Gained 42 pound in 4 months
eating too much due to zero restriction plus eating stuff I never used to eg candy ice cream pastries carbs

I had a band fitted 5 years ago and was happy with the weight loss. For the last year I developed severe reflux , night cough, sliming. Etc. Surgeon reduced my fill by half and the symptoms disappeared immediately. BUT I’ve also gained a ton of weight in 2 months , feel no restriction and get severe bloating. Anyone else have this problem . Going to try a little fill ( after the holidays !!🤪)

May 10th for me. My surgeon says he only wants me to lose 3 to 5lbs a month and won't give me a fill. I was a little put out at first, but then I decided that it may take me longer to lose the weight but while I'm learning my new eating habits, the weight is off for good. I had the plication with my band and I think thats helping. I've lost a total of 34 lbs and 12 of that was preop. I guess if slow and steady wins the race, I should be toward the front.

I'm in exactly the same position and I get hungry quite soon after my meal dietician recommends slightly bigger portion size and snack in the afternoon on fruit

i made a choice that the onl y people who know about my band are my partner and my parents - i was real pissed off when she let slip to her parents about the band but thats done now - people at work have noticed a weight loss - i just say im eating less, moving more! - its becoming obvious that ive lost weight and i think its real amusing the who havnt SAID A word about it 0

ve've lost twenty pound since pre open diet started
I've now stalled and to be honest don't feel any effect whatsoever ever of having gastric band in. Will this change after a fill?

i mentioned drinking to my surgeon b 4 the band was fitted - he was non comittal but he did say that some people who drink to excess and end up puking can dislodge the band through the effort of being sik
