Hello, my name is Yvonne and I have completed all the steps leading up to my surgery. Now it is a wait on insurance. I considered bariatric surgery 10 years ago, but the timing just wasn't right. At that time I had 3 kids at home aged,15, 12, and 4. Now my youngest is 14 and can handle taking care of his own needs while I am down for a few weeks. I have been married for 26 years and my husband is incredibly supportive of this for me.

Now, a little bit about my past and how I got here. As a young adult, I was fit and athletic, weighing about 120lbs. Then I got married at 20 and pregnant within the first year. My first pregnancy I gained 80 lbs. having medical issues and bed rest. Then, 2 years later, I lost about 40 lbs and found out I was pregnant again! Again, medical issues and gaining go 65 lbs. I never lost any moe than about 10lbs or so in the next 7 years. Always gaining it back. Then comes my 3rd and final pregnancy. I gained about 45 lbs. that was 14 years ago, and I have slowly put on 30ish more lbs.

Today I am at 305 with knees that need replaced, but for now I can only get cortisone shots, because I am too heavy. I' m prediabedic and have sleep apnea. This surgery is scary, but my hope for a great, adventurous future! Bring it on!!!!😀
