    I have switched to spaghetti squash for Pasta and I told my household we are not going back. My BF is a marathon runner and he gets plenty of carbs from veggies and things. the Pasta and rice is just not needed, WLS person or not. I do not understand why doctors would recommend going back on carbs, knowing for many of us they are addictive and really our body does not need refined sugar or flour.

    Had my 3 month check up this morning... all vital signs are excellent! And, I am officially down 71 pounds since August! (42 since surgery). I am very happy. Nutritionist said I could start eating Pasta and breads... but, I am going to try and hold off a bit because I LOVE PASTA!!! I actually don't mind the Barilla Plus High Protein pasta....
    And, Beni, I too have a nice pair of healed boots. I will have to be vogue like you and wear them with a nightshirt! I am very tall, so, I don't need the heals. But, it sure does feel good to not worry that you are going to break them - I can relate @Pinkpolkadot69!

    I had 63 pairs of shoes!! most all of them are too big now :-( I am so sad, and broke so I keep trying to wear them, and yes I have about killed myself a few times.

    I am four weeks out and the last couple of days to a week whenever I stand up my vision wants to black out and I get really lightheaded. It really sucks cause I want to walk, but can't. Anyone else having this problem????

    im happy to see everyone moving along smoothly. I'm proud to say eating is becoming easier as is exercising for me. I'm having more digestion issues than I'd like but that's what gas x is for I suppose lol. It doesn't even compare to the ibs crap I dealt with before surgery. Thought I'd post a pic from month 2 compared to month 4 - I'm the weight I was when I met my husband 10 years ago so it's a celebration moment for sure. I'm thinking I have 40 more to get to goal. Disregard the no makeup and thinning hairstyle I'm sporting these days - one day that will align with how I feel. Happy losing everyone !!!

    I love this group. Although I am a Nov Sleever, I often peak in to see how you are all doing... you have such a positive vibe and I love your stories! And, since you are a month ahead of me, it helps me see what my future will bring! Congrats to everyone!
    I've started playing this very cool sport called "Pickleball"... google it! It is a combination of tennis, badminton and Ping-Pong. It's lots of fun. Besides actually PLAYING a sport again, I had a NSV yesterday. It didn't even hit me until I got home. While playing, one of my sneakers got untied. I bent over. Tied the laces. Then, continued to play pickleball. And, because I could tie them without sitting down and pulling my leg up, the bows were perfectly centered! It's those little things!

    So I had a wonderful 4 day weekend getaway with my boyfriend. We stayed at a bed and Breakfast for two nights and then 1 night in a hotel near the hot springs day spa we went to the next day. I did okay but really beat myself up!! Yes I ate things I shouldn't, not in excess but I did. I had some very small chocolate covered strawberries and did fine. But the. I ate more of them and not so small and made myself sick!! Right when it was time for me to put on my new cute sexy stuff.... I was sooo sick but I played it off pretty well. :-/ I was really hard on myself but then my bf told me to enjoy myself and I can get back at it on Tuesday.
    So today I focused on my Protein shakes and not drinking to fast. Then my meals I really focused on eating slow, I got full on one piece of string cheese!! This really made me realize how important it is that I need to focus on how I'm eating. I lost 3 pounds last week and only .9 pounds this week. But I lost and it's not to late to go back to the basics and get to know my pouch again. I think I was just so excited I could eat a good variety of food, I lost control.

    Onderland, HURRAY!
    I could hardly believe my scale this morning. I have a digital scale, it reads 000.0 and I have been 201.X for a little while. Since I forgot to weigh myself yesterday, there was a chance but I certainly wasn't counting on it. I seem to yoyo a lot from day to day. I step on the scale and it was 200 even. I was like you are freaking kidding me. I have never gotten an even number. Within a split second it was 199.9. My scale listens to me, lol. I tried two other times and it was still 199.9. I can't help but Celebrate. I made it to onderland by a hair. The story of my life!
    Lost 70 pounds and I am not even 4 months post WLS. That's a miracle. I was expecting this a year after surgery.

    Yes and no, we should not be consuming foods that are too sweet or high in fat, so powering through is not a good idea, I know I'm sick of plain foods but I am not trying to power through so my pouch is like it used to be before surgery, we must learn to live without sugar and high fats. We don't want to and defeat the surgery and force our bodies back to where we started.

    That's good and all but also the importance of Protein can't be stressed enough. If your not getting enough from food, supplement
