@Shadow427---That sounds wonderful!! A week on Cape Cod!! You got in some great activity!!!
@misstvb--It's hard to not pay attention to that number on the scale, but glad you're seeing that your body is changing for the good!! I've been measuring myself about once a month too, so that helps to be able to see those numbers changing. Keep up the good work!
@Beni--It truly is amazing how much those pounds brought us down before. Like you said, literally sucked the life out of us. Our UPS guy at work is just beside himself with my transformation, LOL. He's lost a good amount of weight too and said, "Isn't it crazy to think you carried those 80 some pounds around for all that time!?" It truly is...no wonder we were tired!!
I also love how my arms look while they're down! LOL--but boy, lift them up and it's scary!! I never thought I'd care about that, but I admit, it really does bother me. I'd like to wear sleeveless dresses, blouses, etc. And who knows--maybe I'll wear them anyway, and just work at keeping my arms down!
I was at my 9yr old's talent show yesterday and I kept clapping with my arms tight to my sides, LOL!! She did SO good! Most of the kids did musical stuff, but Hannah shoots archery. (not for kill) All 4 of my kids shoot actually--that's the ONE thing their Dad does with them. So he brought this thing he has rigged up where there's ping pong balls "floating." She hit 3 out of 4 and shot right through 2 of those.
We had to get special permission from the principal and school administration ahead of time since her bow is a "weapon." They sent me a letter with the strict rules on her being allowed to bring it, etc. Hannah's Dad had to bring it into the school and had to stay right by her when she shot it, etc. Silly, but I guess now a days, it's something they have to think about, sadly.
But the principal was just beside himself with how well she shoots, LOL.
    Anyway--sorry---Mom brag moment there.

I am going to check and see if they have this available in Decaf. I currently use Click brand and it comes in decaf, but only 15 g of Protein. Yours is better option if it comes in decaf. I find my tummy does not tolerate caffeine anymore. Get to jittery!

@@amylynns My arms are jiggly too and I can't seem to lose in my thighs very well. Major stubborn area. Calves too. Ughhhh!
NSV: I went on a ropes and zip line course the other day and I was so proud and happy with myself that I did it! Taking those leaps of faith into thin air at 30 to 40 feet would NOT have been possible just 6 months ago and although my arms were a little shaky afterward from that and climbing up cargo nets, I have only a little soreness in my muscles. Pleasantly surprised! Before, I would have been out of breath after the first course and worried about the weight limit and if the cable would hold me.

I'm telling you the truth.... If you can buckle down and follow all the rules, you'll get there. And getting slimmer is so much more rewarding than eating just another slice of..... whatever. There's no food I craved half as much as I craved the weight loss. And the on-scale and non-scale victories sustained me. I set TONS of mini goals, so I was hitting new milestones every few weeks (and sometimes days). Like, every 5 pounds down, every 10 pounds down, every round number on the scale, and even every 5 pounds less to goal, every 10 pounds less to goal, 1/10th of the way there, 1/4, 1/3, 1/2, 2/3, 3/4, every pants size, every shirt size, every belt notch, every extra 5 minutes walked, every additional day of exercise in a row or in a week, every additional 100 steps on my Fitbit, every holiday/event that I controlled myself. I knew that it was totally ridiculous!!! But it made it a game of it, and it was great fun to be achieving those goals all the time. Good luck and try to have fun with this!

    Howdy, folks.
I've been out of pocket traveling for work and then an "aging parent" crisis. I'm doing fine. I'm down 121 pounds, 53 pounds since the surgery on 10/27. I'm wearing a size 12-14, which I haven't done since 7th grade. I don't have a weight goal because I've never been this small before. Just waiting to see where the weight settles. Honestly, if I don't lose another pound, I'm gonna be happy anyway.
I eat between 1000-1400 calories a day, depending on activity level. At my 6-month checkup, the doctor said we have to wait a bit longer to get rid of the hernias (Oscar, Ernie and Bert), so I'm still severely restricted on exercise.
And we're walking... and we're walking...
I (unfortunately? fortunately?) have no dumping syndrome at all, so I can pretty much eat anything I want - not always a good thing. It's okay, though, because as you can see from the stats, I'd lost 68 pounds before the surgery. The pouch keeps me from overeating and will help me from gaining back, which has been my problem in the past.
So I guess that catches you all up! I hope I'll be able to check in more frequently for the next couple of weeks.

    Peace,
    Glenda
Here's me and my WONDERFUL boss at the conference in April.

Here's my before picture (303 lbs).

I eat about a cup of food too. If I eat too much less then I am just hungry an hour later and end up eating things I shouldn't. I am good at keeping at about a cup or less, but also need to work really hard on my snacking and eating little bites here and there. I know that is how things slip up and things start to come back.....and that I a huge huge fear.
I have not had children yet and I want to have the best habits, and health before I do try and get pregnant. (no not any time too soon) But I know this is the time to correct myself and make new normals.

Well my boyfriend was right as soon as we got home and I got back in to my routine for a few days and did mostly shakes I lost the weight from our trip and more.
Then today we went hiking and I only made it a little over a mile up and was DONE. I think it's because I had a shake and not a real food Breakfast. But I got super weak and sick. He hugged me and told me we should just go back to be safe. I cried because I felt like I had failed or let him down. He of course reassured me that was not the case but it was hard. I made it back to the car but just barely, now that we are home and I am nibbling at real food I am starting to feel better.

I looked at all the different formulas (that say I should weight like 130 and 135, BMI says between 111.2-150.2. My doctor said 140, but I know my scale is always different than the doctors (partly because I am not naked at the doctors office) So I figured 137 was a nice number and then maybe at my doctors office I will actually be what he said I should be....and I like the number 7 more than a zero... yes this was actually my thought process.

Thank you. I know I have to keep looking at my pictures to remind myself how far I have come. I was on my period while we were gone too so maybe that has something to do with it. My bf has lost over 100 pounds also so he knows how I feel. He does wonderful and encouraging me and helping me to get up and get moving. I was defiantly still getting my Protein in, but I was also getting all the other fun foods in :-(
Thank you for your encouragement. I know in my head, but my emotions get sad.

So my vacation was wonderful and my boyfriend ran an incredible 2:57:27 marathon at the Boston Marathon. I jokingly had said I am going to gain 5 pounds being away from home. I was joking, I knew we would be walking a lot and figured it would balance any extra calories I eat. well.....we got home and I had gained 3.8 pounds!! then I did all shakes and Water yesterday, checked this morning....I gained another .6......I am freaking out!! this puts me back to being in the Overweight category and not loosing 100 pounds..... I feel like my goals that I celebrated accomplishing were all lies.
I want to be back where I was last week so bad. I am doing shakes and Water again, I don't know what else to do......

We will be gone for 5days and my boyfriend is running the Boston marathon so I will be out on my own for most the day Monday. I am just praying I am able to keep my Protein and energy up.

Yes when I am PMSing I hit about 1000 calories, but I was feeling super guilty and like I was out of control and going ruin everything (yes I am emotional)
I for the most part only eat stuff that has Protein in it. but on special occasions and before going postal I have had a Fiber one brownie. they were banned from the house a while back but I am doing much better with them, and only allow them if I have had my full meals and reached at least 100g of Protein.
