Are There Any Single Sleevers Out There..

Does anyone have any suggestions on when to start dating after the sleeve? I dated quite a bit before and didn't have much trouble with my confidence, I figured they liked the fat me or they didn't. Now since deciding to do the sleeve, my confidence is way down and I'm wondering how to explain the scars and future saggy skin. I'm only 11 days out but just wondering if anyone has any insight.
  2. I have had mostly support but on Christmas I was talking to my best friend of forever and she told me she was worried that I was going to go through all this and just gain all the weight back anyway. I hadn't even thought of that as an option an now I'm scared. Sometimes I wish people would just keep their mouths to themselves. I might have failed every other time I have tried but this time I am making the commitment to change. I'm only 9 days post op, and nervous for what the year has to bring.

    Halitosis Hell

I am having this same problem. Is it ok to use those strips if I'm still on liquids?
  7. I live in Denver and chose Dr. Nick for my surgery after 2 years of research and waiting. I looked into Mexico and Vegas, the other two less expensive options for self pay patients. I ended up going with Dr. Nick because I the staff at the hospital said he was the best. He doesn't pay them and they see tons of surgeons and their patients every week. I trusted their advice and am 9 days post op and very happy with my recovery. The only thing I wish I would have known was that there would be the "divot" in my side from the big incision. That thing hurt like crazy and they said 3-6 weeks before it "pops" free. The thought of it popping free scares the crap out of me. Anyone else have this experience?
  8. Hi Kiap and welcome! You're absolutely welcome to join...I just need one more piece of information - if you could give me the number of pounds you are hoping to lose, I'll get you added to the spreadsheet! Congrats on the weight loss so far! Sorry about that! I'm hoping to lose 170 lbs... A goal of 150. I'm 5'4" so I hope that's attainable. My surgeon said he'd be happy with 160, because then I would be 1/2 the girl who walked into his office. Also, I'm 31 and single and ready to MINGLE for the first time in my life!!! Can't wait for what the next year has to bring.

    Any Colorado sleevers?

Hi. I'm so glad to find this Colorado group. Just had my sleeve 12/17 in Dallas but live in Aurora. Are there support groups near me I might be able to join even though I didn't have my surgery here?

    Coping With Christmas

I'm 9 days post surgery and actually left for my house before Christmas dinner at my parent's place. I took a long hot shower and am much happier than watching my family eat. Luckily they understand and were glad to help me load my car and be on my own. Until I can eat some sort of regular food, I am just choosing not to be around it.
  13. I am really emotional too. Glad to know I'm not the only one. I found myself holding back tears all morning and not sure why. I feel bad because I don't want my family to think they are upsetting me. So this evening instead of watching them all eat Christmas dinner I came back to my house to try to get back to my routine. Maybe that will make me feel more like me again. I'm only 8 days post op but ready to get back to normal as possible.
  14. Hi. I am new to this site but am so so so glad to find it. I am one week out from surgery 12/17 and down 11 lbs from surgery and 17 total. I'm feeling better, very little pain left, but am starting to get emotional and bored. My family is hovering and also eating holiday food, both of which are annoying. I don't want to irritable in Christmas but I am and can't help it.
