I found a study about it. Apparently some people have had success with it. It's called laparoscopic re-sleeve gastrectomy. I didn't quickly find anyone doing it. Can you talk to your original surgeon?
Most people get the bypass for regain and I do know someone doing well with that.

Has any been experiencing being really hungry after sleeve and actually able to hold down Jello and Water? ? I’m so hungry for some reason and I thought that I would feel full quickly. It’s making the whole process really difficult that I’m feeling this hungry the day after surgery.

The Monat products are expensive, but they do the trick. Also, I cut my hair into an inverted bob, to where it just slightly touched my shoulders, to let it thicken back up, and that helped tremendously.

Thanks! The after picture was a year ago this past August. My husband had surgery too, so the before and after is the both of us.

This is more recent. Of course, I guess it’s kinda hard to actually tell, with my big coat on. Trust me....it’s still way better than before surgery.

Nothing but Water for a while & no liquids 30 minutes before or after each meal. Nothing but lean meat grilled or baked not fried. Whole fruits & veggies. No sauces oils or breaded fried foods whole grains on occasion. No bread potatoes corn squash or starchy foods. Avoid broth gravy or liquified foods. Only eat hearty solid foods. Exercise at least 3 times a week. Try it for a month or two & see if you get the results your looking for. Good luck! Also first meal within two hours of waking up then again every three hours through the day and nothing to eat two hours before bed.

Why do you think you don't want to eat or drink?
You may have to do anyway, otherwise you will become dehydrated and malnourished. Even if you're not getting ALL your Fluid and ALL your Protein, you need to get SOMETHING in. Do it with things you like....cheese, eggs, deli-meat. It doesn't have to be a big production. Just get some in you! It's better than the alternative.

I'm almost 8 weeks out and have gotten the hiccups when I'm full. It signals me that it's time to stop eating. Like the previous poster, I'm grateful for the reminder.

I'm not sure, and please tell me if any of you other stallers have had or are perhaps having the same experience, but I may have found the reason for what seems like a stall.
Since starting to eat more foods, but in very little amounts, I mean I can eat about as much as what fits in a yogurt cup, I have noticed that my bowel movements aren't what they were before my surgery. Prior to surgery, I was very regular, but now that we are eating so little, it seems it takes a little longer to process what it is we're eating and our body rids ourselves of it. I said all that to say this....and yes I'm having to be a little personal....I believe my stall may be due to the fact that my bowel movement routine has been interrupted by going to the bathroom less that before. I'm alluding to this because I woke up this morning, pretty early with stomach cramps and after several times in the potty, in under the 224 mark, but don't feel it's over....ha!
Has anyone else noticed that you go to the bathroom a little less frequently and perhaps it's hanging around a little too long causing us to stall a little? Just saying and asking Hope everyone has a great weekend! God Bless you all!

I've read quite a few posts from those who have stalled at this point. I think I'm going to make my husband hide the scale so that I only weigh once a week. I've got myself weighing several times a day and am driving myself insane with it....lol.

That really does sound extreme. Hang in there...we're all in this together, especially when you consider that you've lost, roughly 4lbs a week. That's very good!

TXGALINAR got a reaction from Kimber262 in HELP! I'm not losing weight
You should be eating anything near 2000 calories. Calories per day while losing should be between 500-850 and if you get in 850 cal in a day, that's a lot still. Don't worry about counting calories so much right now. Get your 70g protein/day, no sugar or very little, no carbs right now and plenty of Water. Stay away from as much sugar as possible.
I usually have a lo-carb slim fast Protein (Prepackaged) drink for Breakfast but I can usually only drink about half of it, so I save the other half for my afternoon snack, yogurt (low sugar, which is usually about 6-7g per container of 80 calorie yogurt or a sugar free Jello pudding, lunch may be a couple 2-3 thinly sliced deli meats and a triangle of Skinny Cow cheese, afternoon snack may be the other half of my skin fast drink and supper is a protein/meat and a little soft potatoes (when I say little, I literally mean, by the time I eat what Protein I can, it usually only a small bite or two of potatoes. In essence you should only be eating about the amour that would fit in a yogurt cup...perhaps less. You shouldn't be anywhere near forcing anything more than that. A good way to tell that you're full is you feel the restriction and/or you will hiccup. Stop by or before then. Change your menu up, but stick to that and plenty of Water.< /p>
Another thing may be that initially someone with a high BMI index will lose quite a few lbs really fast, but everyone is different. Everyone loses differently. I came home from hospital (I'm 5 weeks post op) with 10lbs Fluid on me. I took my Fluid meds, which they denied me in the hospital because they didn't want me dehydrated since you can't drink or eat anything at first. I took my fluid meds and was 10lbs less before I went to bed that night. Since then, in the first 4 week, I lost 35lbs (not including the 10lbs fluid that came off the day I came home) and have stalled this last week (week 4-5). I came here and learned that stalks around this time seem normal.
Please do t try to drive yourself to eat 2000 cal/day. You will be doing yourself an ill.

I guess it's a general consensus that you just stall at about the 4th week :-/

TXGALINAR reacted to Alex Brecher in Eight Vacation Essentials to Keep Your Weight Loss on Track
Millions of Americans will go away on vacation this year, and if you are lucky enough to be one of them, you need to know what to pack. Packing requires a little more thought than it did before weight loss surgery, when you did not have much to worry about besides your clothes and toiletries. After weight loss surgery, you need to be sure that you bring what you need to stay healthy and keep losing weight. That means adding a few extra items to your packing list. These are some essential additions to your suitcase when you are taking a trip after weight loss surgery.

Keep reading even if you’re one of the nearly half of Americans who are not going to travel this year. These tips can be just as helpful for staycationers as for vacationers, since the goals are the same. On vacation, you need to stick to your weight loss surgery diet, keep exercising, and be prepared for unexpected complications that can come up.
    Water Bottle
Before surgery, hydration was a lot easier. You grabbed a bottle of Water, a soda, or whatever else was around. If nothing was available at the moment, you just waited until the next opportunity to drink something. That doesn’t fly after weight loss surgery! You need to stay hydrated to keep your energy levels up and your hunger down, and you cannot afford the calories of sodas, juices, or sports drinks.< /span>
Another wrench is that you cannot drink beverages while you are eating solid food, so you need to be prepared to meet your Fluid requirements within small windows of time. Take a reusable water bottle so that you can always have water available when you need it. A reusable water bottle is not necessary if you are certain that you will always be able to purchase a few bottles of water when you need one. Include a few packets of powdered sugar-free beverage mix if you do not like the taste of water.
    Protein Powder
Getting enough Protein was no problem before weight loss surgery. There was no way you couldn’t get enough each day. After weight loss surgery, though, your 60 to 85 grams of protein per day can be challenging. Being on the road can make the task much more difficult. You might not be able to check the nutritional information of a food before it is time to eat your meal, or you might find yourself at a restaurant that seems to have no high-protein options. If you are in a foreign country, a lot of the foods you eat may be unfamiliar, so you will not know the exact protein content.

You can still enjoy these exotic foods on your vacation, though. Stash some Protein Powder in your suitcase so that you never need to risk being without enough protein. A 1-lb canister of protein powder can provide 300 grams of protein, which should be enough to help you meet your needs when you combine it with the healthy foods you choose during your trip.
    Healthy Snacks
Snacks and meals were easy before weight loss surgery. There is always some sort of food around, and when your stomach growled, you could hit the nearest vending machine, convenience store, or restaurant. After weight loss surgery, you need to eat healthy foods. If hunger strikes and you are unprepared, you are out of luck.

Bring a few healthy Snacks to prevent diet disasters at the airport and throughout your trip, unless you are certain that you will be able to visit supermarkets with the healthy foods you need whenever necessary. These are some ideas.
    Protein bars.
    Nuts or peanuts.
    Peanut butter.
    Beef Jerky.< /span>
    Microwave popcorn.< /span>
Packets of instant oatmeal (use the coffee maker in your hotel room to heat water to make the oatmeal).

    Emergency Contacts
Anything can happen at any time after weight loss surgery. Lap-band patients may get sick and need an unfill, and any weight loss surgery patient can need to see a surgeon for a variety of reasons. Be sure you know how to reach your surgeon, primary care doctor, your pharmacist, and a friend or family member who can act as your emergency contact. You likely already have their information in your cell phone, but write it down on paper, too. That way, you can easily make copies of the information. Include names, phone numbers, and email addresses.
    Anti-Nausea Medications
You may have already been prone to motion sickness and nausea before weight loss surgery, but the risks associated with vomiting are more serious after weight loss surgery. Vomiting can displace the lap-band or rip the staples if you have the gastric bypass, sleeve plication, or sleeve gastrectomy. Pack an over-the-counter anti-nausea and anti-vomiting medication that your doctor approves of so that you can minimize vomiting as soon as possible if you happen to get food poisoning or fall ill on vacation.
    Running Shoes
Take your running, walking, or other active shoes…because this year, you are going to participate instead of watching on the sidelines! Don’t forget other activewear, such as comfortable exercise clothes that are suitable for whatever you might encounter, whether that involves outdoor hikes or indoor group exercise classes on a cruise ship.
    Food Journal
Calories and portion sizes count just as much on vacation as at home, and logging your food is just as important. Take a paper notebook so that you do not need to rely on having internet access to log your food. Or, if you are staying in the U.S. and are confident that you can keep logging your food on your mobile device like you always do, you can stick with your smartphone.
    Nutritional Supplements
You don’t want to waste your vacation chasing down the assortment of Vitamins and minerals that you are supposed to be taking. Some of the vitamins and minerals may not even be available over-the-counter in the doses you need if you are in a foreign country. Bring enough of each kind of supplement that you take to comfortably see you through your trip.
