  1. I'm at my 2 year mark. I reached my goal and have maintained it for about a year. Going up and down a pound or so. But over the past two months I've been gaining a half pound here and there and am now up 5 pounds. My head says DANGER DANGER you're on a slippery slope. But I'm having a hard time stopping the snacking. It's not bad stuff. Just too much yogurt or too much cereal, etc. My willpower has disappeared. Thanks for the 5 day pouch test idea. Back to basics. I want to nip this before the holidays get here otherwise the cookies will kill me. Good luck all. It's a constant struggle. B

    Soooo... Whad I miss?!

Hi Madame Rev, I missed you too! After wondering why I hadn't seen any posts from you in a while I did a Madame Rev search today to find you (I'm not a stalker just a fan of your posts). Happy to see you were on vacation and had a great time. Glad you're back. You keep things interesting and fun! B

    Stuck Feeling

Hi, My doctor required that I crush pills for the first month. Even with a flavored drink you can taste how awful they are. But they don't get stuck that way. Good luck. B

4 months post op, how much can you eat?

At 3.5 months out a typical day for me is one 8 oz glass of skim milk with unjury for Breakfast, 1/2 cup of fage yogurt mixed with strawberries for lunch, and 1 egg scrambled with 1/3 cup WW shredded cheese for dinner. A snack might be the other half of the yogurt. I don't know how that compares with others but I can eat all that easily. B.
  6. hi ohhlala, just wanted to say i feel for you and hope your hair starts to grow. hair loss is something many of us worry about. b
  7. I think people may be nervous about saying the wrong thing. They don't want to say wow you look great and then find out you lost weight because you have cancer (or some other illness).

    Repetitive and Circuitous Topics....

It doesn't take long on this forum to become a Madame Rev fan. How can we start & keep interesting conversations going? Start a book club here? Discuss movies? Funny things that happen to us during the day? Show off our pets? Tell what we're fans of? I have no idea! Yes, we're all here originally because we had WLS but I've come to look forward to seeing posts from many of you! Wish you lived around the corner! B
  9. so far i've only ordered Soup when i'm out. finishing it is not a problem since it is liquid (and it's always something healthy). and no one bats at eye at having soup! so i don't feel awkward at all.
  10. My date was 1/21/14 and i am down 26 pounds (yes slow but steady). Dr prescribed B12 nasal spray (In addition to daily vitamins) for energy when i mentioned tiredness. It helped.

    In need of some motivation

Hi Linda305, I hear you! When I read the posts about people who lose 30 pounds in a month I think what's wrong with me. But it really is that every body is different (i keep telling myself that). I'm 2.5 months out and have lost 25 pounds. That's a good weight loss. And so is yours. It's just not as fast as others. I also stay hydrated, exercise, and ONLY eat 600-750 calories a day. Do I wish I was losing as fast as others? Yes. It will just take us a little longer but we'll get there. Slow & steady. All the best to you. B
  12. Hi Wigster, Crystal Light gives me the worst heartburn (all flavors). I drank it for about a week and had to eat about 6 Pepcid chewables every day. It's tough to drink plain Water and I haven't found a good non-heartburny alternative. B

    Surgery 2 Days Ago

Hi Fourstar, I also had surgery on Tuesday but came home Wednesday night. Thursday i felt awful and had chills. It hurt to get into and out of bed. And trying to roll on my side in bed made me feel like a beached whale! Friday was my day to say what did I do to myself because I must have drunk too fast and got the burps and the foamies. Today (Saturday) I feel much improved although I still have a sharp pain in my right side when I have to get up from a seated or lying down position. If it weren't for that I'd feel great. And as a true hypocondriac, every pain in my leg I think is a blood clot! I don't even mind the clear liquid diet! All the best to everyone and thanks for sharing. It helps to know I'm not alone.
