  1. I am 4 months post op on 8/9/2016 and still have vomiting spells most days. I do all that I am suppose to do also. I have started taking Omeprazole each day and going to see if it will help. I will be going back to my surgeon of I don't get better. You are in the early stages and hopefully yours in from the healing process. I have read some people have excellent results and others have nausea and vomiting. I am still thankful I had the surgery. I just need to improve my health problems.

  2. I have heard if you take a tablespoon of flaxseed with yogurt every day this will keep you regular. I have bought the flaxseed but have not started using it yet. Will leave feedback to let you know if it works. I believe it can be added to other food items as well. I have gone through ordeals with irregularity since surgery and did not have this problem prior to surgery.

  3. I am 3 months post op. Having gas is normal, I used Gas X strips. I also used a stool softener regular as not to get constipated. I am not recommended anything I done only saying this is what worked for me. I had to take little sips all day long to start with as not to have that full feeling in your chest that makes you feel like vomiting. I personally was not able to meet my Protein and Water goals, in the beginning, no matter how much I tried. On a positive note, it has got better and better as time goes by. Everyone is different as to what they can or cannot do. Pamper yourselves and don't worry it usually always works out for the good in time. It has for me. The only thing that bothers me now is I do not tolerate meat very well. I also have a very restricted stomach and can eat very little at a time, maybe 4 or 5 tablespoons at a time. This does not bother me Best of luck to everyone on their journey. I am so proud I was able to have this done, I have no regrets.

  4. I will be 3 months post op on 07/07/16, I have been eating Premiere Protein bars 30 grams and Power bars 20 grams. The Premiere Protein Bars has more calories and carbohydrates than the Power bar but the Power bars has fewer carbohydrates and calories. These bars are tolerable but don't taste all that great to me but I eat them for the high Protein. I also have tried many protein powders and shakes, I haven't found anything I actually like but I drink the Premiere Protein vanilla 30 grams drink it is 11 ounces and has other Vitamins in it also. I have tried Premiere Protein strawberry and will drink what I bought but I personally like the vanilla the best. I still have a hard time digesting meat of any kind so I have to supplement with bars and shakes to get my protein in.

  5. I am now 2 months post op and I am learning more about eating very small amounts then going back 30 minutes later and eating a couple more bites. I have ordered some Protein bars low in carbs and some new Protein drinks. I keep trying new products to try to get the Protein I am supposed to have. I have a difficult time getting the protein I am supposed to have. I have lost 28 lbs. I am 5' 3". My starting weight was 234 lbs. and now 206 lbs. I had no energy and stayed tired most of the time. The past week my energy levels have improved greatly. Just wanted the newbies that it does get better as each week passes. I have had several problems but it is so worth it all!

  6. I was sleeved on April 7, 2016, I dislike most all shakes. I am still trying all Protein shakes and Protein products. I usually use the unflavored Protein Powder (120 calories), 2 tbsp. Peanut Butter powder (40 calories), 1/2 banana and a little ice and blend all of this together. I don't necessary like it but it is tolerable. Most all the whey protein makes me nauseous. I have lost 28 lbs. in 2 months. My doctor told me no more than 30 carbs per day. It has been hard getting in protein most meats makes me sick. It is super easy to go over carbs because they add up quickly. I like to read any helpful hints on how to get in daily protein.

  7. I was sleeved on 4/07/16. I am having problems eating almost everything I eat feels stuck in my chest area. I am learning to take about 3 tiny sips of Water every 10 minutes. When I eat I eat about 3 to 4 tbsps. of food that is about all I can have. I eat this every 2 hours. I tried the refried Beans and that was a big no, no for me. If I eat like this I can keep it down, otherwise, it comes back up. I was in the hospital for 6 days and it was supposed to be the day of surgery and go home the next day. My doctor is wonderful I have no complaints. On the fifth day, they took me off all medications and within 12 hours I was able to go home. Would I do this again absolutely the majority of people do not have this problem. My future is going to be bright and it is defiantly worth it. In a little while, I will be better and be grateful. I will be eating baby food, mushy food, Protein shakes and Water till I am better.
