  1. I'm about 2.5 weeks post op gastric bypass.

Pretty much every night, after I've been laying down for like 5 minutes, I have to get up and take a Zofran due to the nauseous feeling coming over me. The Zofran helps tremendously but I don't want to have to take it forever if I can avoid it.

I had a Protein Shake several hours before bedtime, those are the easiest on my stomach.

Has anyone else had this problem? Did it go away eventually?

  2. I stayed 2 nights. My surgery was afternoon on a Monday. That night when I woke up I was pretty out of it, didn't give a damn that I had a catheter in even though I had never had one of those. I had my pain pump and slept. Tuesday I concentrated on sipping Water and sleeping. Wednesday I went home after noon.

I'm glad that I had those 2 nights of supervision and help from nurses and their staff.

  3. well I had the last of my preop appointments yesterday. They did an ekg, some bloodwork, pregnancy test etc. I met with surgeon and anesthesiologist and multiple nurses and the nutritionist. So now I am just counting down the hours! On Monday morning I go in at 750am and will have surgery at 950! My bff comes to visit tomorrow and we are going hiking and then I am clear liquids on Sunday. I can't believe it is almost here!

I just had my surgery done by Dr. Brethauer at the Cleveland Clinic on May 9th!

  4. I am not on Facebook unfortunately. Got rid of it a couple years ago.

I WISH I could quit Facebook because it really does take up too much of my time, and time I certainly don't need to spend sitting. However, I would feel completely cut off from my family and friends as most of them seldom talk by phone because they put everything on FB! It's a sad sign of our times. I am envious that you were able to.

Yeah don't be too envious. Since I got rid of it I have like no friends. My fiancé and my family are the only people I hang out with. I don't mind, because I'm a loner anyway. But sometimes I do mind. *shrugs*. It's sad that Facebook is depended on for staying in touch.
