Jordan861 got a reaction from jacqueline5678 in Two years two months ago I started my journey
I figured my tummy would be the problem, but my arms (wings) and my face are bearing the brunt of the damage. I figure a face lift will be my required surgery... I am looking tired, old and sad but on the inside I feel so young and full of energy.

I make my own... The only real flavor I like is lime and I like them real tart. I have Popsicle forms that hold 4 oz per Popsicle x 4 Popsicle.
juice from three limes add more for a more tart taste
Enough Water to make 2 cups total
3 - 4 splenda packets (sweeten to your taste)
And freeze. They are harder since they have no sugar but are not like just ice. I enjoy one every night and at around 30 to 40 calories I call it guilt free

I found that to be true last night. I ate too fast and didn't know how full I was until it was too late. I was soooo sick! I never want to feel that way again. It was terrible!

Haters will Hate... You have done amazing and keep on the journey. There will be negative ninnys in every croud. I was told to stop loosing weight you are getting too thin..... size 12 weighing 176 lbs... See most people don't even know what a healthy weight is. Either they are fat, they have seen you fat for the whole time or you feeling bad somehow makes them feel better. I say go for it girl.... Dance Sing, where clothing you would have never put on... enjoy life!!!!

Jordan861 got a reaction from BeagleLover in How much food can you eat with sleeve?
Little over 5 months...mine depends on what I am eating...thin (soup not heavy with stuff) about 1/2 cup. Thicker or chunkyier closer to 1/4 cup. Solid (meat) about two ounces. As for ever eating normally... I hope I never do it again, cause my normal let me become 258+ pds. I go out and order usually off the appetizer menu.... Eat what I want slowly and talk a lot...then get a go box and your left overs will be about three meals and some to throw away. My biggest issue is throwing away food.... I learned it is ok to throw away food, I don't have to clean my plate thinking about some starving people. I Love my sleeve and the only regret is I did not have it done 10 years ago.

Jordan861 got a reaction from Kindle in Eating question
At the mushy/pureed food stage you can count it where ever you want. Just remember to get your Protein and ounces of Water in every day..... I would figure a cheese stick string cheese would be an entire meal if you could get the entire thing ate. As for the pudding put some Protein Powder in it..... 4oz...sugar free....fat free ... protein......full meal..... bingo!!!!!

    @@emp409 ...
For sleevers, how much you can eat depends on two things -- well, three things actually:
    1. How long ago you had VSG surgery --
The longer you are post-op, the more you can eat, up to a point. And not everyone has the same point. Some are never able to eat more than 3-4 ounces. Some can eat 8 ounces. A few can eat more than that.
    2. WHAT you are eating --
If you always eat Protein first (and we are told to do that to avoid regaining weight), that really kicks in your new, smaller tummy's restriction and always will. But if instead you eat what's called "slider foods" -- high-carb, highly processed foods that have less nutritional value (think crackers, Cookies, ice cream, other Desserts, pastas) and drinks with lots of calories (think sodas, sweet tea, sweet cocktails, lots of juices, etc.) you'll experience a lot less restriction and the food / drink will just slide right on down, leaving more room for more food.
    3. Whether you violate the Rx to "Never drink with your meals" --
By drinking with your meals, you speed up the food's movement down out of the stomach into the intestine -- leaving more room in your smaller tummy for more food. (See #2 above.)
By not eating Protein first, Indulging in lots of slider foods and drinking with your meals you can eat more. These behaviors will also enable you to regain the weight you've lost.
    Best wishes to you.

My suggestion is seduce her. Start flirting, complimenting and noticing openly the changes she is going through. Tell her how fine she looks and how hot she is. Act like a single man trying to win her. Don't use the same "married terms" you look so pretty, use the street terms "your hot" "sexy" and others.
    Its just my opinion.

and not too much of anything. You will find yourself buying so much more than you need. I still buy like I am eating the old way and throw away more than ever. You literally can not keep up with the left overs. I am 5 months out and anything liquid I can consume 1/2 cup if it has any solid components about 1/4 cup. A can of Soup is about 4 to 5 meals.
