CheleLynn45 got a reaction from MusicMom1384 in Clothing size
I was in very very stretched out 28W bottoms (probably should have been 30W) and 4X or 30/32 tops.
Now almost 6 months later I am in 18W bottoms and 1X tops. XL tops go on but don't fit the way I like them, my daughter keeps telling me they look fine but I still not sure. LOL

CheleLynn45 got a reaction from Treadmillwalker in Starting out at age 45? How common?
I started the process at 45, turned 46 in May, had my surgery Ocotober 27th 2014, and will be 6 months out by my 47th birthday on May 5th.
I originally went to a seminar about 5 years ago, REALLY REALLY wish I had followed thru back then. But better later than never!!
Good Luck on your journey!!

CheleLynn45 got a reaction from Keke288 in I failed myself yet again...
You have to be ready mentally to do this. Backing out if you weren't ready is not a bad thing. Don't be so hard on yourself.
I went to a seminar about 5 years ago to see what this surgery was all about. We started listening and I kept looking around the room and I got so scared. It sounded so bad and I kept telling myself I don't need this I am just fat there is nothng else wrong with me. Most of the people in this seminar were on oxygen and in wheelchairs or walkers. I told myself I could do this on my own. Well years later and probably 50 more pounds I realized I could not. Learning all about what was involved with having this procedure and having to go thru the 6 month supervised diet I found myself ready to do this.
You will know once you are ready!!

CheleLynn45 reacted to reree6898 in For the first time in my life...
So as of today I am almost 3 months out from VSG and I have lost 55lbs.
Today is Christmas and things are very different this year, for the first time in my life I didn't overeat into misery at Christmas dinner, I have stayed well within my nutritional goals for the day, and (here's a big one for me) I came home and worked out when we got back from the family gathering I have never ever done that before. For me today was a few big NSVs that made the holiday all that much more enjoyable! ????
On the left was at my all time highest weigh, middle was at surgery, and right was a few weeks ago.

CheleLynn45 got a reaction from VSGAnn2014 in 10-27-15 My one year surgiversary! :) Pics
Today marks my one year mark from my gastric sleeve surgery. I cannot believe how fast this year has gone. So many things have changed for the better for me and my family. I am a happy participant in my life now, no more standing on the side lines watching life pass me by. All my labs are in the perfect zone, and oh I have lost some weight along the way.
I still have 25lbs to go to reach my first goal of 175 and I hope to do that by my birthday which is May 5th. I was hoping to get below 200 by today, but I will take 200.4 and keep moving forward.
This tool that I have been blessed with is such a god send for me. I am glad to still have restriction, so I am using this tool for all it is worth. I am confident I will reach my next goal.
