  1. My procedure was on the 8th of this month. I remember waking up in recovery and feeling the worst pain ever. I looked to my right at the gentleman and told him "it hurts" next thing I remember is waking up in my room Wednesday morning. I didn't have overbearing pain at that point and I was able to walk laps on the floor and use my spirometer. Since I've been home the pain I feel is in my back due to sleep position and discomfort where the drain is in place. I wish you the best on your upcoming journey. There is a lot of knowledge on BP.

    December 8th Sleevers......

@@Ellenomore congrats!!! today has been really challenging for me. I walk but the gas won't dissipate and BM has not crossed my mind or body. So happy that you are progressing really well. Keep up the good work and keep sharing. December 8th sleevers it may be time to move to the Post op forum section but keep the title.

    December 8th Sleevers......

What did you try to eat? I tried some soup that I strained and had four spoonfuls and was done it was heavily diluted with water too.I had puréed chicken...I had puréed turkey, chicken, and cod(which was actually better than it sounds) in the hospital, along with puréed carrots, peaches, applesauce, and Greek yogurt. I think I just tried eating too fast as well as to big a portion and it was too much. I have my tiny spoons from the program and am using those to help gauge my intake(doc wants # of those spoonfuls documented). I am more concerned at this point in getting my fluid intake but just received my protein soup broth from diet direct! Yeah, now I can do double duty! ????????oh my......your ????were bigger than your tummy LOL.....I'm on liquids for 2 weeks ????

I'm not taking any pain meds as I haven't had too much pain just discomfort where the drain is more so irritating the heck out of me. My seepage from the drain has decreased as well. I wasn't given any meds for blood thinning to take home. I was given heparin shots during my stay in the hospital. I pray and hope for complication free events.

@@tera1982 thank God I'm not having any issues with my intake but I tell you this sleeve is like a baby.....it wants to be fed and burped (walking). I was awake at 3am feeding on some sugar free jello which helped calm the growling. I'm just praying and hoping that we are free of all complications. Not to mention I have a drain that won't get removed until next Wednesday and that area is causing me discomfort. I believe after I get the drain removed I will feel like a new woman. Are you taking your pain meds?

Yikes! Drain? Is that normal? For my doctor it is. He leaves a drain in for a week. It is a surgeon's preference. I am really having to learn this sleeve I drank too much too soon and feeling like crap.I have a drain for a week too! My surgeon does not perform a leak test? Did yours? I get the drain removed next Wednesday.
  14. @@tera1982 I too was sleeved on the 8th of this month. I'm home now but was only allowed ice chips during my hospital stay. I am on liquids for 2 weeks. I had the nausea feeling but I asked for meds to counter that. I hope you start feeling better.

Oh the gas!! It has been really bad for me too. They won't allow the gas x strips either. And I won't get to have any Water or liquid in general until after 10 am tomorrow. But not to complain too much, this is what I wanted and the staff here is AMAZING. Yes the gas pains are no joke. They wouldn't allow the gas strips. I've had some ice chips and completed two laps of walking in the hallway and been sitting in the recliner.
