  1. @@glitter eyes Hey girl!! I took a break. I just ran out of things to tell. Once you get to goal and just maintain it's not near as news worthy. Last time I was reading there were people talking about leaving this site and all the bickering got a tad old. I'm refreshed now! You look like you're doing fabulously!
  2. @@FunkyMunkyBrat I'm sure I will just live on the Premier protein shakes like the good old days lol!! I lost a ton of weight doing that though....I'm not sure how this is going to work? Maybe when I get unbanned I will just go nuts and gain what I loose back?!
  3. post twice, not sure why. Ugh!
  4. @@bayougirlmrsc Lord, Just got back on here. It's been months! I'll have to take some later. It's dark now.
  5. @@sammy246 Thanks, sorry I haven't been on here in awhile. My surgeon was Dr. Carla Garrison of Garrison Plastic Suurgery in Springfiled, Mo.
  6. Pure willpower. I stayed away from food. I drank my shakes in my room away from my family. I had my husband make all their meals so I didn't have to be around food. I stayed away from TV since more than half of the commercials involve food ads. Mainly I just stayed focused on the prize. Two straight weeks of shakes, SF Jello/popcicles and low sodium broth. Never cheated not even once. I'm still proud of that almost two years later.
  7. First let me start off by saying I'm am a pretty happy and content girl these days. I'm thrilled with my progress thus far. I wouldn't change not even one thing! Not the good, the bad or the ugly (barium swallow test still ranks pretty ugly, I know simple yet traumatizing all the same) but I've noticed there are a few things that just really drive me crazy. Like, my Aunt who has also had WLS (gastric bypass almost 10 yrs ago). She has gained most all of her weight back. She insist that I send her update pictures via FB messenger and raves about how happy she is for me but then turns around and sends me a picture of a fruit pizza she made with the caption "yummy I bet you wish you had some". What the crap is that?! Is it suppose to be funny? Being as I'm a southern Christian woman and she's my aunt I don't elaborate on where she could fit that pie in her nether regions. I just say oh looks good. Puke. Also my lovely family (kids and husband) always make little remarks like "she's not going to be able to eat more that 5 bites" when ever I talk about cooking something or they make bets on how much I'm going to actually eat. Now, when it comes to them I know they aren't doing it in a mean spirited way they are just a bunch of smart a**'s which unfortunately I can't get too mad over because they got it from me. In fact the other night I had a small piece of tiramisu cake left and I heard them whispering about how they would end up with it because " mom won't be able to eat it all" so after a few bites they were right I couldn't so before they could say anything about wanting it I tossed it on the floor for the dog (see where the a** part comes in?) anyway those things are a few of my pet peeves I've acquired over the last 9 months. Anyone else care to elaborate on some of your own?
  8. @@fliss78 Well hello! Neighbor! ☺️
  9. @@Kaze You're right you won't be able to drink much at first but in your case you won't have a choice after awhile you will have to drink the water wether it's uncomfortable for you or not. It will be a constant reminder for you. Also you will have to take those pills. I don't think it will be a problem. I was taking pills after. I being a dialysis nurse do not want to see you have to be back on/on dialysis so if you go through with surgery just know it may or may not be a little more rough for you but you have no choice. I can promise you skinny is NO match for being dialysis free. If you want them both you're going to have to manage it.

    Feeling defeated

@@ccnb The answer is in your first line. You're only two weeks. You just had surgery, you just lost 10 lbs at once. That's not normal for the human body. None of it is. You have to give your body a break. It's freaking out man!! Give it time to heal and process. Your not going to lose weight everyday. That's just NOT going to happen. Do yourself and mental health a big favor and stay OFF of the scale! I'm not going to give you a solution because you don't have a problem. Chill girl!! Relax!
  11. So here it is....my daughter had this in her room and gave it to me. My highest weight was 297. Pre surgery 267, now 145. I'm 5'8 and it took me a little less than a year. Enjoy! Lol!!! Sorry it's sideways. I'm adding a side by side for comparison.
  12. @@Indieflickers because you have to remain in the "beach chair position" you won't be able to lay flat. You need to stay bent. For one it will hurt like hell to try to lay flat and two you but tention on your incsion and you could end up with a stretched out ugly scar.
  13. @@Indieflickers I made a whole post about mine. I had a TT & breastlift. If you want to click my icon you can find it. It's too much to re-write it all.
  14. Thanks everyone! Always a work in progress
  15. Wonderful! Congratulations!

  20. @@jintycb That's awesome! I'm horrible at exercising. I didn't like it fat and I don't like it now. I should through. I say I'm going to but I never find the time keep up the good work!
  21. @@ChooChi73 yes I had loose skin. I had a Tummy tuck and breast lift last month. I made a post all about it if you want to check it out.
