I have a fitbit and average 5000 steps a day. I use fitness pal and eat 1000 to 1200 calories a day. Seldom eat carbs and get my 60 grams of Protein in. I go to the gym 4 times a week. I do 20 minutes cardio then rotate strength training between upper and lower body. I did just change the cardio to half in the beginning and half at the end of my work out to see if that shakes things up a bit.
My body is changing and I have dropped a jeans size. My skin doesn't sag and cellulite is going away. So there are pluses. I am just dying to see the scale move.

Jello arms = 3/4 sleeves for me, but there are such few choices right now. However, when my arms are down they look great. Must practice a life devoid of wild waving, lol.
NSV: Jumping into the car trunk to rescue a rogue can of chick peas, like that's what you do. Impossible before weight loss. I don't think my leg could have gone up that far. Life is good!

YES! I live a small town that I was not born in but have lived here for 28 years. Since my kids are grown, I rarely see people other than the 14 people that work in my building. I go to work and go home in the country. If I go shopping, it's usually out of town. So when I do run into people that haven't seen me since before starting this journey, I almost feel embarrassed, especially when they ask "how" I did it. I chose to only tell those I'm close to. Just this week I've told two people that I've been working on this since last June and I eat high Protein, low carb, low calorie and work out (which is the truth). I have had a couple of men look me over, I'm 56, and that makes me uncomfortable. Guess I'd better get used to it. I find myself not wearing real form fitting clothes. And I still have 25 pounds to go to get to my goal! lol!

I have been getting my extra Protein in by eating yogurt two times a day with a scoop of GENEPRO protein added to it. This was the only way that I could get it in. I don't like the shakes or the Protein Bars. I try to eat a little beef Jerky during the day as well. Protein has been a bit of a struggle for me.

@@joankrie Thank you so much. I understand about buying clothes. My Husband has told me a couple of times that I need to buy smaller sizes. I've been in plus sizes so long, it's hard to grasp that I can wear anything other than those.

    Hello Everyone
You all are such a FABULOUS SUPPORTIVE Group. I don't post often, but I try to get in here and see what everyone is up to. You all are looking AMAZING!! I have learned so much in this group. I had a horrible stall that seemed to last for weeks. I saw a post and I can't remember who posted but it recommended increasing Protein above the required amount according to your pre surgery weight. Whoever posted that, you are my SHERO!! It has made a world of difference for me. I increased Protein last week and the scale has moved 7 pds!!!! I also had my 6 month appt yesterday. I am now down 105 pds. I have quite a way to go because when I started this journey I was 330 pds. I'm feeling awesome and I am so encouraged by each of you. Thanks for sharing your stories, highs and lows they are greatly appreciated. Here is a pic of me pre surgery and yesterday at the Dr. yesterday.

Good for you!! My stall is consistent! Ive lost 2 lbs last week, and nothing since. However, im really ok with the stalls now. Just as long as im still losing in a healthy manner, all is well!
Im down 105lbs/higest weight, and 55 to go! Size 16 from 26. Slowly, creeping into a 14. But, ladies.. my body has changed/obviously, but Im losing my ass, and my waist has a muffin top! Totally opposite from before I lost control of my weight!
Anybody else having the same experience??

Wow!! Outstanding..I'm sure it feels very surreal. My weight is slowing declining. Total weight loss 105lbs! 55 more to go. Im able to shop in the "normal" size shops, but I find myself doubting the clothes will fit, and they do. I literally have to remind myself that I dont need to shop in Plus sections.. very odd thay my body is adjusting, but my mind isnt. Anybody else going thru this?

I won't see my surgeon again either. Once surgery was done I was handed over to the nurse practitioner. I didn't mind as I thought my doctor was kind of smarmy.
I had my labs done prior to my follow up but it was my primary that ordered them. I was very happy I had them though due to the issues with exhaustion I was having.
Speaking of that, it seems like the extra Vitamins are working. I feel like a normal functioning person again. Even did zumba yesterday. Zumba taught me I can't salsa. It was a bit humilating.
I think I'm rambling. ... but I have one more thing.
A gf came over tonight and picked up all my remaining old clothes. My closet is cleaned out of size 24, 22 and 20. She was a little upset that the larger sizes fit her. I felt bad because i totally understood what she was feeling. I've walked in those shoes for so long. We talked about bypass and the ups and downs. It certainly is a roller coaster ride but im finally to a point that I'm happy I did it.
sleep well gladiators. I hope we all wake up a little lighter.

LaShonda! Welcome to the Gladiators! We are glad you joined us. You look fabulous! Congratulations! I, too, started in the 300s.
You are correct- this is an awesome, supportive group. I've come to rely on everyone's perspectives, encouragement, kindness, soft kicks in the butts when necessary, etc.
Looking forward to hearing more about your journey!!!!
