It feels so good to take clothes out of the closet and put in the donation pile because they are too big rather than too small for a change!

Never realized what an obession I had with clothes until I started to clean mine out. I have cleaned it out four times now and still have plenty.....couldn't tell I have cleaned it out if I didn't have a large container of hangers. I still have not wrapped my head around the size I am now wearing. I bought some new tops (just because I wanted something new..LOL) and had to take them all back because they were way to big......BOY that feels good!!!

  2. Gratitude List Addition: "You're looking thin." -- Colleague to me :)

  3. Gratitude List Addition: Several people have told me now that I look "normal" meaning that when I'm seen "overweight" is not the category they's put me in. I've still got more to lose, but, it is nice to no longer the biggest person in the room.

  4. Gratitude List Update: Bittersweet. I was out with my Mom who is so trapped in her body due to her obesity. It reinforced my decision and my progress.

  6. Gratitude List Addition: Okay, this one may be TMI but it really is significant. Today I could comfortably use a regular bathroom stall (and not a handicap stall).

      Again, Congrats !!!

  7. Gratitude List Addition: Received major weight loss acknowledgement from someone I hadn't seen for a while. Nice to be noticed and told how great I was looking! :)

I'll have to add that to my Gratitude List too. I remember seeing the movie Lawrence of Arabia and at one point Lawrence was eating a meal out of a tin that looked to be the size of a shoe polish container, and I thought, "no one can eat so little and be satisfied". And now, that's my normal meal size too! Who'd thunk it! :-P

I'm relatively new to this and I'm so great flu to be on this journey after years of failure.

  13. Starting gratitude list now: just over 2 weeks post op and already blood pressure is consistently normal without meds! Before surgery ON meds I was lucky to get a 140/95. Now I'm 117/78. :)
