My friend Anna started dating a user on this site and when they broke up he copied her pics from this site and created a craigslist add offering sexual favors using her pic. She contacted everyone on this site and they could not help her and this user is still on here so that is why I wouldnt post any pics as well. Listen to coco because creeps are everywhere including the ones on here!!!!!!!!

The attention I get when I'm lifting at the gym or out with my kids. That is what I enjoy and that is what gives me motivation. Men wanting me like I'm some perfect 10 and I am sooooo not. That gives us all motivation. Married or not - we all love the attention from a stranger

The feeling I get from my workout, especially the first few hours after I lift. I suppose it's the feel good hormones or whatever. Also like what "cowgirljane" said...the progress and success shows that the hard work pays off and keeps me coming back for more.

I think aroundhky should have us all over and make us a meal with his fav list Quinoa is the only thing I have not tried on that list but would be willing to put anything in my mouth once.
I don't eat anything white - Oprah did a fantastic article on this years ago. Google it!
I can't eat a banana without my husband picking me up and carrying me into the bedroom.

I have read over and over about the need to eat carbohydrates with the Protein or your body cannot process protein well. It will not matter how much protein you eat (e.g. >300 g). Without a 2:1 or 4:1 ratio of carbs to protein, it will be wasteful. I like to eat about 60g of good carb with 30 g whey protein for first meal and 80-100 g of fast burning carb with 25 g protein post workout (around 5 pm). Minimal carbs for the rest of the day. 50 % protein, 30% carb and 20% fat has worked out really well for me and is very manageable spread out over 1800 calories. I eat a total of about 255 G protein a day on strength days, a little less on cardio days. It has been working well in terms of building up muscle. And of course you have to give your muscles a reason to eat, so push the Iron hard in your program. For the last 3 months, I have been doing p90x and that is a superb well rounded program to body build, as long as you bring the challenge. I am now going into more of a functional body weight program for a couple months, to give myself a change from isolation based exercises of p90x. It is called EFX by Mark Lauren -superb! Also check out "you are your own gym" by the same guy. I never get tired of those workouts. They are short (20-25 min), but really effective for building a strong athletic body. Functional over isolation may be what you are looking for to build a balanced muscular body for 3 days of strength training a week. As for cardio, I am doing fat zone cardio on my 3 strength days and a combination of high intensity / medium intensity on my 3 cardio days. One rest day.

Hey here is one: what do people define as "good carbs"?
I would say berries, bananas, dates, corn. What is everyone elses' take on this?

For me, I'd say anything that doesn't have white flour or sugar in it. I would classify bad carbs as being high on the glycemic index and good carbs as being low on the glycemic index. So naturally there are bound to be some carbs in the middle....maybe some fruits like bananas? My favorite good (low glycemic) carbs are broccoli, unsweetened oats, quinoa, green Beans, almonds, brown/long grain rice, red potatoes (without condiments), carrots and maybe bananas right after a hard workout. But that's just my favorites and the carbs that my body likes.

I'm a female body builder and I agree. Protein is still 90% of my diet. I avoid sugars and most carbs unless they are good carbs

Finished in 44 minutes. Certainly not like a regular road 5K.....obstacles, traffic and mud slowed me down......but it was a blast!!

Yeah, they are a little addictive. I think for me, the athletic events are fun, but the atmosphere is what makes me show up....bagpipes, genealogy and the like.

I LOVE my garmin! Its a 310xt. But I wear ( you NEED ) the HR strap...really, REALLY you won't even know you're wearing one after the first couple of times. It syncs to Garmin Connect when I get near my PC. And the garmin connect app on my android is great. (Galaxy4)
It's the best fitness money I have EVER spent.... I use it for running/cycling/swimming/hiking, etc.

betternowthanever reacted to voldemort in Day 18...what Should I Really Be Eating?
Just do your best to be patient. this is not an "overnight" process. you will have plateus along your journey. Try not to drink the shakes unless you have to. Try watching your empty calories in the form of drinks. Try altering your Protein intake type..... maybe eggs instead of Beans... etc.
The scale will move. However, don't get stuck on what the scale tells you. Pay attention to how your clothes feel. That is also a valid indicator of your success.

betternowthanever reacted to voldemort in Ok!! Is Anyone 100% Happy W/ The Lap Band?? And Successful
I was banded in Oct 2010 and I can say without hesitation that it was the right move for me. I have lost almost 110 lbs and feel amazing! I have had challenges with navigating the band and figuring out what works and what doesn't. Slider foods are the largest temptation with the band and if you choose those types of foods often your weight loss can stall. I try to eat meat often to give me that full feeling with little actual calorie intake. I do eat things like ice cream as well but in moderation. I am probably eating about 1200-1300 calories a day right now and it is working. I didn't exercise as much as I should until recently. Now I am trying to tone up the flab that remains. Good luck in your journey!
