    Any April Sleevers?

It has!! I think I just needed to do it once! I'm fine now!! I go into the store where I would have gotten a snack - candy bar or something - and I just think my goodness I ate a lot of crap!!!

I did this too with a cheeseburger. I just wanted to taste the flavor and I spit it out. Didn't consider it bad or a problem at the time but can understand how it could be. I also don't plan on that being a habit. At all.
  3. I didn't tell anyone at my job nor did I tell any family. My mom, dad, son know & a couple others bc they've had the surgery and were great for asking questions. They all know I'm not telling anyone so I hope they don't share. I went back to work today and felt like people were looking at me trying to figure out what I had surgery on. My friends and family don't even know I have been out of work 2 weeks! They know nothing! I figured eventually I may share but I didn't want the "you don't need to do that" comments, and feeling as though people are watching my every single move and checking every three minutes to see if I've lost weight. I made another Instagram account and searched the #vsginstacrew hashtag and found amazing support!!! It's like a whole 'nother world!!! I spend more time on that account than my "regular" one.

Yay!!! That's awesome! I have noticed my stomach is much louder than it used to be & I've seen other people say the same. Weirdest thing ever huh???!!!?

    Any April Sleevers?

I'm not getting all mine in right now. It is almost like virtually impossible. I have some bottled waters and I just try to gage from that what I have done. But it isn't 64 ounces. I'm hoping when I go back to work Tuesday I'll do better. Now between sleeping in and naps and whatever I'm just all messed up! Hours pass and I realize I haven't drank a thing!

My surgeon also does not use drains. I did have this ball thing with tubes in me while in the hospital but it had numbing meds in it and was taken out before I left. It is really weird how large the ranges are when it comes to different surgeons and the drain/no drain, extent of pre-op diets needed, and what people at after surgery - the stages, etc.

    Any April Sleevers?

I'm 11 days out. I don't get all my water or protein in! ;( I hear you on it being hard to go slowly that being said, I end up going a long time without drinking anything. I can't stand the shakes so I'm having a hard time getting in protein. I just keep trying to do better.

Glad things are going well for you. It is kind of weird I still have to remind myself that I've already done it now!! It's really weird!!!! Good luck and speedy recovery!!
  11. My dr told me I could do Cream of Wheat but I'd much rather do grits!!! I think I may try them slowly here in the next few days. Next week I plan to do some quiches! I'm getting excited just thinking about it!!!!! I know once we can move to that next food level we'll feel much much better!!!!
  12. Confession: I just ate an egg!!!! Like Tammy said chewed it up extra good and it went down no problem!!!!!
  13. I should dust off my Wii Fit as well. I've been wanting the Zumba game for a while, may have to get it. And yes!!!! I would give my right arm to have an egg right now!!!!!! I have about 5 more days before I can technically have one according to the manual they gave. Once the 30th comes I'll definitely be having eggs!!!!
  14. Yolicious1 - I'm doing much better now! Haven't had a rough time since. Not getting in much Protein but I'm sure once I get to the next phase next week when I can eat eggs etc I'll be able to do much better. How are you? How much walking/water are you getting in?

    Any April Sleevers?

I was sleeved on 4.15.14 so I'm 9 days post op! The second day was the hardest for me as my pain pump and I weren't getting along. I was having a bit of a reaction (flushed & nauseous) but once we figured that out it got better. I stayed 2 nights and then came home. Since being home, I feel great, no major complaints. Pain has been bearable. The only things I'm having a hard time with is getting in as much liquid as possible and getting in Protein. I'm doing worse on protein than I am liquids. So I've got to figure that out. I do feel I'm able to "eat" and drink more fluids than I was last week but I can't stand the shakes and stuff so I'm trying to figure out how to get in the protein. Any tips are welcomed!!! There isn't much protein in broth!!!! I'm able to do full liquids and thin purées now so I've gotten some unflavored protein and will try that out. I went up about 9 lbs due to fluids but based on the scale the morning I arrived I am down 11.6 lbs and based on the scale when I came home (w additional fluids) I am down 20.6 lbs!!!
