on your health issues improving enough for you to return to work! That must be both exciting and terrifying. I will pray for you as you requested.

Boy have I learned a lot on this forum. Since I don't attend a support group ( too inconvenient location) this is the place where I go to stay on task. Where would I be if people didn't post honest/ whether you like it or not opinions and facts here? I always knew when reading things from you, Babs, VSGAnn, Kindle, Elode and so many others that I could trust the information contained in the post. I am so disappointed when people who are willing to give good advice whether pleasant or not are pilloried by those who only want to hear what they want to hear.

Yes, I noticed that you took one on the chin for the cheese instead of Cheezits comment. Most of us know it was sage advice.

Good to know, thanks for sharing. I'd like to try that soon, as I haven't lost any pounds for 4 months. My dietician was unconcerned as I haven't gained any weight for 6 months. She pretty much said I am healthy so be satisfied with what I have lost. But now you have me thinking...............

I always have nausea from general anesthesia. I mentioned it to my surgeon and the anesthetist. The anesthetist placed a patch behind my ear before surgery and told me he would make sure he gave me something for nausea before I went to recovery. When I first woke in recovery I was very nauseous, they gave me something for it in my I.V., which worked instantly, they controlled it very well after that. I didn't take the anti- nausea pills when returning home and that was a mistake. Started taking them and felt much better. After three days on the anti nausea pills I stopped them and was fine. I had very little pain post op, and the pills controlled the nausea quite well.
The staff will control the nausea very well if you let them know you are concerned about it.

Guilty pleasure-
Sitting reading a book when I have so many other "productive" things I should be doing (like cleaning the house/dishes etc.).

I hope you have an easy, uncomplicated recovery. I felt great after about 5 days, but everyone recuperates differently. Welcome to the loser's bench!
