  1. So I am 6 months out. I walk 3-5miles a day, total gym a couple days a week. The scale seems to have just stopped. I measure as well, and it seems like the fat shifts around. Do u have to work harder at losing after 6 months post op. I had the sleeve April 14, and down 97 lbs
  2. Thank u for sharing...I am so excited to be telling my story of success!!!

    Any April Sleevers?

I totally understand the self pay thing. I too paid 20 for my bananna...I watch the show my 600 lb life and that keeps me on track. It's weird how at times u feel no different. I try to visualize what my thinner body will look and feel like. Things are already getting easier. For example breathing, moving and sex is way better.

    Any April Sleevers?

I agree. I just keep trying to get h2o in. I'm almost 4 wks out. All of a sudden when I eat and I get full I get horrible gas pains in my shoulder. I'm still getting a bit of pain on left side where they removed stomach. It kind of feels like a burning in my muscle. And I have hit a plate at 34 lbs

    Any April Sleevers?

My Dr. Said I can chew sugar free gum but limit it to 2-3 times a day...No straws for me either. That's a killer. I'm 3 wks postoperative and I find it difficult to get water in too.. as for staples being removed I had mine removed 48 hrs after surgery. I didn't think it was that big of a deal. I was surprised they removed them in 48 hrs. But doc said if not the skin grows over them and that can be uncomfortable. .. good luck everyone!! Everyday gets better...just walk walk walk

    Any April Sleevers?

I'm a week post op.. and I am praying for all of you for a speedy recovery. And for successful surgeries. In 3 weeks I am down 31.2 lbs. My best advice is to have faith that God has you right where u need to be. Going into surgery with a positive attitude will aid in recovery. The things I worried about preoperatively didn't even happen. Ice chips were like gold until I did the swallow test. Which I made it through without it coming up. Just remember walk walk walk and listen to your body. The pain and discomfort will end and every day you are closer to your new life"!!!!!!

    3 Days post op

My Dr. said it will hold about 4oz at a time. So now on day 7 I ate like 3oz of Protein, very slowly. i try not to take big gulps of my drinks either.. They pulled my stomach out on the left and holy shit does that one hurt!!!! It will get better every day! . You can hardly feel restriction on Clear liquids. I tried tomato Soup and after 3 bites I felt full, burped so I was def full.

    3 Days post op

Little sips I think is the key and walking is the best. I totally agree switch things up.. tazo makes some great caffeine free teas too.I am not sure when it stops, i am day 7 post op and I still get those gas bubbles/pressure in my chest
  11. Any ideas for protein foods? That don't have to be pureed. I've been living on cottage cheese and scrambled eggs
  12. My only issues have been with gas and getting up and down hurts the most. But once up the walking is just what the Dr ordered!!! Yesterday I ate 1 oz cottage cheese, 2 sugar free popsicles 1/2 jello and another oz of cottage cheese. Today I was able to eat half a scrammbled egg with about 1 T shredded cheese. That was yummy!!! I have ABSOLUTELY NO appetite, but I know I have to get the protein in or my body will stall. Good Luck to all you sleevers anticpating surgery. You got this!!
  13. I am so ready for this surgery. I am down 19.2 lbs during pre op. I am so thankful that I found this site. Everyone has been so supportive and informative. Prayers to al you 4-14-14 sleevers!!! We've got this!!! Just remember pain ends and we are starting a New Chapter in our Lives!!! God Bless you all. I am surprised that I am not having any issues with anxiety or nerves. What that tells me is I am right where I belong....
