    Restarting my lapband journey

Same here I lost 155 pounds and now, I pick here and there. After being so good for over two years I’m gaining little by little. Any help????
  2. Congrats, you are in the right direction and it will come off. I had my LB surgery on 1/14/15 and since that time I am down 145lbs and 18 inches off my waist. They (5) medications I was taking for HBP & Cholesterol and a water pill are all gone. All I take daily is a vitamin. It will work for you as well. Enjoy the Journey! [emoji41]

    And my journey begins

  5. Hi Kevin, Congrats on taking the first step to a better life. You are making the right choice. As per your questions. A typical 100 lb Weightloss is not that hard to achieve with the lap band procedure. How do I know well this Wednesday is my 1 year bandaversary and in the course of this one year I am down 109 lbs and I went from a 58 waist to a 38. Regarding protein shakes. I still have anywhere from 1 to 2 shakes a day. Sometimes in place of a breakfast or as a snack at night. Best of luck and enjoy your journey to a better life.
  6. Havent been on this board for a while, so Hello to All! I was banded back in early January of this year and have accomplished amazing results with the band and with my health. I have lost almost 20 inches on my waist, off 4 of my 5 daily medications and over 120 pounds to date. I have followed my 1200 calorie a day plan to a tee. But all of a sudden, right after the change in season and temperatures. I have been going off my plan and craving Snacks and junk like chips and stuff. "HAS THIS HAPPENED TO ANYONE ELSE"

    Whats up everyone?!

Was banded on Jan 14, 2015 down 108 lbs with another 42 to go!
  8. This past week marked my six month anniversary of my LapBand surgery and really could not be any happier. After year after year of watching my weight go up and up and my waist getting bigger and bigger. That is all ancient history. After these past six months I watched my waist go from a size 58-60 to a 42. So far in these six months I have lost 97 pounds. I am putting this out there so all you newbies not to feel discouraged at first. As long as you follow your dr.s orders keep your caloric intake at 1200 calories and some exercise you will see amazing results as well. Enjoy your journey and expect great results on the way!
  9. This weeks marks five months since my lap-band surgery. After so many attempts to lose weight. So many yo-yo diets this has finally paid off into a road to better health and a longer life. In exactly, five months I have lost a total of 88 pounds and 12 inches on my waist. At first, I was truly skeptical on this working and being able to consume only 1200 calories a day and be full and stay healthy. All I can say is this had met all my expectations and it has worked above and beyond. I have about another 50 pounds to go and as many of the older posts that I have read. The remaining pounds are always the hardest. I say bring it on!!!! Wish me luck!!!!

    Hello newbie here

The bloating and the pain will subside, day by day. Just keep walking as much as you can to break up the gas and all will be well sooner than you think.

    30 days to band

I didn't start to de-fat my liver till 10 days prior. 30 days is way too soon.
  13. . Dr fielding is one of the very best!!!!
  14. I cannot tell you to go for it, that is a decision that has to be made within and with your doctor. For one, you have to see if your a candidate and two, it's a life changing experience. For me, it was the best move I could have ever made. I am half way through with my Weightloss and off all my pressure, cholesterol and Water pill meds. It was the best move I could have ever made.

    Not quite what I expected

Well if you did your homework going into the lapband surgery, that's the first thing they tell you. It's not a magic do-all. It's a tool, just like any other tool. You couldn't drive a nail through wood without a hammer or tighten a nut without a wrench. The same is with our Weightloss. If we could have done it just by dieting we would have never had the surgery. But after all the failures of fad diets, liquid diets and packaged foods. It was time to make a change and that change for me was with my lapband. I got banded Jan 14 of this year a month after you and I must say its working fine. I'm down 61 pounds lost 10 inches on my waist and only eat 1100-1200 calories per day and no more. You can make this happen, be aware of what your eating and how much and remember your band is just a "tool" and nothing more. You can make this happen!!!
