what ever happened to the Bile issue you guys/gals we're having.... I'm 3 weeks out - was revised - had surgery 5/27 and then again on 6/8 for an obstruction they said due to scar tissue - I'm awaiting a call back again for another CT scan, as I started vomitted bile again this morning... surgeon sending me for a CT scan ASAP. I hope its nothing and I have to be opened up again.. I'm going to lose it - I did this for GERD and here I am now with BILE! LOL

You're so touchy!!! You come across as sooooo rude and a know it all... We are all in this together! This your first surgery - bypass - or were you revised - she was revised and has different mind set maybe and her surgeon or nutritionist might have different ways of doing bariatric diets - not all are the same - I'm a revision and on my 3rd week - I'm up to oatmeal and farina and pureed - even though I had a hold up last week - they told me to pick up where I left off - You are also in Aussie and I believe their medical practices are probably different from where she is from - you can't come across as rude, well you can - but maybe take a step back before you post - we are all very sensitive, trying to do the right thing - learning as well as we can... Okay -I'm off my soap box now

Hmmm, could it be sure -- protein shakes though - I had the oatmeal this morning - was mushy and watery, but went down okay - now having an Ensure *hospital gave me a few to take home* and mixed half with ice and some Salted Caramel lean body brand protein... so far so good - stomach is gurgling, but it could be making its way around LOL I'm going to try Almond Milk and chocolate powder later this afternoon and see if it's the milk like you said. Never had an issue with these shakes, now BOOM!!! grrrr

I’m having a bit of an episode tonight. This hasn’t been an easy journey so far. I got revised 5/27 and was in the hospital another 3 nights this week. One for a huge hematoma, it happens. 2 nights to repair some scar tissue, a very fast healer the doc said as it was twisting and I was vomitting bile and had a sour stomach. He went and repaired it. I feel gassy today being home. Trying to drink as much as I can but I just can’t do it. Even with the sleeve I had an issue with liquids. Especially water. Tonight I took two gas pills and within an hour now I vomited them right up. Omg! So scary. Here we go again. I’m so afraid. Did I make a mistake by getting the RNY. Will this be my life now moving forward. I recall the sleeve being easier. I’m so anxious tonight so excuse me if I’m rambling. I’m so sad. Why did i do this. Was it worth it. Should I have lived with the constant daily nausea and heartburn :-(( I

Hey. I didn’t wake up and vomit with the sleeve. No. Maybe, I’m on Protonix 40 and it always worked. Nexium always was the best for me before this one. Maybe I’ll get some And try it. It’s not stomach acid. But I am calling Monday for sure. So far i haven’t vomited again but feel bloated and sick. I cannot get 64 in. Water makes me puke lol shakes aren’t going down well either. I had a small bowl of mushed mushed oatmeal. I ordered farina and mashed potatoes lol so I’m gonna see if it’s just a empty stomach.

So I just woke up and vomited. I don’t really get this. I’m so upset it’s making me so anxious. Like wth! I did this to avoid heartburn issues and here I am. Is it bowel?  Is it bile?  Could it be I’m not eating/drinking enough. He said he fixed the twist. Could it be dehydration?

Yes. Walking. Around the house etc. a little wind and gas. I’m sure it’s air that they pump in there. I took those charcoal pills. I just vomited them up. This is going to be a new way of life, I see. Sleeve was so different and seemed easier.

Elective is for your health. Mine was elective. I didn’t have to do it. It was for my health moving forward

I don’t think it’s heartburn. I’ve experienced heartburn most of my life. Had the revision and then re opened for scar tissue etc on Wednesday. Feel okay but feels like something is stuck in my throat and abdominal pain. Might be gas? Just took some charcoal capsules/anti gas. I hope this isn’t going to be a life long issue(s). I hope I didn’t make a mistake doing a revision.

Oh ... I've had plenty of them for some reason the went back in lapro. hmmm

So, I’m home ... again!!! Just got home from being re-opened after my RNY on 5/27.  I went back in, to the ER per my surgeon, due to vomiting and nausea of bile.  They redid a contrast CT. And found the same thing they did last Saturday night, when I went for the hematoma.  So turns out, he went back inside my belly, or lack of, to scope and see what the issue was.  He said I must heal fast and that there was scar tissue at the “y” part of the bypass and it was twisting. He sees it happen but two weeks out was quick. So he fixed it as far as I’m told. Three more incisions, haha, to add to the abdomen.  I feel sore and tired but glad to be home. Hate being in a hospital bed.  I hope this was a “fluke” and not a list of things to come. Glad to catch it now.  Has anyone had this? ? ?  I’ve always had an issue with Water consumption with my sleeve and stil feel feel the same today. I’m hoping it’ll get better and my life Won’t be a sip of water.  The nurse listened to by belly today before discharge and said it sounded like a coffee percolater lol churning and churning. I hear nothing. So either I’m Hungry and don’t realize or it’s the bowels now that they might be working better with out that “obstruction” Or “twist” in the way! haha 

What’s an EGD. My guy went in again in the same spot. Could be that’s what he did?

Oh, I see --- I didn't look it up -- I messaged you asking you what a stricture is LMAO!! but I guess thats what it is - he said scar tissue.

DS I assume is duodenal switch. I’m unsure what it is. Just Know the term :-) I had a RNY 2 weeks ago. It wasn’t for weight loss, please consider the reasoning for it. Insurance might Not, almost Guaranteed not to, will not cover for weight loss. Make sure. It’s a hard coverage and some allow one WLS per policy etc.

Hi Do you think it’s the amount of protein that’s giving you an issue? Wonder why. Too rich!? I have 30g of protein in my shake. Did with the sleeve and now with bypsss. Mind you I’m only about 2 1/2 weeks out from my Bypass and split it with two meals for now. Could it be the flavor?. Is it mixed with water? I oddly enough find that cookie and cream give me a stomach ache.
