  1. BCBS seems to be the best insurance to have. I'm hopeful UHC will bone through for me.
  2. # 9 Grammy where are you in your journey? if you don't mind me asking.
  3. # 9 Grammy, I'm hoping that the insurance will take all of this into consideration, they have to realize that t he scaled would not match up. The difference for each place is 5 lbs. Which for me is a lot. I don't want the insurance to think every other week I either drop or gain. So frustrating ! UGH!
  4. Hi Flygirl, I'm praying they do approve me and hopefully it's a quick approval. I did the 3 mo with my primary but then I did do 3 months with the surgeon because he required it. My only concern is that I went in to do my one on one with my nutritionist yesterday and I gained 4 lbs in 2 weeks. That was my first gain since I started in January. I was bummed but I knew I did bad. I just hope this doesn't effect my approval process. I don't like that the nutritionist and my surgeon and primary all weigh u on different scales so your weight fluctuates.
  5. Hey Flygirl, the 6 month will be over with before u know it. I have UHC MDIPA federal. Can't wait to get the approval so I can breathe. I am at 44 BMI and have 2 Co morbidity issues. I hope they don't give me a hard time.they said I can do 2 occurrences a month with my PCP for 3 months or 6 mo one visit a month. That's on a supervised diet and had to see a phycologist. I'm now at the end thank god but the paperwork doesn't go in till the 21st of this month. UGH! Has me nervous.
  6. I know everything will be great. Love to hear about your progress after surgery.
  7. Wow that's soon. It is both exciting and scary at the same time. Keep me informed how everything works out.
  8. My surgery is scheduled for August 20th. Once I get the approval from my insurance I think I will feel more at ease. The RN said she. Ant send it in till the 21st of july. I'm praying they will approve it. Please keep me in your prayers. I just found out that my diet before surgery is just no carbs. So happy I was worried about doing a liquid diet. All of you are also in my thoughts and prayers.

    Justing starting my sleeve journey

Georgia girl, I am 46 also happily married with 2 children a 26 year old girl and a 15 year old boy. My surgery is scheduled for August 20th. It seems that lately my husband has really been worried about me having the surgery and keeps telling me I can loose the wait on my own. Although he wasn't thrilled when I first told him he was very supportive. Just wondering how is your husband feeling the same anxiety?
  10. My surgery attentive date is August 20th. The nurse she would be sending in my paperwork around July 21s. I'm Nervous Because I See My Nutricionist Tomorrow And I've Gained 5 Lbs Since I Saw Her Last. I'm praying this will not b part of what is sent to the insurance. I have federal mdipa United Health care. Any advice or thoughts?
  11. I was wondering about hair loss. I see it seems to happen a lot and dr say it's due to rapid weightloss. Acampbell have you had any problems with hairloss? I bought some stuff from amazon which someone from utube who had the surgery suggested it. I'm hoping it will help.
  12. How about crabs? I love steamed crabs. Do u think that something that I could eat again in the future. I don't really care about any food but I do love ctabs. Lol
  13. Acampbell you look gteat! Seeing your pictures makes me excited to have my surgery which is August 20th. Blessed7 let me know how the 2 weeks of liquid works out... I'm still dreading it and will take you up on contacting you for support. I guess we can't take any sort of diet pill huh. Hopefully like you said if I keep my thought on the surgery I should be able to do it.
  14. Wow you are doing great. I have 120 lbs to lose. I'm praying that I will be as successful as you have been. You should throw some before and after pics up. I appreciate you answering my questions. How about your health. Did u have any Co morbidity going into the surgery that have improved. I currently have high blood pressure and sleep apnea.
  15. Acampbell are you getting Hunger pains if you don't eat enough? How much do you have to go to reach your goal weight? I have so much to lose that hearing about these stalls make me nervous. Sorry ask so.many questions. I'm Los 46 and am wondering about the excess skin. Since the weight is coming off slower do you feel that your skin is returning back to normal?
  16. Bookworm I'm glad to hear your surgery went well too. To be honest I don't care about his bedside manner as long as the surgery is great. Your do in no great losing weight too. Did you feel nausea after surgery and after you got home?
  17. Acampbell, your doing great then. I really am getting excited. I'm glad the surgery went well. I've been reading about how a lot of people run into the stall issue. I think changing your exercises every month may help. Are you able to lift weights now? The nausea I hear is common to and makes me a bit nervous. Have you thrown up all all due to certain foods?
  18. Acampbell, how was your recovery? How much weight have you lost if you don't mind me asking.
  19. We can have jello and all the vegetables we want so that's not too bad buts it gets hard when you're the one cooking everyday. I wish it was only a week of staying on that diet. 2 weeks I'd forever and I too like the shakes. Lol. I may take u up on your offer and send you messages while in away for support if you'll be upto it.
  20. I think the 2 week diet before the surgery will be hard for me because we are going on vacation again the week before. I know it's crazy. If you have any suggestions that will help me stay on it without cheating let me know. I am open to all and any suggestions.
  21. I hope so. I told Dr Gandsas I want to be one of the success stories. He said to remember that! : ) .. I've watched a lot of those utube videos and they said to bring chap stick and your pillow from home. I think I will also be bringing my I pod and kindle. If before or after your surgery you think of anything else be sure to let me know.
  22. I do love the protein drinks too. I like the pure protien chocolate tel he best so far. Once I get my approval through my health insurance I plane to but all the liquids I meet to last me for at least one week after surgery. On another We going to the ocean in a couple of weeks and I dread being this fat and wearing a bathing suit. It's just so sad.
  23. So exciting. How are you feeling about it? So you will have to give me details on how you feel after the surgery. Your surgery will be here before u know it. When I got the paperwork to initial it kinda freaked me out.what about you?
  24. Yes the coordinator did say she will take care of it. I with they could sent it in now but she said they can't sent it into the insurance until 30 days before the surgery. Please keep this in your prayers. I'm a true believer in the Power of prayer. And with that I'm not going to worry its all in God's hands.
  25. No that was an option but due to the cost I didn't want to do it. I do go to the gym on an average 5 days a week. But I do hear that the theapy is very helpful. When is your surgery? Mine has been scheduled for August 20th I'm so excited. I have to see Arranne July 8th and I have to have a anastasia test too which I schedule for the 25th of july. I'm just so nervous and can't wait to get my approval through my health insurance. That will be a big relief.
