i am on the last 2 months of my 6 month wl program, and i have been yo-yo dieting all through it. gained a little, lost some, and now i've gained it back! does this mean i'm not ready for the band??? do i not deserve the surgery? your input would be great....thanks guys!

oh thank you alfie. how has your 6 month wl program been going? i hate that i have to do this to get the surgery....but i know it will be worth it. mine ends in jan. when does yours? any other advice for me? -

I have my 1st support group meeting this week. Im kinda nervous. What do I say?? Ive never been to one of these before. anyone have some experience they can share with me? thanks a million

It looks like a lot of you are paying for this out of pocket. My insurance covers weight loss surgery after many hoops to jump through, but it never specified which procedure. Im scared. I am planning on the band as the best choice for me, but I dont know if thats covered. I guess ZI should just call huh?? I dont want it submitted and denied!

How do you (or did you) deal with the excitement, impatience, fear, and anxiety before your surgery? It seems like this is all i think about! i just want it done! :whoo: For anyone who has any advice for me that would be great.......

:)I have 3 months left on my 6 month program to be qualified for the band. i just want it to be over with! i want my surgery. im so glad i found this site. its very motivating and wonderful to hear stories from other people. i'll keep reading.

not necessarily at first, but what foods will be forever off limits after surgery? did you find it difficult to the adjustment?

I also have that feeling. my whole life has been about eating. but just think of how much happier you will be healthy and thinner....who knows what you might do to occupy your "new" time? Good luck, you'll do great. -

anyone heard about this insurance? i work for the az state government. they made me do the 6 month pre-op diet. i hope they approve me quick! any experience??

Hi. I am Jacole. I am having my surgery through Scottsdale Bariatric with Dr. Blackstone. Im almost through my 6 month pre-op diet, so hopefully it won't be too long into the new year. any advice for me? Thanks!

:clap2:well congrats on your surgery right around the corner!! wish i was in your shoes! i am in my 6 month pre-op medically supervised diet, and i have lost 15 lbs so far. they told me i can maintain that until surgery day. and dont think because you dont think your doing a good job now (which you are) doesn't mean you won't do well after the surgery. dont worry. you'll do great, and good luck!
