I'm 2 months in and I've lose 40+, down from 22 to 14, yet I feel that I should be smaller than this or maybe I just can't see it. Is this the "blues" (wishing for more than I should) or should I really be losing more weigh? Should I have discomfort when I sit down to eat vegetables or Protein meats like chicken or turkey? Thanks in advance for any advices. April
Hi, April! I think you're right on. I'm two months out and I'm down 43 pounds as of last week. My dr suggested that I'd lose about 50 in the firs three months and then it will slow down. Chin up!! You're doing great! And remember weight loss can vary so widely between people depending on so much it's hard to compare with others. Just know you're in the same range as I am. :-)

what do they taste like? I bought some Protein Shots and they were so horrid that I threw them away.
The Isopure drinks are the easiest to stomach for me. I especially like the alpine punch. They are Clear Liquids and have a lighter whey after taste. At GNC you can buy one and taste it. The run around $5 a bottle. I drink 1/2 a bottle a day.

back2barb78, Excellent suggestions. Wish I had done that! Time goes by so quickly.Starting my 3wk pre surgery diet next Tuesday! :-D Any tips???
CupofJojo, I would use this time to get organized and stay busy! Organize your closet since things change so quickly postop, clean out your pantry/fridge and give food away, try out Protein supplements (not too many it can get expensive). It will go by fast though and it will be surgery day before you know it. Good luck to you!

I'm wondering if anyone has subscribed to any WLS magazines and find them particularly encouraging and informative that they could recommend? It was great to see the online magazine on this site, but are there others?
Thanks!

snack, snack and snack! Too much of it. Not enough Water, at all! I had kettle corn at the movies. I paid for it dearly. I had my first, and so far only, dumping moment! Needless to say, I won't be doing that again anytime soon. I also started my solid food phase a day early! Ugh! Sounds bad when I list it out. ????

Question for everyone: Does anyone want the grape Protein Shots I bought? Here are the pics of them. There are 10 completely new ones... I tried one and just wasn't into the flavor of it and I have my sister one also. I am selling it for about $25 but am willing to negotiate! I paid $40 for 12 of them. I can ship it to you! <a data-ipb='nomediaparse' class="" href='http://www.bariatricpal.com/index.php?app=core&module=attach§ion=attach&attach_rel_module=post&attach_id=40728' title="image-4278844596.jpg - Size: 568.31K, Downloads: 0"></a> <a data-ipb='nomediaparse' class="" href='http://www.bariatricpal.com/index.php?app=core&module=attach§ion=attach&attach_rel_module=post&attach_id=40729' title="image-1076515911.jpg - Size: 484.85K, Downloads: 0"></a> <a data-ipb='nomediaparse' class="" href='http://www.bariatricpal.com/index.php?app=core&module=attach§ion=attach&attach_rel_module=post&attach_id=40730' title="image-2069885276.jpg - Size: 480.44K, Downloads: 0"></a> Bari

I love it too! I was cleaning out my extra bedroom recently and found a seat belt extender that I "stole" because I didn't want to face that humiliation of asking for one again!
I've lost about 30 pounds and hopefully i can say goodbye to being squished in airline seats. I may now be able to even fit comfortably in the airplane bathroom!!!! thanks for sharing.

I really hope I feel better tomorrow. Can anyone comment on if this is normal ..
I was sleeved in 12/18. The first week I had many thoughts of "what did I do to myself, this is permanent". It gets so much better quickly, if you do as others have suggested. I also had a hernia repaired which makes drinking and eating a bit tricky at times. After the first two weeks, I've been nothing but thankful. It does it better…I promise.

Hi everyone! I'm Sabrina, I'm 24 height 5'4 and I currently weigh 195 my goal weight is 105. I got my surgery dec. 21st 2013 starting out at 215 pounds so I've lost exactly 20 pounds in one month. I think I should have lost more it seems like most people do. How much weight have some of the other December members lost? One of the only issues I'm struggling with right now is Protein. How are we supposed to get all that protein without sucking down a million calories? It seems like every drink has so few g's of protein but soo many calories. Has anyone found a good low calorie high Protein Drink? Or found Andy foods they are fond of that are high in protein low calorie?
I've had trouble with the protein as well. I'm not a shake or milk person so my Isopure drinks are really helping. They are fruity and clear so I can tolerate them. One bottle is 20oz of Fluid and 40g of protein. Great for getting both fluid and protein. They are sugar free and 160 calories per bottle. Now that I'm eating more I only drink half a bottle a day. You can get them online or at GNC.

Well, I've joined the stall/gain club. So glad I've seen others successfully work trough the deed and disappointment. Staying focused and this week = more movement, more Water, more protein!!

Well! I'm in worse than a stall. Lost 7 lbs in one week a few weeks ago and gained 4 lbs over the last two weeks. I have no idea how it can happen when I take in 700-900 calories a day. This week I'm focusing on lower carbs and I'll keep it moving. I know it must and will pass, but GEEZ…it's rough!
