    Has anyone tried these http://www.flatoutbread.com/products/flatout-wraps/flatout-light/?
The nutrition doesn't look terrible on the light or the Protein one. Just wondering. They look big, so I am assuming I wouldn't be able to eat a whole one one I put meat and such.

Good morning. Reporting in. Just finished 2 weeks of the 3 Protein Shakes, 2 Protein Bars and 1 meal of Protein and veg a day. Down 8 pounds and back to my lowest weight since surgery.... Hopefully this will jump start that plateau I've been on since Aug

PinkPolkadot619 reacted to James Marusek in Questions and concerns on malabsorption
I am 32 months post-op RNY gastric bypass surgery. Before surgery, I had severe acid reflux (GERD) along with a number of other medical conditions such as high blood pressure and diabetes. These conditions went into remission within days after surgery and remained there.
If you have GERD, bypass surgery is generally the recommended approach. If you have the sleeve with this condition it can make the condition worse. Several individuals on this board had sleeve and because of GERD had to have a revision to RNY gastric bypass.
I do not find that the malabsorption issue is a problem. I take a lot more Vitamins now after surgery but their cost is offset by the fact that I am no longer buying prescription medicine for my other conditions that went into remission. I think it may in all likelihood be the exact opposite. After surgery, they periodically require a complete blood workup. This nails any malabsorption issues. The Vitamin regiment is modified after these tests to correct any malabsorption issues. So my body is probably better tweeked than before surgery.

I am sorry but that seems much to early to be eating meat. Most people I know say 6 months for chicken. And honestly the first 3 months it is fine to get your Protein from shakes if meat does not work. Do not force it, it is rejecting it for a reason. There are so many options to get you through the first 6 months. there is no reason that you NEED meat, yes you NEED protein but it does not have to be from meat.

I think at some point everyone loses there mind a little. I know I did in August. All the attention I was receiving was over whelming. I made some bad decisions & put my marriage at risk. I do want to live life to the fullest but with confidence & power that comes from inside me. The outside is only for show it doesn't bring you the love you want & need by the people who really love you. I am glad that I am back to me. Have a great day everyone!

one of the best things I have been doing for myself is staying in touch with what happens in this group! I used to not press the "notify me" button, but now when somebody posts I o ow it!! when I have time, I read it. Just this simple task helps me stay in the game. It is such a simple thing. Now that I'm a normal-weight person, where there is not even a hint of diabetes, I tend to want to forget. So that's it for today. I e been to the pool for 90 minutes and had my fave yogurt breakfast with an orange and bluebies. Also cinnamon and nutmeg. I just don't know about lunch. keep your courage.

    Nice job Beni!!
I had my Subway flatbread for breakfast
Was on the run for lunch time--so I grabbed Noodles & Company 420 calories, but I ate about 3/4 of it, so not quite the whole 420...
    Raw carrots for snack
dinner will be on the run also...wrestling meet tonight.
People have told me my face is too thin, but I think it's alright. I do feel like the dark circles under my eyes are worse than they used to be. But I am prone to them anyway. :-(
My biggest "too skinny" issue is my dang armpits! It's SO flipping hard to shave them now! they're too deep or something. Does that make sense to anyone? LOL...so silly.
I need to do some major rear end lifting exercises too, wowzers.
I'm like you though....hate to be picky, but.....

Status of my 3 day liquid (ish) diet... It has been fairly easy so far.... Protein Shake for breakfast. The weight watcher veg Soup w chicken and white Beans for lunch and dinner. Snacks included yogurt, herbal teas and I needed a Protein Bar yesterday afternoon before a big meeting. But all in all, it has been a success and has helped with some of the bloating from holiday eating. Tomorrow I'll integrate other Protein. But so far, doing good without carbs (ie bread).

as soon as I stopped using myfitness pal religiously is when junk started sneaking in and then becoming more and more.
Yes I agree we need accountability!! I am completely down to do a 3 day challenge. I know I need to rid my diet of the extra sugar. I hate feeling controlled by it again!!

Counseling REALLY helps me!! I am definitely a self sabotage! But I've gotten SO much better with counseling.
We have all come SO far. I just love you all and all of the support here. I know we can do this friends!
I have not worked out in over a month! I am making a promise to you all that I will get back at it. I seem to have lots of excuses, and some truly are legit.
I started college (on break now), work full time, and our 2 15 year old boys are in wrestling and basketball, so most evenings are FULL with games/ meets and homework. Jan. 11th I start classes again, and I'm taking one more than I did last semester.
But I know I need to be doing "something." I will have an hour between a couple classes this next semester and I have free access to an amazing gym at school, so I plan on at least walking during that time!
By the way, I got a 4.0 my first semester!! Yay!

It is amazing what the holidays will do to us. When thanksgiving came around it was like an alarm went off in my head saying "ready, set, eat." Just not fair. I've eaten a few Cookies that someone brought to my house. If my stomach gets weird, I either drink peppermint tea or chew mint gum. I think I should just let myself suffer. My new stomach is still sensitive. I'm grateful that it really won't let me eat much. On Christmas I had steak and roasted veggies. An hour later I had half a baked potato with some butter. That was my planned indulgence. I'm so grateful that I haven't had a drink of alcohol since before my surgery. I had my annual Christmas party that I've been throwing for ten years. The same people every year. They all know the whole story and don't even try to entice me (for the most part). I am still using my fitness pal. At least I start out that way each day. My weight has been stuck at 172-175 for months. My PA says that is normal for my AGE. I don't like weighing that, which is so silly. But wouldn't 160 be "sexier?" I'm a nut!! happy holiday everyone.

Oh no, my scale is up 3 lbs. Yes, the holidays have been hard. I keep stealing treats all day long. One or two bites at a time but I have eaten a box of chocolate pretty much by myself. I have to get this under control or I am going to lose this war. Three pounds is not the end of the world but the slippery slope is here. We all have seen fluctuations but we still have to watch. Nothing is forever without work. The new year will bring some much needed stability form the holiday craziness. I need to workout again and focus on overall health. We are going to need to "be good" but I fear the cold depressing months of January and February. I get depressed at this time of year and in the past always gained weight during these months.
I am glad you are all going through the same struggle. Misery does like company, right? But all joking aside our struggle is within the norm and knowing that provides much needed support. Knowing you are all going through this is such a comfort to me.
Did I mention lately, I love you all. Well, its true.
