meps413 got a reaction from acyum2008 in Pregnant 6 months after sleeve
I got pregnant roughly 3 months after getting sleeved. I had zero complications. I lost about 5-10 pounds until the third trimester, when I gained about 5 lbs, so I stayed under my pre-pregnancy weight. Three weeks ago, I gave birth to a healthy, beautiful baby girl. And I was back to my lowest weight within a week or so after delivery.

Hi! I'm in StL, and was sleeved at my new self in August. I haven't been to any support groups, but I'm also interested in hearing other people's experiences.

Remember that your head gives up before you body does! Slow progress is still progress. You can only walk 10 feet today. That's totally okay. Tomorrow you'll do 12 feet. Just strive to be a little bit better than you were the time before, and soon you'll be up and about without even noticing! You can do this!

Yeah, also forgot to add; the walking the doctor will ask you to do while in the hospital is not necessarily walking for exercise. It's to help break up the leftover gas from surgery, and also, I believe, to lessen the risk of blood clots. So don't stress about that. You can go as slow as you need to, and I bet you could even have someone follow you with a wheelchair if you need a break. Don't worry about that part so much, the actual work comes when you are home and healed!

On Monday I'll be 31 weeks pregnant with my first child a little boy :-) I'm feeling great just tired....It's been a great pregnancy I can't really complain at all. Aside from sore breast and feeling tired I had no other symptoms. My favorite thing about being pregnant is being able to feel my little man moving around in my belly. My only concern is when am I going to deliver...I'm high risk because of my blood pressure so they are talking about inducing me sometime between 37-39 weeks. As for weight gain I am up 21lbs but didn't really start putting it on until maybe 20 weeks.

meps413 got a reaction from blondiebabs in I Want Soda ... BAD
I added some root beer extract to my vanilla Protein Shake. Tasted like a melted float. It wasn't perfect, but it helped with my soda craving.
I've had a sip or two of diet soda since surgery, and every time my stomach hurts immediately, and it reminds me why I shouldn't do it.

Congratulations. I don't know if it's necessary to go to a walk-in for that unless you just REALLY need to know right now...remember it's cold/flu season and guess where all the sick people like to go! I would stay away from the "sick station" if at all possible!

meps413 got a reaction from Inner Surfer Girl in My gym NSV!
I recently noticed that my workouts have been getting just a bit easier.
So, I downloaded the c25k app to use on the treadmill. I tried it for the first time today. I made it halfway through the first workout, so a minute of jogging, followed by 90 seconds of brisk walking, repeated 5 times. Sure, I was "supposed" to do it 10 times, but for someone who couldn't jog all 6 weeks ago, I'll take it!

Thanks! It's not exactly pleasant for me either, lol. I told my trainer I'm not going for the "9 week" goal the program sets for you. But the next time I'm on the treadmill, I intend to do one more interval than the time before. I'll get there at my own pace, but i will get there!
