Hi everyone! It's been a loooonnnggg time since I've been here. So glad to see people are hanging in. Life has been busy but pretty good. I've lost 92 lbs. so far. I'm a slow loser but that's ok. 3 more lbs. to ONEderland! hair loss has been minimal and has pretty much stopped, thank goodness. Having some aches and pains but I have a very talented chiropractor. She's really helping me out a lot. I'm going to have to take some time and read back on some of the posts I've missed. I hope everyone is doing well and hanging in. Thanks for still being here! Hi. I think y'all know that I follow the Paleo way of eating. This means grass fed/finished beef, pasture raised chicken and eggs, pasture raised lamb and pork and only wild caught seafood. And veggies and a little fruit of course! I also eat a lot of fat. But the good fats. Coconut oil, avocado, butter from grass fed cows, etc. I honestly don't experience any dumping (except once when I ate too fast!) or any other issues that happen to us. There are a gazillion free paleo recipes on the Internet too. I haven't even tried anything with sugar or empty carbs at all. No bread, pasta, rice, etc. I'm scared to!!! Fear is a great motivator! I am hoping to stay away from all the bad carbs. I HOPE this will last forever! But I'm also human so I have no idea where I'll end up on the eating journey. Just hoping I can continue the way I have been. If anyone wants more info, let me know. I love helping!

I went to the surgeon on Thursday and he is very pleased with my labs. Makes me happy! I have to take my B12 supplements every other day now instead of every day and other than that, he thinks everything else is fine. I still have some concerns about a couple of the markers and will follow up with my regular doc and possibly an endocrinologist. Just want to be sure! Oh...and my cholesterol is better than its ever been! I am sticking with strict Paleo and I'm really happy with my results. Anyone else get your labs yet?

LOL Beni. Not sure others can hear your knee or not but you never know! My knee surgery was a result of a fall I had taken last summer. The inner meniscus had torn and rolled up under the knee cap. So, it's now fixed and everything is healing nicely. However, the surgeon said he'd see me in a couple years. Why? It seems my inner knee is that of a 30 year old while my outer knee is that of a 70 year old! There might be a partial replacement in my future. OY! LOL Other than that things seem to be going well. Some markers are off in my labs and am going to talk to the doc about that today. Hope you're doing well!

Hi y'all. Trying to catch up but it seems I've missed a lot! I had knee surgery two weeks ago and things are going well. @@Bronxmerci I'm sorry you're still having some issues. I hope you get better and can enjoy your weight loss soon. I'm also seeing that some of you are in or very close to onderland! So excited for you all! I'm still 37 lbs. away. Seems I'm a slow loser. As long as the scale is moving in the right direction, I'm ok with that! @@Beni you and I have the same gene. LOL I'll be able to get back to working out soon. Thanks everyone and I hope you're all heading toward happiness and health! Hugs, Sherri

Hi Everyone It's been a while since I've posted but I do try and read all your posts! I see people are posting their meal plans. I do pretty much the same thing every day. No real time for Breakfast so I always have my Jay Robb Protein shake with either blueberries or strawberries. I use almond milk. I take my Vitamins in the morning too and have added cod liver oil and flaxseed oil. I'm still very constipated! I drink a lot of Water on my way to work. I have a 2.5 hour commute so plenty of time to drink! Thank God there's a bathroom on the train! When I get to work I get in some more water. Then about 11:30, I'll have my first meal. Always 3.5 oz of dense Protein and 1.5 oz. of some kind of vegetable or vegetable blend. Wait 30 minutes and start on more water. About 3:00, I eat my second meal which is the same as the first. Protein and veggies. Same ratio. On the train ride home I have my second protein shake I prepared that morning. When I get home, exact same thing for dinner. If I want something extra, I just have another protein shake. I think that I'm very very blessed in that so far, nothing makes me sick except for eating too fast. Still working on that. And then it's just a bit of a nauseous feeling but goes away quickly. And the constipation. Yuck. I'm so sorry that some of you are still having such a hard time. I still sort of wait for the other shoe to drop but so far, so good. But I realize that anything can happen at any time. Hang in there October Warriors! This really is such a great group. Thanks for including me. Sherri

Hi Everyone! Still lots going on with my family. My daughter just had major surgery on Monday. She had part of her colon removed. Due to not eating right and a couple other things. The surgeon who specializes in Gastroenterologic surgeries told her to eat Paleo. Which thrilled me! I've been on to Paleo for 2 years. I just kept falling off the dinosaur! Now, with the surgery, I'm able to stay on track. I find it's getting easier and easier. I went to my NUT yesterday and she said I can now progress to "soft" foods for a couple weeks. FISH! Yay! I'm cooking steak and shrimp for my family for Christmas and I'll probably have a nice piece of salmon. Yum! I've lost 35.3 lbs since Oct. 21. I was hoping for 40 but I'm happy. I have squeezed into the next size smaller jeans. They're not tight but they fit. If that makes sense. Thank God for stretch jeans! About the flu...my sister is a health nurse in a high school and she was required to get the flu vaccine. A lot of good it did her! She's very sick now. I am wondering if anyone will be able to avoid it this year. I do get on here and read what you all are posting and I love hearing all of it. I guess for now I'm a lurker until some things quiet down. I'm strong and can handle it. It seems when I can sit down and read some posts, I'm pooped! Thanks to everyone for keeping up with this group. I hope you're all doing well and getting better and better! Hugs to all, Sherri

I'm up to about 2.7 oz. I need to get to 3. Should be at 4 by Christmas. That's what my nutritionist wants me to do. I go very slowly when increasing amounts. Our pouches do stretch but I was advised to increase slowly. Sometimes I look at my 2.7 oz. and wonder how the heck am I going to eat "all that food"! What a mind blower that is!
