  1. Yeah I was super worried about it, and stressed myself out for a month.....all for nothing.

I will tell you I was not happy about the classes, and had an attitude. But they are more valuable than you will ever know!! they were an honest gift, I am so much more knowledgeable about my body and the process because of it and am so thankful for them. Yes it is a huge commitment, but I believe it is why I have been so successful.

  2. Hi, I am 17 months post op, San Diego Kaiser. I am also the founder and admin of the San Diego Kaiser support group page, and often speak in the options classes.

Yes Kaiser does require the 6 months of options classes, during the classes they ask that you try and loose %10 of your body weight. The paperwork said they needed documentation of supervised weight loss program, but I was never asked to show prof.

Please feel free to ask me any questions and join the FB group. my email is, pinkpolkadot619_rny_kendra@yahoo.com

  4. It's pretty good. I have only 1 servings not the whole container. My favorite is Artic Zero. both brands need to me microwaved for 20-30 seconds to soften up but very yummy, and are a good alterative to full blown sugar and fat of ice cream.

  5. I am 16 months out, so a lot has happened since surgery lol but I am wonderful! It is a forever change and battle. I have maintained my weight but I do juggle about 5 lbs so I am aware still and try to keep on track as best I can. I know it is easy to slip back in to old habits. right now I am fighting my late night snacking again.

@@rgallardo how are you since surgery?

I'm feeling the same way. I went on liquids for a little while and lost a few lbs, but they came right back. I am now up like 8 pounds and it won't stop. I am trying to not freak out. I know my eating is not perfect but it is also not horrible. I am not working out like I was, so I guess that is why the pounds are coming back. It is so hard to get re motivated to get going. I have perfect weather too, it just needs to be my decision to get out and go. Thank you all for sharing your struggles, knowing I am not alone helps me a lot. I know we all can do this, this can and will be a life long healthy life.

  7. may I ask what shakes and bars you used?

I use premier Protein shakes and Quest bars the most. so that would be 132g of Protein and 860 with out a meal, does that sound about right?

Good morning. Reporting in. Just finished 2 weeks of the 3 Protein Shakes, 2 Protein Bars and 1 meal of protein and veg a day. Down 8 pounds and back to my lowest weight since surgery.... Hopefully this will jump start that plateau I've been on since Aug

  8. I am 15ish months out and have felt like this already. But I know my new normal I want to be a healthy one. So I do look to you further out Vets to know that life can be normal, well a new healthy normal. that it is okay I ate some chips. And that it is okay that I have found a balance and a healthy relationship with carbs. Your normal lives inspire me and help me to know that it is okay to feel normal again.

    Thank you ALL!!!

  9. I am 14 months out and I am one of those people who have to eat 1,000-1,200 to maintain if I go over I will gain. I am currently trying to loose 5 lbs that I gained over the holidays and I honestly still was keeping below 1,800. It is also very true about the quality of your food. I have been hit in the face with reality that I must keep the carbs down and the quality Protein and veggies up up up!
