  1. Has anyone tried inspire Protein? I am very interested in trying their BOT program and they sound good. I especially like that they mix with 4 ounces of liquid for 20 grams whey protein isolate. I have tried every type of protein powder/RTD in the book and they only ones that I really like are Premier chocolate. I would like to change it up a bit but am curious as to unbiased reviews if the inspire brand. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using the BariatricPal App
  2. I agree. I would love to follow this. It gets so hard, especially for me at 2 years post op. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using the BariatricPal App
  3. Thanks for the help y'all. I was feeling frustrated yesterday. I know it's really a small amount of gain, but any amount totally freaks me out. Lol. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using the BariatricPal App
  4. I had VDG 10/21/14. Highest weight probably around 230 at 5'3. Day of surgery I was at 199. Current weight is 137. My lowest weight (when I say lowest I mean COMPLETELY naked ) 129. I can slowly feel myself gaining some weight back. I know if I were to stick with the plan I could lose more, but I am mindlessly eating. I want to stop and really get back to my lowest but I don't know how to do it. I can't understand why I am doing this to myself. I walk at lunch during the week and am pretty good at work, but when I get home it is horrible. My biggest fear is gaining my weight back. It is what I think about every morning and night. I'm just feeling down on myself right now. Everyone tells me that I don't need to lose more weight, but they don't understand how it feels to have went through all this and lose the weight, only to start to see the numbers creep back up. It is frightening. That is what it really is. I'm scared. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using the BariatricPal App

    BMI 31-32

My BMI was 35 when I qualified with co-morbidities. 34 day of surgery. 5'2, 190. Surgery 10/21/14. 6 month check up at 146lb. Knew I wouldn't loose fast, but I'm ok with that. Feel better than I have in years.

    beating myself up

It's hard. I think we all slip a little bit. Knowing that you did is good though. I had surgery 10/21/14 and weekends are horrible. It's much easier when I'm working all day to be super strict, but on the weekends I find myself looking in the fridge all day. I just try to keep lots of proteins that I can eat instead of junk. But, I admit, the junk still happens sometimes. You are making a lifetime dietary change. It doesn't happen overnight. You learned your habits all your life, its going to take more than a few months to change it. It gets easier.????

October 2014 sleevers check in please!

Surgery date 10/21. 5'3-day of surgery 194lb. CW 156lb. Even though I'm the smallest I've been in a looong time, I don't feel like it.. Anyone else feel that way?
  9. I had mine on the 21st and I still fear that I will fail. I have had no problems taking fluids, so I automatically think the worst. I weighed in at 190 day of surgery at 5'3 and just want to get to 145....
  10. Nobody knows our story but us. Try to brush it off knowing that you are doing what you need to do to be healthy and happy. Everyone else who wants to judge can go kick rocks!
  11. I feel your pain. It happened to me more than once. I just got home from the hospital today.
  12. I was sleeved yesterday. When I first saw my surgeon my BMI was 35 with htn, pre diabetes and elevated cholesterol. Yesterday I was at a BMI of 33.9 because of following the diet program before surgery. Everyone looks at you like your crazy when you are sleeved at a lower BMI. Since I've been in the hospital I think about 3-4 people have said it to me. Its not just the weight people it's the health!! They just don't get it. But, on a lighter note (ha) recovery has been fairly easy so far. No nausea, able to get in liquids etc. Kinda like a gallbladder surgery but with drains.
