    No problems eating....

@@Thenewnic Yes. I had Steak a month or so out, Pork, Chicken, Fish, Lamb, Turkey. No issues. It's trial and error, Not everyone is going to have an issue with food but some do. Just take your time and find out what works for you.

    No problems eating....

I think for the most part a lot of us sit online Pre-Op reading all the information we can get our hands on and we see that there are people post-op who put up posts about not being able to tolorate certain foods and complications so we just assume at some point during our journy we'll have the same experience and when we don't it becomes worrisome. I myself am 3 months out -48lbs and I have had 0 foods that i've had issues with and I am also able to drink protein drinks and water just fine.

    Just sleeved 6 days ago

Thats normal, Liquids run through your tiny tummy quicker now.

    Should I?..Do I have to?

@@BeagleLover Thanks for that list.. I also went to a "Center Of Excellence" but from the way my surgery was handled and from what I hear from other's you would not know it. I was given surgery and that was about it, I mean yeah I had one nut appointment and she basically just sent me home with a book and that was it but it was just covering the first 3 weeks after surgery. I was never given a guideline of nutrition or what type of things needed to be looked at when it came to blood work later on. I guess I'll try calling my pcp and see if she'll be able to write me up a scrip to get blood work done.

    I've lost 45 pounds but.......

I know exactly what your going through, At 47lbs down It's hard for me to see the difference in my body though I can feel it in my clothes and have went from a size 18-16 myself in the past 3 months. Everyone around me tells me they can see it, but not me. Maybe taking a current body shot this month and then taking another one to compare it to in 3 months time will help you see how far you've come?

When did you try Steak again?

I had steak as soon as I was aloud solids, No I did not have to cut it to the size of my pinky nail, No I did not have to chew it to death (though I prefer it Rare), It did not get stuck in my chest, and I did not get sick. I've had it multiple time's since then. You can listen to everyone online and their experiences all day but sometime's I find it's just easier to try thing's on your own and finding out what works for you, Not everything that works for you is going to work for everyone else. Before surgery I heard a lot of people talk about getting sick off of Eggs and not being able to tolorate Pork anymore, If I had just assumed that my stomach and journy was the same as everyone else's I would not be enjoying pork chops tonight for dinner.

    Should I?..Do I have to?

@@LipstickLady Sound Advice. I mean not much changes for me month to month so I didn't see it necessary to have a 4 week/ 6 week visits and so on. I will make an appointment after this month when I have some more money sitting around. As for the support group I'll continue to get that here.
  11. HalloweenBaby24

    Should I?..Do I have to?

Well there's always an excuse for everything and some are legit like I work four day's a week and he only has office visits on Thursday, I can't take off I only make $250 a week and that's a little hard to budget with a family to help support. Everytime I visit with my Surgeon it's a 2min visit and I'm out the door with a bill. They never called me to schedual another appointment after my first one and I guess I would feel more obligated to go and spend my money if the Dr spent a little more time getting to know his patients. For the record I only saw the guy once before my surgery as well. I get a lot of my support online, And I've been on BP way before my surgery and here I am now.

    Hair

I am 3 months out as of today and Ive had some hair fall out here and there during brushing and washing (A little more then normal) but I'm not bald or anything crazy. My hair is a bit thinner when put in a hair tie I have noticed that, But it's always been thin, Since I was diagnosed with PCOS and started shedding before surgery I can't blame it all on the surgery alone. But since the begging of September I've been getting in 65g of protein and taking 20,000mg of Biotin, It might have helped.
  16. 3 months out as of today and down 44lbs. I've been losing slow but it's been steady. I'm Happy so far.

Pretty good. I was sleeved on Sept. 26th and lost 35lbs so far. Seems like there are more stalls than pounds lost sometimes.

    3. HalloweenBaby24

      HalloweenBaby24

@BeagleLover I feel ya on that note. I has mine on the 8th of September and probably have 2 good Stalls a month.

35lbs is good!, I was expecting the weight loss to be a little quicker but I'm not really disappointed either way.

  17. LOVE how i've lost 40lbs but some how I've only went down 1 jean size! :(

    1. Forsythia

      Forsythia

It's plus sized clothes. I dropped a ton of weight before I went down a size (I was a 26/28 in pants). In Misses sizes you drop sizes faster. It's not you. :)

    2. gowalking

      gowalking

Forsythia is right. I was also a 26/28 in pants and it took nearly 50 lbs. to go down one size. The smaller you get, the less time it will take to go down in sizes. I went from an 8P to 6P in jeans and lost less than 10 lbs. Just hang in there. It will happen soon enough.

  18. Have not been on here much lately, Life is moving pretty quickly.

@proudgrammy I've missed everyone here as well things have been really busy with work and life so I've had little time for focusing on food lol. My Birthday was good took my daughter out Trick-Or-Treating and spent the evening at home with some friends. My 2 months out just past on the 8th and I'm down 35lbs, Little less then I was hoping for but I'm happy regardless and I don't regret it. Hope thing's are well with you keep in touch.

Good for you, I can wait till I can start working out. I hope the ouches are from the work out and not from your new stomach.

    Chest Pain?

So recently thing's have been going well at a month out, The past few day's however I've been experiencing chest pains right in the middle of my chest on and off?..It's not bad enough where I'm doubled over in pain or anything but it's just enough to be uncomfortable and worrisome. Could this just be trapped gas or something more?..I have no other symptoms (No fever, tiredness, heart palpitations) I never have it right after I drink it's moments later, But sometimes it doesn't seem related to drinking or eating at all. Did anyone else experience this?
  22. A month and 2 weeks out -32lbs :)

  24. I have the day off tomorrow, Going to face my fears and go get a gym membership.

      Ava324

Joining my gym was the best thing I ever did! Pre-surgery I was a member at a big fitness club (pool, cafe, computer area, etc.) and I was real uncomfortable there. Too many times I'd go, get in gym clothes, buy a smoothie, hop on a computer for a bit and then leave. The small Anytime Fitness I'm at now is perfect. The trainers greet us all by name. Early in my membership I missed 10 days in a row and they actually called to check on me. Distance is a huge factor too! It's just 5 minutes from my house, where the big club was 10 and a few to find a parking spot. Just that little bit matters. Best wishes on finding a gym that work for you!!

    3. HalloweenBaby24

      HalloweenBaby24

@HealthyNewMe I was a member of PF for a year and loved it!, Sadly it's a bit far from me (15-20min drive) and don't offer childcare for my 4yo, regardless I won't have to bring her all the time but it's nice to have the option just in case my husband get's home late. @Ava324 I was able to join a local gym that is just around the corner from my home that offer's childcare and a small tight nit facility so I'm happy about it :) Hopefully

I can find the motivation to go.

Maybe you need to look at your combo of exercise, foods and beverages, and mix that up a bit. Stop beating yourself up and accept 26 is a good number. Congrats.
