But it's week two and I didn't lose any weight, and I lost 40 lbs the first week. I don't understand. This isn't working. I'm too weak from Clear Liquids to use the search box....

I was just telling my pcp that I was disappointed in how slow I was losing. He said that in his experience, slower was better for many reasons. He said slow losers tend to keep the weight off better/longer and it's better for your skin. I'll take that

I am sorry you are having this problem too. I knew it was something I had to work on, but I thought in the beginning it would come off a little easier.... If it is this hard now, how will it be in 8 months or a year.. All I know is that I am getting Protein in, to stop the hunger... and forcing the water...hoping to get it under control. I did not go through someone cutting me open to FAIL.... I got to work at it harder and put some time in for me to have time alone and with movement.. so I'm going to Tai' chi.... i HAVE done it before.. and it does make you feel good. I'm also starting ACUPUNCTURE in May. I checked and my Ins will cover it.. I see we are around the same weight? Only i'm taller than you... Please keep me posted , and I will for you as well. We have to help each other....Thanks so much... JewelJ

Jewel, I'm exactly the same as you, but without the added stress of caring for a sick husband. I was sleeved 2/3 and have lost about 22ish lbs. I follow all the rules. I tried increasing Water and dense Protein, I exercise everyday. I think I'm just a very slow looser, always have been. I'm going to keep an eye on the comment here to see if anything new comes up that I can try. Good luck!

Just bought some root beer extract and I put it in my vanilla shakes and almond milk. Tastes like root beer float
Just thought I would share with folks bored of their regular Protein flavors.

Don't order Isopure by the case unless you try it first. Most people hate it.
Syntrax makes some fruit flavored drinks that are pretty good.

The insurance companies go by your start weight, so if you loose some before surgery it's ok

My husband was very opposed to the surgery. I told him too bad, I'm doing it because it's what's best form me. Now that he sees results he agrees. He also sees that it's not "the easy way out".

I was sleeved on 2/3 and I've only lost 19lbs. It is very frustrating when your scale doesn't move and it seems like everyone else is loosing 10lbs a week. But I know it's nothing I'm doing wrong and it's not like I can cheat, it's just the way my body has always been. It just sucks.

My surgery is march 20th. I'm kind of an open book and I have told people that I'm having the sleeve. As I expected some were excited for me, some were polite, and some close concerned friends tried to talk me out of it. Like I said I expected all of this. But some people have been downright rude. Today I went to get baseline bloodwork done. The staff at my lab know me due to my other illnesses. So the lab technician was commenting that this is not the usual test that I get. So I told her it's because I'm having weight loss surgery. She actually said "oh no!" Than told me a horror story of someone she knows who had it done, who is very sick now. I was polite and said oh that's ashame. Then she asked me if I have tried diet and excercise. Ummm no, never even crossed my mind! I remained polite and stated that I crossfit three times a week.
It just really annoys me that people make assumptions about me because of my weight. I'm sure you all have similar stories.

J-Cal8 got a reaction from Lulah in February Sleevers.... Check in!
I was also sleeved on 2/3, about 5 1/2 weeks ago. I have had no pain since the first week. I was hoping that I would have lost more than 20lbs by now, so I'm going to try eliminating most carbs. The problem is that I'm now lactose intolerant and can't have most Protein drinks. A lot of Proteins like chicken, etc are still difficult to eat and get enough in to meet the Protein criteria. Figures that carbs have no problem going down.
On the upside, people are noticing and I can get into jeans a size smaller

I can't stand when people put a random apostrophe in a word when they really just needed an "s." Example: I ate two Protein bar's. Drives me nuts. My other pet peeve is the word "irregardless." I am kind of a grammar Nazi, though, and that drives my husband nuts.
    Oh Well!
