Same here. Energizer bunny on steroids. It really disrupted my sleep pattern, as I just couldn't wind down, It's getting better, but here I am typing at 1230 am, and I have to get up in 4 hours for work!

Exactly the same thing I'm thinking this evening! I'm 3 wks post op tomorrow. Slept all afternoon today, only left my home once over the weekend. Getting Water and approx 60 of Protein in as well and similar calorie count. Not much appetite, but eat probably every couple of hours. I'm just guessing? that its the shock to the system and mix up of metabolism? Thanks for the above feedback from others further post surgery. It's encouraging!

You have "Keto flu" most people dont realize but the weeks after surgery are the same as someone who does Keto in that since you cut out the carbs and sugar your body switches to fat burning. the transition is different for everyone but the "keto flu" is a common reaction.
it does pass as you Fat Adapt and your body moves to using all those millions of fat cells for energy. Hang tough and watch that fat melt away as your body becomes a true Fat powerhouse. After i reached the Fat Adapted stage i had so much energy it was scary.
I couldnt sit down, i was always pacing and felt i needed to keep moving and doing something anything.

Congrats on your surgery. Hydralyte is very helpful. Had to dilute it as I found it too sweet but I carried a bottle everywhere I went. Also found it easier to drink than Water.
This to will pass. Every week that passes you’ll feel stronger and your energy levels will increase.

Tomorrow is 3 weeks since I was sleeved. This weekend has been miserable. I feel like I have mono (which I had 20 years ago). I have zero energy and feel very sluggish. I just want to go back to sleep. I am getting in my liquids and at least 60 grams of Protein. I started taking Vitamins last week. I am eating 350-500 calories a day. My urine is pretty clear so I don't think it is dehydration. I felt strong urges for carbs to get some strength. I had a pretty busy and stressful week at work and I think I may have overdone it. I also started eating non-pureed salmon and chicken on Friday. I just started taking Iron on Friday night (40 mg). Not sure if this is just my body telling me to take it easier or something more serious. Any thoughts welcomed. -

I also had no energy. I would have slept all day if I didn't need to hydrate and get Protein in. I started to get my energy back at 5 weeks post op. I'm at 9 weeks post op now and I feel great. Hang in there. You're body just went through a major ordeal and it's trying to heal and adjust.

30 lbs is awesome. What do you think is causing the fatigue? I'm 2 weeks out and I'm also fatigued, especially if I am too active the day before.

You all got this. I was in the same boat exactly 2 weeks ago, scared out of my mind. Everything went so much better than I thought. Best of luck.
