Yesterday was my 6 month surgiversary and I am down 91 lbs. I was hoping to be 100 lbs down by the time 6 months rolled around but I keep stalling. I started using My Fitness Pal which helps me see what I eat every day and since then, the weight loss has started to come off again, ableit slow. I eat approximately 1,000 calories each day and walk every day.

My favorite Quest bar is the Cookies n' cream. I like it so much I bought an entire box when they were on sale at GNC ($24.99 for a box of 12). The apple pie and chocolate chip cookie dough are also pretty good.

I had a NSV this weekend. I wore a Ralph Lauren size 14 dress to my bridal shower. I started this journey a size 22. I'm 2 lbs away from losing 60 lbs!

I try to keep my daily calorie and carb intake low. On a good day I am under 600 calories and a not so good day would be under 700. My daily carbs are always around 20 grams a day. They use to be much lower, but have increased since I added vegetables and tiny portions of fruit.
I would increase my calorie intake if I did more cardio, but right now I am speed walking an hour a day. Plus, I have hypothyroidism, which will stall my weight loss if my calories go over 800 or my carbs over 20. My weight loss for the month of March has been 12 pounds. This is a much slower loss as compared to earlier months.
My goal was to get to 160 lbs by month 6 pre op. I'm only 6 pounds away right now and I'm not going to beat myself up if I'm not there in 9 days. My original weight loss goal was to get to 160 lbs, but I have lowered it to 150 lbs after looking at the BMI chart. My primary care physician thought that I looked good enough to stop losing weight, but I disagree because I'm not at a healthy weight according to the BMI chart. I am going to try to get to 150 because I would actually like to be at a normal weight. I'm tired of going to health screenings and reading that my printout says that I am overweight or obese. I think it is okay to be skinny as long as you are healthy.

Hi guys! I'm just a few weeks out from 6 months. I have lost a total of 112 pounds. I've gone down from size 32 jeans being really tight to size 26 being loose, and on top I've gone from a 32/5X to a 24/3X or 22/2X, depending on cut and material. I'm about a 24 dress size now.
About me: 5'8", mid-30s, large frame, PCOS and hypothyroid
    What I eat:
Breakfast: a Protein shake or Protein Bar
Lunch: 3-4 ounces of meat, 3-4 ounces of veg, sometimes 1-2 ounces of starch if there is room left
Afternoon snack: Protein Bar or alternate snack (cheese, veggies and dip, etc.)
Dinner: Whatever the family is eating, adapted to focus on Protein and veg, eaten in the 3 bites protein 2 bites veg 1 bite starch pattern
I sometimes add another snack if I've done a heavy workout and need a little something else - a piece of fruit or some cheese, often.
    On average, I'm getting:
    1230 calories
    30g sugar
    76g protein
    26g Fiber
    1800 mg sodium
    656 mg Calcium before supplementation
    7mg Iron before supplementation
    108g carbs
    Working out:
I strive for 150 minutes of activity a week. I mostly do walking, and then 3 times a week on average I go to the gym for high-intensity interval cardio plus weight training. I lift pretty heavy (8 reps per set) and have been really happy with the strength gains I've seen. I do a lot of walking apps and games to keep myself interested - The Walk, Zombies, Run!, and Ingress, for instance.
    NSVs:
    So many!
-I can now sit painlessly in the Evil Chairs in my office
-I can now fit into restaurant booths
-I can buy clothes in more than just one store instead of just being limited to Catherine's
-My bad knee is waaaaaaay better, so I don't need a cane to walk anymore
-I am off BP meds and metformin
-I have more energy and feel overall happier
I'm going to fly somewhere next month. Can't wait!

Everyone has different tastes so the sweetness of Protein shakes will vary based on your taste buds. I'm not a big fan of very sweet Protein Shakes either. I drink Premier Protein RTD's which contain 30g of Protein per shake and I also like Syntrax Nectars vanilla Bean Torte.

I've had cake, pie, Cookies and candy........all in very small amounts. As @@finediva said, I didn't have surgery to never eat sweet again. I had it so I can learn to control what I eat. And I have. I know I can't eat sweets every day and in the massive quantities that I did before surgery, but having a bite of my husbands dessert when we go out to dinner is just good for my mental health. I don't feel deprived AND I feel like I'm finally in control.

Well, I've had cake and Cookies (fiber one cookies) and about three Hersey kisses. Haven't felt guilty yet. I didn't have this surgery to never eat these things, ever in my life again. I had the surgery to allow myself to have control over my eating. After a few bites of anything, I'm done! And my life goes on. I love the freedom of that. Before my surgery, I would be obsessed with eating the entire bag of candy or the WHOLE cake. Now I'm just not interested. Also, there are times sweets are presented to me and amazingly, I'm not interested. But if I am, I ask for a small piece, indulge and throw out the rest of it.

You are asking the wrong people. You should be asking your surgeon or nutritionist or referring to the diet plan they gave you.

I couldn't drive for 2 weeks post op per my surgeon's instructions and in the very beginning I just slow walked around the house for exercise. At 1 week post op I was allowed to get on the treadmill and walk a normal pace. Then at 6 weeks post op I was allowed to start to do pretty much anything.

I drink 6 oz. of soy milk for Breakfast, beef jerky/nuts for morning snack, inside only of a ground beef taco for lunch (ground beef, lettuce, Tomato and a little grated cheese), 1/2 chicken breast for dinner. Sometimes I make spaghetti with lean ground beef and marinara and Net Zero mushroom noodles. On the weekends I like to drag the grill out and do up some chicken wings and eat them throughout the week. YUM!

I've been drinking Isopure RTD mixed with Water and Crystal Light. So far my favorite combination has been Isopure Apple Melon and apple flavored Crystal Light (WalMart brand actually). The grape is just ok. The fruit punch and mango peach are both pretty good. There's also an orange flavor I've heard is also good.

Eating slow is hard for me as well but you get used to it. I just wish I could keep my food warm while I eat. By the time I'm half way through it's cold and I have to reheat it.

I thin mine out and eat them like a Soup with a little cheese on top. If you are just starting the soft foods...it will be easier to go down.
