@FluffyChix Bizarro...and your thread got hijacked, to boot!

Could Someone 'Splain This To Me?

I actually contemplated not responding (as you see, I didn't respond to nomorefattypatty insults...no discussion there), but I will... Don't get mad and take your ball home. Don't let one online interaction take away something you find beneficial for your ongoing health and success...that would be self-sabotage. You should stay if you find support here. I rarely comment on threads like this, but I did ask a question...and it still wasn't answered by either of you. I was truly confused, as I stated, and my question was serious...as I stated. I can't answer why this was in your feed (as the last post before yours was in September)...regardless, the actual post that you commented on was a year old; you became indignant about it (which led to nomorefattypatty defending the president, a grown man who doesn't need defending; which led to additional discussion of a topic, by your account, should not be discussed here) ...in the ensuing year that it was posted nobody referenced the comment about the president, except you..you highlighted it...you started the discussion (go back and take a look); people have now responded (which is guaranteed to happen in any open access online community); the thing that really got me was the comment that this resurrected discussion point about the president isn't appropriate for this site...but it was already dead and had never become a discussion point until now. And I am not being facetious here: What did you think would happen when you posted that? Did you think people would not respond to it? If you did, how did you think people would respond? Since you say that I wasn't helpful in my response to you, did you actually think your initial comment was helpful for this community, especially given the divisive environment that we are living in?

Could Someone 'Splain This To Me?

In all seriousness: @joannniemiec @nomorefattypatty The main question is what was the intent in RESURRECTING a YEAR OLD post that began this railing against/arguing/fighting/defending/supporting the comment about the president and/or the president himself, when that post was ALREADY DEAD/NOT COMMENTED ON THEN/FROM SOMEONE WHO HADN'T POSTED SINCE OCTOBER; then jumping to the conclusion that @Beachladee3 was laughing at the president comment back in September (as opposed to any other part of the post); then following up your comments by stating this discussion has no place on this site...when you brought it up again and continue to post about it?!?! I am flummoxed. Should have let sleeping dogs lie, instead of necroposting! Let it die.

Sophomoreville - A Home For The the Tweeners

I am gone for a few hours and all hell breaks loose! I can't keep up. Whiplash...I love this group! Let me see... Deviated from what I knew lead to successful outcomes when the fluid was removed from my band in February...gained significant weight (25#). Sleeved in October and found the mind that I had lost over those months. Back on track though... Goals: Concussion recovery!! Get over the stall and really start losing again. Nothing fast (like I have a choice), but consistent. Get back into my awesome clothes...and wear the hell out of them...LBD at the movie theater, Louboutins at the grocery store, Church hats to work on Wednesdays...you get the point!😆😂 And doing it all with my head held high and my boobs/skin hanging low! Never had tea laxatives, though I am chronically constipated...well not constipated per se, but regular every 4-5 days. Been like this my whole life...the one change is that since I have been taking BP vitamins, my stool is oddly dark green. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I will have an arm lift. My arms have always been on the fuller side and I have never liked them. I now have sagging skin, so it must go! The one issue that I have is that my forearms are proportioned to the current size of my upper arms. I am concerned that my arms might look weird and misformed. I haven't explored how that would be addressed with reducing the size of my upper arms. At the same time, I will have a breast reduction/lift! Right now I am rolling my boobs up and stuffing them in my brassiere. YIKES! Not a good look! 😂😳 I figure if they can push all the remaining tissue in these two potato sacks up, there will be enough to sit just right! Could use an inner thigh lift, but have heard such horror stories about recovery and infections that I am not sure if I would go that route. I don't wear shorts anyway, so it wouldn't matter. Would consider a tummy tuck to remove stretch marks from pregnancy. They only formed below my belly button, so it could be fairly easy to cut enough skin away to remove them. Without the stretch marks, I am actually happy with how the skin on my stomach retracts when I lose weight. My chin is showing its age and its double chin/not double chin/double chin (rinse, repeat) status. I don't need to address this now, but maybe later in life if I start to look like turkey neck.

Hey there, everyone...I'm baackkk! Weekend away with family. And drum roll please.... The horrible 3 week stall is over. Down 1.8#. Will take all 18 tenths of a pound, thank you very much!!!😊😀😆 Now off to get caught up on all the haps...

So, I am in about a 2.5 week stall (know it's inevitable, but still not fun!). I have been Zumbaing this week and am having such increased hunger, which makes sense. Unfortunately, I am craving carbs😒.

Eating at a bar... a new experience.

To me, it is always easier to just get the water and not drink it...no questions asked (or repeatedly asked!).

    Food Before and After Photos

Seriously... When I saw the before/after, I felt like it was a "can you find 5 differences between the pics" game!😂 It took a minute to see what was actually eaten because I originally thought she uploaded the same pic twice!😊

Umm...what?!...hospital? Unless, of course, you just love hospital cuisine and make special trips for meals, are you alright?

I have difficulty swallowing water, Kitty, and can't get 64oz in if I had to drink from a cup. I have to use a straw. For some reason I can get more down throughout the day this way (80oz). When I could guzzle, it was easier, but since that is off the table for now...😒 The more I drink, the thirstier I become and crave water. If I have a few days of low intake, then I don't crave water. My doctor says we need a minimum of 48oz of water for bodily functions, but there are so many people who don't even come close and they are still alive. Perhaps chronic dehydration contributes to other health issues down the road? Instead of paying for it today, Wimpy pays on Tuesday?!?

@Orchids&Dragons Apologies if you have shared before, but I haven't come across it. Did something happen with your sleeve that required conversion to RnY in such a short amount of time?

I would probably be considered a hybrid, too. Lap band in 2014, conversion to sleeve 10/10/18. I didn't have hair loss with the band, but am concerned with the sleeve. I am locked, so losing locs would be weird for re-growth because there would many baby locs with long, mature locs. I have over 500, so I should be able to hide it, if it occurs (not if the locs fall out in the front😒, YIKES!). I have been taking biotin and trying to swallow the L-lysine horse pills, but it is definitely a challenge. Even when I cut them in half, it is difficult. They get stuck and scratch going down. I am successful with 500mg 3-4 times a week. I hope these attempts are helping!

    Your eyes are beautiful!
  21. For the first time since surgery, I was actually hungry yesterday...maybe stress or boredom hunger because I had eaten the most daily calories PO. I also had my first craving experience (wanted SkinnyPop sooo bad)... I had 10 pistachios (still on soft), drank some water and went to bed.
  22. Checking in! Challenge Starting weight: 190 Current weight: 188 Losing Missed the exercise goal, but will get it this week Been in a stall for almost two weeks😒...Grrr...onward!

    Anyone NOT taking their vitamins?

How bad?...BAD I am not a fan of chewable multivitamins (tried the usual suspects, including once daily tabs...all made me gag/ shudder with subsequent nausea...more than once a day was never going to happen...disgusting). I ordered BariLife complete multivitamin powder (includes calcium and iron...not sure how that works😒, but I digress...twice daily mix, with water), but haven't even tried it because while waiting for the delivery, I tried BP once daily multivitamin capsules and haven't looked back. Easy(er) to swallow, no "chewable aftertaste", no film on your teeth or floating particles that won't go down, no nausea (this is not meant to be a plug for any particular product, but just my experience). Levels will be drawn in a month... Find what you can tolerate (trial and error) and just take them! After all you have been through with surgery, why would you even risk it?!
