  1. Hey everyone! I am 2 months post op, and I'm having random stomach spasms. They kind of feel like hunger pains... But I'm scared if I eat every time I get them I'm eating too much. They can take my breath away at times.. I've had them since I left the hospital, I just figured they would go away.... Anyone else having this issue?

  2. I need some advice.. How do you get past the head hunger and craving sweets?! I don't want to blow my success by eating something with sugar in it. I have a family reunion this weekend and I know it's going to hard around all the food... But I know I can do it, just wondering if someone can give me some advice to get through it. Thanks in advance:)

  3. I got my surgery on August 1st and have been on liquid since surgery.....so tired of liquid! I had a few bites of fish yesterday and it was great to get the taste of meat. I know that probably sounds so strange but I am so tired of sweet tastes! How soon did anyone try fish after surgery? I heard fish is the easiest to go down, that's why I tried it first

I was sleeved on 8/20 and tried a piece of turkey yesterday... Just a small piece and chewed it a million times bc I know I'm not supposed to have it... But it was sooo good:-)

  4. I too am on liquids until Wednesday. I do not feel full... And as painful as the spasms are, I'm glad to hear someone else is having them. I was beginning to wonder if it was hunger pains! I'm still having my head hunger. Is this an issue for you also?

OMG the spasms are horrible!!! I had tried to lay in bed the other night and had to get up because they made my chest sore!!!! I beginning to wonder if it's acid reflux. I have been taking a PPI but I think maybe I will try a tums and see if that helps. Glad to know I am not the only one.

Angie, I have started using children's chewable Tylenol... Miracle workers on the spasms... I was actually able to sleep for 6 hours before waking up to a spasm:-)

  5. Reading this I'm not sure. I feel like I'm having hunger pain that go to my back. I wake up in the middle if the night. So now I'm grabbing naps when I feel satisfied. If I'm sucking or drinking something, I'm okay. But I will say I'm annoying. Like can I go to stage 2 if this is what it is???(I was sleeved 8/20) I have dreams if eating really good food. This is soooo torturous!!!! Help...any guidance out there???

I too am having these pains. It wakes me up all hours of the night! Even when I try to nap, I'm lucky to sleep good for 2 hours before the spasms start!

  7. Hey y'all! I was sleeved on 8/20... Doctor said everything went well during surgery. I lost 20 lbs on the pre-op diet!! I've lost 8 lbs since being home on 8/21! I had a heck of a time in the hospital, confusing nausea for pain.. I have been experiencing stiffness and fatigue like crazy... All in all, I have been pushing clear fluids and now Protein Shakes. I wake up every 3 hours (when I do sleep) with excruciating muscle spasms in my stomach.. I'm hearing this is normal?!?! Otherwise, I feel great:-) good luck to everyone who has been or is getting sleeved! You got this!!

  8. Ahhh!!! I'm working tonight then heading to the hospital when I get off!!! I can't believe the 20th is finally here!! I have been through a lot in the last 2 months and I'm finally doing something beneficial for myself!! I'm sooooo excited!! God bless everyone! Hoping all is well with everyone and a speedy recovery to all! I'll let you know how everything goes:-)

  9. My post op has been really good. Not much pain at all. A little hard to get out of bed though. Did learn that you have to walk and drank lots of Protein. My doctor requires 1 week cleat Liquid Protein, 2 week full liquid, 2 week pureed, and then we get to stay eating food.< /p>

That's crazy how all doctors are different... My doctor requires 1 month of liquid Protein Shakes, 1 month purée, 1 month soft texture then I can eat normal foods... So by thanksgiving I can eat reg food

  10. My surgery is Wednesday and I haven't done the best with this pre-op diet of liquids only... I've lost 12 lbs... I'm hoping that if I am really strict the next few days, all will go well. I've read where different people have different kinds of pre-op diets.. I work 3rd shift and some nights I feel like I have to binge to stay awake... I have to work the night before my surgery, which will be hard with nothing to eat or drink after midnight. I have to be at the hospital at 10:45 am, my surgery isn't until 12:45... Any advice?!

  11. With this pre op diet is anyone feeling really exhausted? I really don't have any energy and my tummy is grumbling it really hungry. Omg!! Wat am I going to do?

It has drained me completely! I felt like I was coming down with the flu... I have found that the OTC ready to drink shakes have filled me up and lasted longer, not sure why lol. I does get easier though:)
