Hope the surgery goes well in February!! I am so happy I had this done!! I did mine for health reasons and to get off many of my meds. I kept having more and more things going wrong with me because of my excess weight. Embarrassed to be out in public, etc. It's been two years since my surgery and I'm almost 68. I would do it again in a heart beat.

Thank you for all those who responded and for those who respond later. I am so glad I found this community to talk about the pains that we all have felt at one time or another and not be judged or looked down on. Good luck to all of us on are new life and cant wait for positive stories!

I was married at 21. 30 years later after putting up with someone putting me down my whole life, I am ready to meet someone who loves and supports me. I look back now and he was most abusive at 180 lbs after child birth etc. I ate to hide. Living a new life now. This year is for me. Bring on 2015

My daughter and hubby and 3 yr old and baby are here for 10 days. A Baptism, celebrations and Christmas food. Doing good so far, thank you band!

My 4 week stall ended with a 7 pound weight loss registered at the Doctors. I told her I didn't believe the weight she said,she printed it out and handed it to me. Wow Happy Day

My granddaughter got Baptized yesterday. I NEVER look forward to dressing up. I think stockings should be outlawed. Mine were easy to get into, loose but held tummy in. Tall boots that I purchased but only had on once as it is hard holding breath and leaning over same time. Slid on. Wow I felt like a million bucks. 1x instead of 3x is a huge miracle!

I've screwed up and since Halloween I've reintroduced sugar into my eating. And now I'm eating everything. I've gained about 10 lbs. Thanksgiving and seeing family made reverting to old habits too easy and I ate many, many things I shouldn't have. But I'm not going to beat myself up about it. I will just get back on track. I did do something recently that I'm proud about--I ran a 5K Turkey Trot and got 6 of my family members to do it too! But then I gave myself permission to eat like a crazy lady and that's gonna stop right now.
It's gonna be a rough week detoxing from sugar again. I've done it before, i'm gonna do it again!!!!!!!!! Send me some positive vibes.

I totally agree with u. Once I stopped dealing with it with food, I had to face the music. Im seeing a therapist now for myself not My marriage. My marriage is over . my new life begins. My Tummy Tuck is tomorrow with Lipo of the back and fat transfer to butt...I'm so excited. The toxic things are gone. New life.

Wow! I'd better get off my lazy ass now. Very inspirational!!

I find it weird to say "congratulations" for all your hard work but I can't think of a better word. I also wanted to thank you for coming to post here. I started at 401 and am now down to 350. My surgeon has told me that realistically I could expect to get down to about 240, but I would so love to get below 200. It is really inspiring to read of your success and accomplishments.

@@Dragonfly8a I'm sorry that you are going through this, and I have to be harsh with you here for a minute. If you are bleeding internally to the point that you are seeing this dried coffee ground like blood you need to do a little more then just loosen the band!
You need to get yourself to a Dr. and have an upper endoscopy done to make sure that there is no band erosion and/or slippage or other things like stomach ulcer and/ or the dreaded "c" word! No one wants to hear that but all those things can be possible so check it out and don't assume that it's all band related.
If you have the all clear, then you need to keep that band relatively loose and allow your self to heal. You know what to eat and what not to eat by now, and you can make this work by hitting they gym and turning that 30 pounds into lean muscle. Don't mess with your health and your life over 30 pounds it's not worth it. You have done amazing so far, keep living and enjoying life and take care of yourself!!

HELL YES, Lap Band again. Slow weight loss is hard but I am here for life and I have the time

I heard about the band by commercial. Googled it and requested a consultation. Booked during first phone call for two weeks later. Sometimes we just KNOW the right time for ME to start this journey. I had NO financial support with insurance and still working hard for success. Perhaps we aren't all ready at certain ages.
