  1. I'll be a month out October 8th, I have a group of friends I follow who also had surgery the same time as me and they are moving along great, walking, planning 5k's, getting their water in and protein. I had this expectation that I would want to start working out or at least walking and getting outside and have this great energy and drive when I had lost a good amount of weight and was feeling well enough. But here I am a month out almost and I've done NOTHING...Oh and water and protein drinks have kind of been pushed to the back burner, I have no interest in the protein drinks anymore and have been eating other protein in it's place. I just worry because I feel like I really have no drive to do anything, But maybe I'm just not giving myself enough credit I'm 25lbs down, I just started a new job working 36hours a week (starting at 6am) caring for a small infant that is very demanding and I also have my own 4 year old to care for and entertain at the same time..Not to mention my husband who doesn't help much at home, Though he does work full time and takes care of us financially so I can't complain too much. I don't feel like I've been overly tired or anything unusual but I just can't seem to get off the couch, Am I being Lazy or just missing my Energy?

Lack of Energy Or Just Lazy?

Thanks for the input everyone! I think it come's down to I really need to start paying more attention to my water/protein intake (like I was 3 weeks ago before work started) and push myself harder to go for a walk or the gym.

Lack of Energy Or Just Lazy?

@@Forsythia Oh I know all these thing's are truth, I did have a gym membership somewhere else that was a lot more relaxed and a bigger gym, So I could always find an area to sort of hide and workout. The one in town however is a very small local place and filled with Meat Heads and Health Buffs so It makes me a little leery.. My Anxiety get's the best of me, Fattest person at the gym or not it still exist.

Lack of Energy Or Just Lazy?

@@Forsythia Unfortunately there's no way for my to start later, I wish there was. I'm going to try to get all of my protein and water in this week and see if it makes me feel a little better. I guess maybe eventually I'll get into a routine of some sort and think about adding the gym in the evenings. I'll be honest, I've really been pushing that gym membership off because I'm intimidated by my local gym but they are the only one who offer any sort of child care. So I really just need to get up and go talk to someone, It's probably not as bad as my head's made it out to be.

Lack of Energy Or Just Lazy?

I feel fine otherwise, I mean I think I'm just being lazy but I'm also caring for 2 households a day and 2 children (3 if you count my husband). I've had day's where I reach 80g of protein and honestly I don't feel any different, I just want to sit on my butt and do nothing after doing everything. So maybe I just need to suck it up and push myself.

Lack of Energy Or Just Lazy?

I'm eating 6oz or so of chicken/turkey a day, I try having a glass of sugar free chocolate milk in the evening with my skim plus which has 11g of protein in it and half a thing of my protein shake which has 30g in it as well as 1 pocket protein which has 18g of protein.

Gawd. I obsess about food more now....

I'm the same way! I love cooking and planning meals, Always have guess I always will. My fridge and both freezers are packed full of food even though it's just me, My husband and 4yo daughter and yes I am guilty of wasting food.

I'm glad you're feeling better. I agree. The results are definitely worth the discomfort.

    Biotin

As I understand it Biotin is just going to make your hair grow faster not necessarily make it stronger, With that being said I've been taking 20,000Mg of it a day for about 2 months now and have noticed my nails and hair are growing quicker. I've heard that sometimes the higher amount of Biotin can mess with your skin and cause acne if you don't drink enough water with it, But that shouldn't be an issue for any of us and it hasn't been for me

@pink dahlia thanks for thinking about me. Thing's are going well getting better everyday!.

Well thankfully my father's family never has much of a relationship with me to begin with, so they won't be missed.

You are not alone on this one. My cousin basically reamed me because I called him out for only contacting my Dad when he needs money. He has been deleted from my life!

  12. Yes boxed sugar free is always an option and available. I wouldn't try sugar anything only a few day's out, there is always a risk of dumping from the sugar content.

    Isopure RTD

I was also told that all liquids count towards your fluid goals, Mine is 65oz a day and post-op I'm getting 70. 2 bottles of water, a cup of crystal light in the evening and 2 protein shakes.
  14. Sleeved 9/8/14 everything went fine, was drinking 65-70oz of water by day 3 and 80g of protein, I've lost 21lbs thus far (though my stomach has gained 3 inches since surgery not sure how)..The left side abdominal pain has subsided but in it's place middle stomach muscle pain near the bellybutton has taken it's place, I called my surgeon and the Dr on call just wrote it off as normal pain and I probably pulled something. So now I have lower left back pain as well and I'm wondering if I'm just going through normal post-surgical pain or something more?..I really have no other issues or symptoms that would make me think something was wrong. Did anyone else have anything similar post op?
  15. @@JCP is sensitive skin normal too?...My stomach below the bellybutton area is so sensitive to touch, I can even feel my t-shirt rub against it.
  16. @@JCP I wish my Surgeons office would have listened to me. I was sent home from the hospital with a weeks worth of pain pills only and when I called to tell them how much pain I was in the nurse practitioner told me they were not aloud to give me more pain meds and I must take Tylenol and use a heating pad for now on.
  17. @@gregthegroove I totally feel your pain, I've basically been crippled since last Saturday when this all started lol. I just started my new job today and let me tell you caring for a tiny 3 month old (who barely weighs anything) all day having to get down on the floor to entertain her and picking her up all day really wore me out!..Hope you feel better before your show!
  18. @@BitterSweet I don't think so, I've been going pretty well. Sometimes solid sometimes the opposite, it hurts to go but only due to my stomach and when I push it's dreadful.

  20. No...At almost 3 weeks out I was expecting it to but it hasn't at all..
  21. @codysmom I get asked that a lot, I guess it just comes down to everyone's different. I haven't had an issue getting liquids in, I do 3 bottles of water a day plus 2 protein shakes and 1 Pocket Protein. I also came out rounder then I was going in went from a 42inch waist to a 45inch.

  23. Started my new job today, Forgot how much work infants can be..Side is still bugging me, But doing a little better.

    Is this normal?

I know everyone loses weight in different way's and different places. I'm 2 weeks out this Monday and I've gained 2inches around my waste, Am I really still that swollen 2 weeks out?!..I've lost 2inches around my calves, Arms and thighs. I just think it's weird was wondering if any one else experienced this lol.

Am I eating enough to lose weight?

@@JamieLogical Just curious, How do you track how many calories your getting in? I have a hard time calculating the calorie intake I'm getting when it come's to the actual food I get in because I never finish anything. Last night I had a piece of chicken a little less the size of my hand and was 230cal for the whole thing, I only took half of that and cut it up but out of that half I was only able to eat half (so half of a half LOL). It's confusing.
