    Gastric Sleeve Surgery in NYC

I was sleeved on June 30th by Dr. Holover from NY Bariatric Group on 28th Street in Manhattan. Website Stopobesityforlife.com. Welcome to the site and Good luck.
  2. It depends on the insurance. I have a $1000.00 copay for a hospital stay. I paid $150 the day of surgery so I received a bill for $850.00.

A few coworkers use the app and they love it. Thanks for the information. Good luck on your journey.

    Favorite in Puree?

I liked pureed baked chicken with cottage cheese. Good luck with this stage. Just know it will be over soon.
  5. Hi Trudy, I'm doing pretty good. I started the gym this week so I feel like I'm getting back to a normal schedule. I was out for three weeks so this is my second week back at work, surgery was June 30th. I came home (day #2) on soft and pureed food. I eat eggs, tuna fish, chicken salad, egg salad, pureed baked chicken, fish, turkey meatballs, turkey slices and yogurt. What's changed is the way my clothes fit and the amount of food I'm able/unable to eat. It's amazing to me how much I can eat. How are you feeling? Are you tolerating the soft/pureed food well? I work on Broadway, 2 blocks from City Hall. We work in the same area. I'm looking forward to sharing stories and possibly meeting up. Have a wonderful day and even better weekend.
  6. Hi @@truberry, Congratulations on your surgery. I had my surger 6/30. I live in the Bronx and work in lower Manhattan. I would like to chat about our experience and possibly meet up. I hope all is well. Chat with you soon. Take care.
  7. Hi, Very good post. I love it!!! Thanks for putting it together and most of all, thanks for sharing. That was very nice of you. Take care.
  8. The day after surgery (1 day post op) I was on pureed/soft foods. I never had a problem with any of the food I've eaten.
  9. Cut up your medication and start taking them again. If you don't feel like doing it yourself, have your husband cut them but please start your medication immediately. Afterall, they were prescribed to you for a reason. Good luck!!!

    Liquids

At least 64 oz of liquids including protein and popsicles.
  11. Congratulations. I am so happy for you and this is just the beginning. You will be in the single digits in no time. Keep up the good work!!! I was able to get into a size 14 on Saturday and just a few weeks ago, they wouldn't get past my thighs. Good for us!!!!

    surgery Aug 6th

I was on pureed and soft foods the day I left the hospital. I stocked up on eggs, chicken and broth to add to it while puree, tuna fish, cottage cheese, sf jello, pudding, sf popsicles and beans.
  13. I opened my capsules and I cut the other pills in half.
  14. It could be gas. Try chewable Gas X and walk around the house. If you're lying in bed shift and turn to get the gas out. Don't forget to walk every two hours, it helps with the gas as well as help prevent blood clots. I still get my walking in. I am almost two weeks post op and I still walk around my house. Today I walked around over two hours. Good luck and I hope you feel better.
  15. Tuna with yogurt in instead of FF Mayo. Interesting. I just put FF mayo on my shopping list. I have tuna and low carb plain yogurt so I might just add the yogut to the tuna fish. Thanks for sharing. I just purchased a few cookbooks. I'm waiting for them to arrive. I'll share some ideas as well. All ideas help.
