Had my surgery yesterday feeling pretty awful. Painful incision!! Not too gassy. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day

June 9 for me too, which is TOMORROW people!! I can't believe it's here! Nervous but so so excited to start this new chapter! Good luck everyone! Check in after when you feel up to it, hope everyone feels up to it real quick! Prayers we all have an easy painless, quick recovery.

I took mine a couple days ago too , surgery is tomorrow !! My pics are just gross. I carry most if my weight in my belly too - I can't wait to have after pics to put side by side!!!

Me too me too!! Tomorrow is my day, have to be at hospital at 9:00 surgery at 11:00. So nervous, and excited!! What are y'all bringing with you to the hospital ?? I've heard gas x strips are a must

I have a 13 year old and 10 year old. My 13 is a girl and she is very upset also. She too is overweight and I think that's why. She's getting better about it now. I go in On Monday , and I think she's accepting that this is what I'm doing. My 10 year old is a boy, and he's fine with it. I didn't go into as much detail with him. I just told him I'm having surgery for my belly. I think they both know that this will be a good thing for all of us. I told them we can do more bike rides together and jogging at the beach with the dogs etc. They liked that. Someone in here have me a good idea that I will pass along , tell your kids when you reach a certain goal that the family can be rewarded with a little get away or a day at the mall , something to make them feel part of the new adventure . I'm sorry to hear that! It's hard to not have a support system , luckily you have us! I know there's nothing you can do to change your decision, just try to come to peace with it. Have you talked to your doc about feeling sick ? Cuz that sounds like you should maybe see what's up with that. What's the positives you've had with the surgery ?

Wow, I too wonder at times if I'm doing the right thing. I will be sleeved Monday . I also am self pay. I have had people say to me , why don't you get a personal trainer nutritionist and therapist instead. I've been there and done that. I lose, and regain ... But, I am willing to jump through all the hoops to get to a goal I have had for 20+ years! To be thin. To be healthy . For life! Do you have people around you that have had the surgery ? I do, and they all have no regrets. I'm sorry you are feeling this way. I really hope you get to a point where you no longer have the regret you are having now. Just try to focus on why you made your decision. I can understand your feelings I have yet to get my sleeve, but it's human to wonder if such a drastic step is worth it! Best of luck to you! How long have you been out? I have 3 relatives that have had it done. They're all about a year or so out. And love it! Hope you get to that happy place soon...

I'm 38 I am married with 2 beautiful children, ages 9&13. I have lost and gained the same 40 pounds about a dozen times throughout my life. My sister in law , her sister, and her mom all had the sleeve done about a year and a half ago, I have yo yoed twice since then. That's why I chose to have the sleeve done. I can not wait until Monday. That is my day. I'm 5'6 and weigh in at 220. My heaviest ever was just last week before the pre op diet , 226. I hope I can lose another 5 pounds before surgery. I can not wait to be a more active, healthy wife, and mom. I really love my life, I have great friends around me, and I feel like I live my life to the fullest, but there are things in which my weight holds me back. Like boating, or beaching it. I end up reluctantly going.... But feel like crap! I need to change that! I'm so sick of my weight holding me back from doing what my family or friends are doing. So, here I go! 3 more days to the new and improved me! I will update y'all after Monday! Please wish me luck, send prayers! I'm nervous as sh*t! Lol

I am getting sleeved on Monday I have not told anyone at work - it's nobody's business !! But I work with a bunch of women and I know the questions will be asked constantly !! Two months ago I joined crossfit, and I have been watching for the past month as per my doc, I have lost 6 pounds ( not much I know) but at least I have a story and I'm sticking to it ! Ha! My bmi is also 35. I really don't think the average person would even consider that I had wls , I hope not! I just don't want to hear the cattiness of others- good luck to you!! And remember it's nobody's business -those two fat girls -in my opinion probably have no idea that you had surgery, they're just jealous that whatever your doing is working !!

@ jenuine629 I'm nervous , about complications , the EKG came back that I had a mild heart attack ! So now I'm Just freaking out! But still want this more than anything else . The doc reassured me that everything will be just fine. I guess it's normal to feel a bit freaked out, less than a week away now!

Had my pre op tests today, all went well, but me EKG reported that I may or may not have had a minor heart attack at some point in my life! Wow, I'm 38, pretty active, and healthy, other than being over weight. I met with the anesthesiologist and he said its fine, and sometimes is just a glitch on the EKG. But scared me anyway!
