    Need some female advice please

You should report any type of bleeding to your doctor and take their recommendation..whether your bariatric surgeon or your obgyn.. Bleeding is serious.

    Do you regret surgery?

I posed-that same question to others before surgery! I am happy to report based on my own experience... No regrets.
  3. It sure isn't the easy way out but if that's what people want to call it, so be it. There are too many ways to get help in this day in age without having to suffer it out. I'm about living life smart and not hard. It's about life choices and what works for you, and makes you a better person. IMO.
  4. If you don't want to share this, it's your choice. It's okay to have boundaries. They protect.

    Pre op fail

My sleeve, I don't think it will kill your chances. Just follow the plan from now on. I believe you have enough time to empty your stomach. Salonboi my doctor has cancelled surgeries the day of surgery if patients have eaten too much. They know and put us on the pre op plan for a reason. Mainly to prevent complications and shrink the liver. The size of your liver is determined in proportion to your body. They assess the situation beforehand when they put you on your plan.

Getting sick and the picc line

Mindy, try holding up on solid foods (if that was the problem) and go back to soups and full liquids. Listen to your own body and reintroduce food slowly. That's what we did b4 surgery! You may be trying to do too much. Rooting for u to feel better soon!

    Still in hospital.

    Prayers up

Things men say when told about WLS :)

One thing I've learned in general is not to share too much too soon in any relationship. People need to earn your trust and vice versa.

    really struggling

Not sure how far out you are, but I had similar feelings early on. You will get thru the process. Just take one day at a time and concentrate on getting well. Your outlook will improve after you get thru this pureed phase. It gets better.
  11. Hi. I used Dr David Kim of Dallas. I chose him because of the great number of surgeries he performed and lower level of risks for leaks because of the inverted sleeve he devised for his patients. Website is Drdkim.net. It speaks for itself. I was a traveling patient but have access to support group meetings thru website. Lots of support from his office and patients. I have had no complications or issues at all and feel great about my choice!

    Venting About Poor Forum Etiquette

Personally, I need logic. Even when it's written " correctly" people still misinterpret. It goes both ways. So your 1st point negates your second point. Also, it takes time to learn the site so some people don't know about questions others have had. As u stated, its a public forum so there should be an understanding that people come from all walks of life and express themselves in all manner of ways.
  13. Just don't take it. It's gotta be something else out there!

    Scared and unsure

Apart from your Dad I don't know why these folks are so vested in what u do. Watch who us talk to. Your dad is coming from a place of fear. Do your research. weigh the pros and cons. Pray about it and make your own peaceful decision. After that, stand on it and share only with those you think need to know and have your best interest at heart.
  15. Nobody from work. Only told closest family members and friends.
