I have yet to drink anything while eating 9 months post. I didn't have any issues with not drinking. Once your stomach is sleeved you may not have an issue either?

Congrats on having an easy start.
Just take every day as it comes -- good or bad.
Just do what you're supposed to do that day.
That's all you have to do.
My own WLS was complication-free and drama llama free. Not saying there weren't times when I wasn't a little white-knuckled late at night to stay out of the refrigerator. Not saying I was 100% perfect, because I wasn't. But because of the hunger-crazing ghrelin being gone, all my research and self-education and pre-preparation, and my compulsive meal planning and tracking (which taught me sooo much about nutrition), my own WLS trip thus far has been completely doable.
However, I never imagine there's an end to this strip. Just turned on the TV and The Barefoot Contessa (cooking show) is on. She's so cute (weighing at least 240 pounds) and competent and making the most delicious food that I can see with affection how it's not completely awful for everyone who's fat.
On the other hand, I'm not The Barefoot Contessa. And I was fucking miserable at nearly 240 pounds. So there's that. All told, I'm so much happier watching her than being in her shoes.

yep looks like mine!minus the incisions.i had single incision thru my belly button,no scar at all just loose skin and stretch marks!

I had my first glass of wine 1 month out.took me a few months to get to a full bottle!!im a white wine drinker and I have no problems.the sugary drinks make me feel sick and oh how I love a pina colada in the summer but after 2 im sick!!

ok,I have to say that I really wanted to do this surgery and im very happy I did it.but my husband is extremely over weight also and sorry to say I told him he needed to do it also because I was not going to do this by myself if he wasn't going to be able to work with me.in other words I told him that his health issues along with mine are not worth the food and that all we have in common the past few years is eating out all the time.its like everything revoves around food!so anyway he is scheduled for dec 3rd.im so happy because I really don't think it would last between us if we wernt in this together.its hard when your tryig to make yourself healthy and your partner doesn't.his health issues far outnumber mine and hes 9yrs yunger then me!i just couldn't sit back and watch him killing himself with all his issues while im trying to be healthy.so yes I ve him the ultimatum.get healthy with me or im out of here.

my sister who I barely talk to does this to me all the time in front of people I don't know.and believe me its not like shes complimenting me and telling me I look great either.its always yelling acoss the way from me"how much weight did you lose"?or what are you going to do about loose skin?i really cannot stand her and shes the only one who says it.

I agree with the other post's. The amount you have to loose is a factor. I hit my surgery goal at 7 months. It still would have been fine if it took longer. Being healthy and prolonging my life has always been my goal.

I always eat breakfast even if it's just a Protein drink. For me part of my issue was not overeating. My issue was disordered eating. I'd skip breakfast and then not bother to slow down and eat until 8 or 9pm, sometimes even later. My body held onto every calorie because it never knew when another one was coming, or whether I was in a healthy eating mood or a pizza mood. Eating breakfast jumpstarts my metabolism and yes I am hungry during the day, but at long as I provide meals at regular intervals, I don't overeat. Breakfast is rarely a big heavy meal, I make it a point to never skip it.

it is sooooo worth it!!!follow thru this time,you will not regret it.best thing I ever did was get off the roller coaster diet!
