    1. Having the energy to chase after my kids!
    2. Smaller clothes. Going shopping with friends and family members has always made me uncomfortable, because none of the clothes would fit me. I was just along for the show! I want to be able to wear those clothes, own those clothes, and be freakin amazing in those clothes!!!
    3. Not having to squeeze myself into my jeans, because I refuse to buy the next size up!
    4. Riding rides and not having to have someone come by and help me to latch the harness, and being terrified the whole time that the seat belt will break loose and I will fall to my doom!
    5. Two piece bathing suit! I want to be able to wear a two piece bathing suit and be comfortable and feel attractive!
Those are just a few... I could probably go on and on!!!

Oh my gosh! I just finished showering and getting ready for work. One of the top three things I can't wait for is to be able to get ready to go somewhere and not be all sweaty before I even get out the door!

There's so many things I am looking forward to post op. Dancing with my niece country line dancing. Going on a cruise with my hubby. Shopping for little cute clothes. Walking around in shorts and not being ashamed or embarrassed of my legs and arms and the rest of my body. Not being the one fat person in the room. I want to be little again so bad. And active. And healthy. And not shy away from photos.

    Thing's I'm looking Forward To Post-Op..
    1. Wearing smaller clothes...My small goal for right now is to wear size 14 which I haven't seen since I was 11years old.
I don't know what it's like to not wear sweater's and jeans in the summer.
    2. Summer activities...I skipped out on the Fire Fly music festival out here for the past 2 year's because I can't imagine being over 200lbs and being comfortable for 3day's out in the heat. All I can think of is all the sweat, smells and chaffing.
    3. Amusement Park!... Regardless I've never been too big to not fit on the rides, but I've been damn near close which was embarrassing as hell.
    4. Belly Button Piercing...Ok this one is rather silly, But I was the fat kid in school (I know, Shocker..) and back then the cool thing to do was get you're belly button pierced, Not that I'm cool or anything but to have a belly button piercing and to be comfortable enough to show my belly will be a big deal for me.
    5. Not being as Hot...I'm always so bloody hot, I sweat like a pig it's ridiculous.

When I was a little girl in England, watching all the cowboy shows on TV, I longed to be a cowgirl and ride the range. For my birthday next May when I'll be 10 months post-op I'm going on a group trail ride. I'll be up in the saddle!
(No experience needed, btw; the trail ride horses are trained to be idiot-proof.)
My husband bought me a little plastic horse that I'll take to the hospital with me in August - my symbol of everything I have to look forward to.

Oh don't say that! I wore a size 12 in middle school so I am figuring size 8 is "safe!" I literally just practically skipped size 10 so I treated myself and bought the most expensive pair of jeans I have ever owned yesterday to Celebrate being in single digits! I don't want to think about shrinking out of them... Ok well maybe I do... But not yet, LOL!

Haha Stevie.. The damn BRA! Same here.. I'm 10 weeks out and down almost 50lbs. One thing that frustrates me at the moment is clothes ! It's a good thing I know. I've already got rid of all my 26 tops and 24 bottoms. All my summer stuff in storage doesn't fit. I feel like I'm changing sizes every 2 weeks.. Seems I'm losing inches more than lbs. I'm in a 16 now and that's 10 weeks ! Holy crap. I can't wait until I hit goal and fill my closets with nice new SMALL clothing !!

Well, I am looking forward to all of those things as posted above, but right now, being the summer temps here are always 90 and higher, I am REALLY looking forward to getting rid of this enormous, hot, miserable, twisted, tight, size 46DDD BRA!!!!

I told my supervisor , the only one I personally have to address but when the weight start coming off the rumors will start . I have given this a lot of thought and if someone asks I'm going to tell them. Why should I be ashamed, I tried diets and exercise but I am still (as my dr has written) morbidly obese. I'm doing this for my health not because I want to wear a bikini, would anyone look down on someone if they had their gall bladder or appendix taken out, or having chemo. I'm doing this to prolong my life. So the hell with anyone telling me I took the easy way out..sorry had to vent

Totally safe for US!! And I can't even eat one serving...
2 boxes of sugar free fat free instant Jello pudding:
    1 box cheesecake flavor
    1 box chocolate flavor
2 lbs fat free plain Greek yogurt
1 graham cracker crust (8 mini-crusts have more calories each but are good for quick servings)
Mix pudding powders into yogurt... It's THICK!!! Mix well!!
Spread into crust. Chill overnight. You CAN eat it right away but it's muuuuch better if you've let it sit a few hours.

I know how everyone feels. It is hard to look at yourself in the mirror and not see the person that you know you could be. It won't be long now, and that person staring us back in the mirror will be the one that we always knew was hiding inside! It's just amazing to think that in just a few weeks, we will all be saying goodbye to these unhappy women and starting a new happy relationship with ourselves. Good luck to all!

My first dining out experience. A friend came from out of town and we went to Gino's pizza "Chicago's deep dish". Wellllll. Lol. I couldn't drink the tab beer. Tasted nasty to me, I wasn't happy w that. appetizers came, breaded spinach sticks, I love those so I had two. Then the pizza came and I couldn't eat it. ???? I was full w the two bread sticks. So I sat there feeling awkward as my friends ate. And I ended up telling them about the surgery (which I wasn't planning to) because they were already asking why I wasn't eating. Next time no appetizers for me. I wasn't planning to eat the whole slice but at least I wanted to eat some. And I definitely wanted a beer but I guess my new tummy didn't and u have to listen to it. I did feel good in my clothes though. I guess I'm a cheap date now lol.

I know all too well what you mean. I am the General Manager of a Gap... Not only do I walk by mirrors all day long, I can no longer fit into the clothes. And the ones that I do wear cut off my circulation. I swear I have permanent indentations around my belly from "too tight" jeans!

Yayyyy it's really getting close! I caught my reflection in the mirror walking through the store today and cringed. I wanted to cry. If I had any doubts at all they're gone now.

I have a July 22nd surgery date! I am ready to roll & start my pre-op diet on the 7th.
The only struggle I am having right now is that I find myself eating any darn thing I want...especially since I know that in 24 days EVERYTHING as I know it will change.
I really wanted to try and lose some of the weight before the pre-op even started, but (as usual) food & hunger are winning that game. In a way, I almost wish it was a requirement to do more than 2 weeks of pre-op. (I know...bite my tongue!)
Anyway... Very soon I will be kicking hungers a$$ all over the place! And so will YOU!

Dulce_jtrivera got a reaction from NothingUpMySleeve in Worried about how to keep kids from getting fat.
This is also one of my biggest concerns. I have three children, my son is 2 1/2 and my daughters(twins) are 15 months. Since I have started doing research on wls, our household's eating habits have changed drastically. Where there used to be chips and Cookies, now there are fresh fruit, vegies, low fat string cheese and yogurts. I have not cut out their Snacks, just made them healthy choices.
I am now cooking 95% of the meals that we eat and once a month we go to a sit down restaurant and we all order the healthy choices that are on the menu. My children mean the world to me and I do not want them to go through the struggle of being obese.
I am the only one in my family that is obese. All of my adult life and most of my childhood I have been told to lose weight, go on a diet, be better at being me. I do not want this for my kids. Now when someone asks me if my family is dieting (mostly when I am grocery shopping), I tell them no, this is our lifestyle. Hopefully, I can project this new me onto my children and they will make better, healthier choices.

Are the weirdest and best words to hear from a complete stranger! Today while shopping, I asked a sales woman for help finding one size, but she was convinced I would where a smaller size. "You're so tiny!" She said as she got out her measuring tape. This was also not an average sized woman either! She was a twig in her 20's. I was shocked and she was right. I needed a size smaller...
I've had a lot of fabulous NSVs lately :-) which is nice bc I seem to be stalled...

Hey show him this video and see if all the pop is worth it.
And after you watch this video be glad that you have made a choice to eat healthier and look after your body and let him do what he is going to do..okay..This is about you changing not him. It would be wonderful if he supported you but he has his own reasons to try to sabotage you..Maybe he is afraid that you will become too gorgeous for him to keep as a mate and he is comfortable with the person he sees in front of him..Sad but true..Our mates can go completely nuts on us with the fear that we may no longer want them if we are thin....
This ought to cure anyone from drinking soda pop, cokes etc... . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZp29Qeu8_U

Sorry for not posting more often. Trying to get my son to let me use his computer is not an easy task lol. Well I am back to doing exercises and with a vengeance...I'm doing an hour on the treadmill almost daily now. Between running and walking. On the days I'm too tired I do 30minutes. and I don't skip two days in a row without exercise. It has made a difference. The scale is now at 215 however the clothes feel a lot looser. For some reason I'm afraid to eat regular foods like chicken etc.. I'm still kind of eating soft foods or stuff I can chew and make it soft. I'm fine with this for now. I'm hating that some of my coworkers watch everything I put in my mouth, all of a sudden they've become experts on what I should eat and shouldn't eat, they watch what I eat all the time and ask how much have I lost all the time. So I tell them I can eat whatever I want just not as much as I used to and that I don't weight myself anymore daily which is the truth. I still have some of my "skinny clothes" that I never got rid of. Lots of jeans and cute shirts so I have been trying them. The jeans come up my hips now but I still can't zip them up but Im getting there. I made a mini goal to be in onederland by my birthday at the end of July. I'm feeling good about myself again. Make up is back out...and Im paying more attention to myself. I love my sleeve, I do not regret this one bit. My scars are red and I don't like them much but they are small. I need to find me a cream or something that can make them fade a little. Any suggestions? Well guys this is it for now. xoxoxox
