Cowboy Jane-that guy was just a dick. Always has been always will be. Good you were able to weed him out early before you got too invested. You've got great instincts-trust them always.

@@CowgirlJane - We are roughly the same age, we have both been through similar physical changes. I have dated heavy for three years dated lighter for almost a year (and I think that is when I really sewed my post divorce wild oats)...but found someone three months ago that has so resonated with me that I canceled all my online dating profiles, gotten rid of the harem (the code word for all the women who just enjoyed occasional sex, but didn't want a relationship) and just have focused on THE ONE. This is really exciting. It's worth the effort. I can't describe how wonderful it is when you finally find someone who you really look forward to seeing, and can just enjoy talking about everything...but feel comfortable with them not being in contact because you just know they are busy. It is so dang cool to be with someone who you just want slow kisses to go on forever. It was worth every heart ache, bad date, idiot, liar and mentally unstable person I have run across, because the wrong ones for me made me realize I hit the jackpot. I know the good, the bad and THE ONE. The journey begins.

Since my surgery (RNY) 7 1/2 weeks ago weight loss has been a little slow. I'm down a total of 46 pounds but couldn't "see" much of a difference in myself. Well my daughter convinced me to take a pic of myself today and while it's not a huge difference, I can see some progress so far!

I'm in the UK, and traditionally we measure weight in stones and pounds, rather than just pounds.( a stone is 14 pounds)
For each stone I lose I buy a charm to put on a necklace. Pandora is the brand.
Well today I have lost a total of 56 pounds or 4 stone, so this weekend I get a new bead for my necklace.
( sadly I need about 10 beads in total, but hey, I'm getting there.) Was just sleeved on 3rd Sept.

I think we all decide if we want to go back and look the way we did at one time. I sure eat what I want but with moderation. I cannot over eat specially that picture with all that food lol I would feel sick! We all
Know it's a tool and does help out very much! I think that people were probably not really ready in having the surgery and they just go back to the way they once were. It's like why have surgery in the first place then? I know I wouldn't want to gain the weight I've lost because I feel great and proud of myself. Everyone is different and we are not "lucky"we are just doing what we need to ???? and working our butts off. Great post!

Ditto... I have been able to tie my cold to my weight loss periods. When I have a "stall" I tend to not been as cold.... Only when I am actively losing does the cold set it - and boy does it. I now have to wear thermal. Husband is from Minnesota and he rolls his eyes - we live in California.

Yup. I was cold pretty much non-stop for the first couple of months. I think it is pretty common and due to the shift in hormones and other metabolic changes.

Oh I am right there with you...and I live in Arizona! Basically everyone in my office rolls their eyes when I complain I'm cold at this point, because they're usually all warm/hot because if I had my way the thermostat would be set to "tropical heat". My husband wanders around shirtless while I snuggle under a blanket on the couch in my socks, pants, and sweater. I guess it's a good thing that I've lost me thick layer of insulating fat??!
