ive never bought into the chemical thing, everything we eat or drink is made with chemicals even organic vegetables. I wont go into what organic means in the U.S. but its not what you think. if you need it go for it, yes after surgery you cant have it. BUT I have found a way around it, for when im off stage 4. You may notice on the market that there is a machine called a soda stream, to make your own soda. well you can get caffeine free coke and Pepsi and not use the carbonation function so you make basically flat diet caffeine free Pepsi or coke or ginger ale I believe too. SO this is a way to enjoy it. Like I said I don't belive in the bad splenda or whatever. If it wasn't for chemicals we wouldn't have Protein shake mix, chewable Vitamins or Calcium etc. Just my Opinion. Even my nutritionist thought it was a great idea for people who need that diet soda taste. As far as I am concerned if it helps someone lose their weight, Im pretty much all for it.
Good luck, You can do this! and I love you all.!

its a dramatic difference, not just in size obviously, but youre not out of breath, youre a hell of a lot more limber, you last longer and all those hormones will kind of make you real horny quite alot more. so prepare the woman in your life.

sir, well april is going to be a bit early for you this year. you have to use the honeymoon period to its fullest. you can drink beer, but to do so this soon, is wayy too soon.
Can you drink beer eventually? sure. as long as you counter it with exercise. I actually work as a brewer for s commercial brewery and I am heavily involved in the beer culture and scene. You can do it. you just have to be smart about it.

To each their own, in this. I can say this ive had crabs from edamame crackers made with some rice flour, a few with hummus is fine, or i found some great chickpea chips with some homemade salsa rocks, but again if i eat to many, i stall , carbs are the enemy unfortunately. I had a bite of a piece of toast last weekend, and realized afterward that it was simply a waste. You have to find that healthy mid-line for yourself, how many carbs you need vs how many you take in.
On an average day i manage to keep my carbs under 10 grams. on a bad day i can go as high as 30. But i try to get my carbs from veggies if possible. Even if its a starchy veg, i limit how much, So i might have two tablespoons of mashed potato say, or a spoonful of sweet potatoes. but only maybe once a week.

You are correct though. 100%. It took a few therapy sessions for me to realize, my parents who fought like dogs and cats and my family in general did, were only quiet and happy when we were eating. As A result i equated food with happiness, and well you get the picture. Coming to terms with that has big the biggest part of my journey.
Good luck, you can do this.

Thrift shopping enabled me to buy whole new wardrobes multiple times and now I have a wardrobe I'd have killed for before, Versace, lucky, Armani, givenchy, Gucci never paid more than 10 bucks for them, my jeans collection is the envy of those who know me, try it, you'll love it. As to not wanting to eat, that's fine , just don't then, eat when you get hungry not when the click says to, this surgery is also to stop hunger, so use this time to it's fullest

you can do a lot better than 200 sir, trust me. Youve got it in you. at 5'9 i started at 408 and made it down to 170 in 368 days. while you cant afford to lose that much weight. you sure can lose a lot more than the additional 40 pounds. Try to set a bigger goal. at 200 pounds and 5'10 you'd still have a BMI that makes you clinically obese.
You can do this. its a lifestyle change, not a diet. Keep up on the forums ask a lot of questions and dont blow your honeymoon period on wasted calories. The gym is your friend, it always will be, and so is your sleeve.
    You can do this!

Well, not exactly what you wanted but since I had my surgery and lost the weight, I've been promoted 3 times, and now head up my department. So in a way Yes, this enabled me to do that. SO it has enabled me to be a lot better at what i do, and Others dont judge me the same.
I think there is often a subconscious reaction to the " fat guy or gal" that people do treat you differently. If not openly different then subconsciously for sure.
When you lose the weight etc, people see that as a sign of responsibility and change, and as a result, things happen.
