    Low fat cream soups?

Thanks everyone!! I got some tonight, Campbell's has several different cream soup varieties I had never even noticed before!! I agree, not much nutritionally, so I need to get some unflavored protein powder....another dilemma and choice to make!!
  2. I've had the opposite experience, I can't find single powder flavored anywhere!!! If you're close to a GNC they have several different brands and flavors of RTD for sale as singles Where did you find single powders? I've heard some are available online, I just need to order, but would like to be able to go in somewhere and look at the variety.
  3. Hi all!! I started my 2 week liquid diet last Thursday and am having trouble with the protein shakes. I tried 2 different GNC pre made shakes. Taste wasn't bad but soooo sweet it's hard to imagine drinking more and they're so thin that I find myself hungry again 20 minutes later. I tried blending one with sugar free pudding and ice hoping to dilute and change the flavor but the consistency changed and it turned chunky; not good!! So, my question is, if I blend with ice and protein powder will I have better luck? I got some premiere protein I'm getting ready to try but they're also pre made. I appreciate any advice!!

Pre op diet protein shakes... Help?!

No fruit for me now but look forward to it in the future! I've heard a lot about the Unjury, will have to check it out! Definitely calling for the Syntrax samples as well. Thanks for the helpful tips!!

Pre op diet protein shakes... Help?!

I'm not opposed to powder, just haven't been able to find individual packets to try before investing $25-35 on a bulk pack. I haven't even heard of the Syntax so will check that out. Thanks so much!!

    February/March 2014 sleevers

I just had mine done Friday. It was a piece of cake. They knock you out completely, so you basically get a quick snooze. I will admit I was tired for a few hours after. I came home, ate some lunch, and napped the rest of the afternoon. I got home around 1, fell asleep between 1:30-2, and napped on and off until about 5. But yeah. The procedure itself was easy peasy. I think my dad said I was only back there for a whole 10 minutes. The worst was them starting the IV, because my veins hate people an run away as soon as they jab the needle in. I had mine Friday, too! Pretty much exact same experience, don't remember a thing! I was really sick on Saturday (nausea, dizziness, exhausted, weak), probably remnant of anesthesia and some dehydration. Make sure you drink a lot after your procedure. I slept most of the day after so didn't get enough fluids in. Felt great again on Sunday!

    February/March 2014 sleevers

I'm feb 6 as well, in KC
  8. February 6...so soon!! I start 2 week liquid pre-op next Thursday.
  9. I'm fairly new to this site and hope I'm posting this in the right place... I have a surgery date of February 6 and am feeling pretty nervous. I have lymphedema and wondering if there are others that have this that have been sleeved?? I take a diuretic now but don't think I'll be able to post-sleeve and am worried about fluid building up on my legs. Also have starting weight around 460...another thing to be nervous about. Help??
  10. Same here, Jen!! I'm worried about not taking the diuretic, even short term, but am very hopeful that losing weight will help. It makes sense to me that the less weight I have, the better my circulation will be. Praying for great results! Do you have a date?
  11. That's awesome!! Way to go!! I'm sure it hasn't always been easy, but I hope it has been worth it. Thanks for the encouragement....I think I get more nervous every day You give me hope
  12. Thank you, Gina! When was your surgery?

    Worried and scared, feeling alone

I think that our higher weight could help in that we should lose bigger amounts quickly (at least at the beginning). I know for myself I need to focus on how much better I'm going to feel after losing instead of how hard it's going to be to get there. Think of all that you can do now, at your current weight, and imagine what it will be like even 100 pounds less!! You'll be unstoppable!! Best of luck to you on your journey! I'll try to keep you posted
  14. Good to know, thanks so much!

    Worried and scared, feeling alone

I understand where you're coming from. I'm at the same starting weight but shorter and older. I feel like this is my only option and I want to do it but I'm scared and sad. I have a surgery date of February 6. Can you tell me why your Dr recommends duodenal switch later?

    Febuary 5th

I have a lot of emotions about it...nervous, scared, sad, excited... I'm hoping that is normal?? Lol!! I'm confident that this is the right decision for me and I have a new found hope for the amazing life that will now be ahead of me!! That doesn't remove the fear and uncertainty though. Does that make sense?

I'm February 6th in Kansas City. How do you feel?
  18. Hoping for some encouragement and/or advice. I met with my surgeon yesterday and got my date...February 6!!! Wow!! My main panic moment was when I found out no anti-inflammatory for 10 days prior and 2 months after. I have arthritis and a dislocated ankle (fusion in my future). I'm worried about the pain and about it affecting my ability to increase activity. Anyone experience this? Will it be as bad as I'm expecting? I appreciate any input! Thanks!!
  19. irockedthe80s

    No anti-inflammatory?!

Best to you as well!! Thanks and good luck!

Not yet. I have my psych eval, meet with Dr Hoehn and do the pre-op class on Monday. Case manager (Nicole) said that they would schedule my surgery that day. I'm so excited but also getting nervous... I suppose that is normal?? Any tips or advice? Things you wish you would have known? How have you done with the sleeve? Sorry, that's a lot of questions!! Lol!!
