Hang in there, I recieved a call from my Doctor Four days befor my surgery, he said that he had some kind of eye infection and had to postpone the surgery until one week later. Then on the evening of the new schedueled date, I recieved a call saying it had to be moved from Wednesday to Thursday due to the fact that he had to rescheduel so many surgeries. I Felt like he just didnt want to do it!!. Well Five weeks later it's all done and I'm moving on and so will you.

August post op sleevers: Check in

Hi Guys, I was sleeved on 8/6/14, Down 15 Pounds since surgery. Surgery was flawless had zero pain only took pain meds the 1st night home and slept in the recliner for two days. Guess I was one of the lucky ones! The Phase I, II, and III and shakes weren't as bad as though, although I wouldn't want to do them over again. Well the party's over, I am back to work tomorrow *^%(*#@!! but cant wait to get back in the Gym and Pool.

  8. Hi Guys, Three weeks post op and I am doing better than I expected. I have noticed that every time I eat my meals I can hear my Tummy Growling. Anyone else have this issue In the early stage? Thanks I would love your advice.
  9. Hi Heather, Boy do I feel you on this one! I am three weeks post on and will be honest. I have never purred Anything, I find it takes too much time and too much to clean up. I have been eating Bob Evans mashed potatoes and I just mash up my veggies. I cut my meat into little tinny pieces and chew, chew, chew. I haven't had any issues with food going down as well as keeping it down. Have you tried oatmeal or cream of wheat for Breakfast ? Baby food may also be an option. Good Luck.
  10. Man you are looking Buff Dude !!

  13. Hello sleevers, Well I am officially sleeved three weeks today. Over the past few days I have started Driving, doing light household, and garden work, shopping, exercise, etc, etc. Problem is I have been so active during the day I have failed to get in all of my required meals. Haven't skipped on the shakes at all and doing pretty well on Fluid intake. I hope this does not become more persistent when I return to work and get back into a normal stride
  14. I don't think so. My Initial weight was 247 Lbs, BMI of 38.5, I was sleeved three weeks ago (TODAY) and have come down to 202 Lbs. Good Luck to you. I am also in Pa, keep us posted.

    Newbie

Hey Jeff, I was sleeved just a little over two weeks ago and I feel Fantastic! I chose the Sleeve because it has a much faster recovery rate and its a one time deal. I did not want go thru the Red Tape Paper Shuffle again to have the lap band reversed if it was not an effective tool for me, not only that But I would of had to accumulate sick time again!, put in for FMLA again!, you know where I'm going with this right !. I would advise you to do all the research you can inside and out on any procedure that you choose, and talk to people who have had all procedures. Anyway I salute you in making this awesome change, and I'm here for yah Bra. Get Back At Me.
  21. Great story ! I hope I will be successful as you. Keep up the good work.
  22. You're going to do great. I can't tell you how many times I thought about backing out. After my Initial interview I asked my Doctor if it was OK to start drinking one or two shakes a day while I began my exercise program, I was losing pretty rapid, then when I started my two week Pre op diet the weight came off even faster. I was at the point where I said Heck, If I can do this why bother with the surgery. Then it hit me like a ton of bricks, I thought how many times have I lost a few pounds only to put it back on. So two weeks post-op I can tell you I went shopping yesterday and my pant size is down from a 44 to a 38!! it's a no brainer. Good luck, get a good night's sleep and get ready for a new and healthy life. Keep Us Posted.

    Walking after surgery

Great advice from Bob, I did exactly the same during my hospital stay only thing I did different was I took my Water with me and sipped every few minutes. This seemed to make it go faster as they require you to drink two oz of water every fifteen minutes. Good luck and keep us posted
