@creekimp13 I must be missing something. I've seen many food confessions. Most of us have been honest about bad days and food choices.
Some people have a fabulous metabolism. They can work a more moderate or slack program and still lose or maintain weight. Some have more risk factors for weight gain, They may have to follow a strict program.
Years out, I don't think anyone cares how I eat.

It's ok to distance relationships if they are not supportive.
You had a lap band years ago, right? Were people supportive then? Did you get your surgery date for the sleeve yet?
The only person that has to be happy with your medical decision is you. Don't waste you time or energy trying to educate someone who is against bariatrics.
I hope you don't feel ignored on this site. You have 26 posts. Give it time, post more and ask questions.

I weigh in the morning out of habit. It's a quick check to stay within my maintenance range. I have no need to log my weight. Life is normal the thrill is gone.

I don't have experience with hypothyroidism.
55 pounds is fantastic. Try not to compare your weight loss with other people. I know it hard, but it will drive you crazy. Many of us are slow losers'. Its no how fast you lose its the fact you are losing weight.
I hope someone can share their experience. Hang in there😊

It's almost as if people are different, go figure.
Different perspectives. Different motivations. Different concerns. Different measurements. Different goals. Different journeys.
If it works and we're happy then don't mess with success.

I hope you get your date in June.
One of the best gifts out of surgery was overcoming my stress eating. I now think of food as health and fuel. I was surprised that nutrition is still flavorful and delicious.😁
Energy, health, confidence, keeping up with the family, doing many things that my body could not do.

Healthy_life2 got a reaction from SoulGardener in Best exercise routines -100+ lbs weight loss?
Congrats on your gym membership. There is no secret to bariatric weight loss – Work your plan.
The best exercise is the activity you do consistently. Find something you enjoy. Each of us have a starting fitness level. (I was lucky to walk a half hour starting out) start slow and build up. Increase your pace, intensity, or resistance as you get stronger.
My experience: Sleeve 2014, age 45 lost over 100lbs in six months (not the norm) I would have been happy if it took me a year or more.
I was a true couch potato. I was not thrilled about exercise. My surgeon made his patients sign that they will add an hour of activity 5 to 6 days a week (mostly walking) I started walking and built up. My goal was to do a 5K for cancer in memory of my Mother. (she never got to see me fit and healthy)
Third month My weight stalled. I sold my treadmill and got a gym membership. Best decision ever. I mixed up different types of cardio. I ventured into the weight room. Muscle has helped fill out some loose skin.😉
Be open to where fitness may take you. I went from an obese couch potato to distance running (10K half and full marathon) hiking, kayaking, bicycling. Never take your health for granted.
