I remember being pre-op and my favorite thing to do was look at progress photos and dream
I am 6 months, 10 days post op and I am down 128 pounds total. This isnt a very great pic since I have been sick, but i still took it because anything is better than my before!!

Hard to believe these pictures were taken one year apart! My boyfriend had gastric bypass on August 1, 2013 and I was sleeved on January 15, 2014. Combined we have lost over 220lbs!

Don't think that, just because you are pregnant, you have to gain weight. I had gestational diabetes and saw an endocrinologist. Their nutritionist set up a diabetic diet eating plan so that I would lose 2lbs/week (2000 calories). I stuck to it like glue. I figured that, if I messed up, my daughter would die. Nothing I could eat would be worth that! Anyway, I lost 25 lbs. during that pregnancy and 25lbs with the next one, eating very healthy balanced meals. I'm being honest, I was ready to EAT THE TABLE! But it CAN BE DONE. Best of luck.

Awe you ladies are so cute! I can't wait til my bump shows. Only 12 weeks only thing bigger on me is my breast. By like twice in size and painful but I'm not complaining. This is my first pregnancy so I'm definitely happy especially since before surgery my hubby and I tried for 4 years and nothing and then this beautiful blessing :) but I'm not to worried about gaining just more about being able to eat! Nothing is good. Nothing satisfies me. I lose my appetite. Ladies have any suggestions. What's some stuff you love to eat lol

34 weeks today!!! And still haven't gained anything.

trust me when the scale started going up I panicked a bit a few lbs isn't going to kill me. I've gained and lost over 1000 lbs in my life. This time I get a baby as a prize. I'm ok with putting in the work after baby comes to slim back down.

I am currently 31 weeks pregnant too and almost 2 years out. I have gained 9 lbs so far and yes I do look pregnant. Listen to your body I have had periods of ravenous hunger and others when I don't want to eat..

I was sleeved feb 25, 2013-- so a lil over 16 months outI was 319 and a 26 was no longer fitting
I am now 165 and wear a 14! So I've lost just about 155! I still have a bit to go and it's def slowed but I've completely changed my lifestyle and it's going slow but steady- some months now it's up a lb and some it's down 7..,, just depends

I ate like a horse the whole time I was pregnant and I'm still eating more (I'm breastfeeding). Everyone says baby and I are both great. I'm also at my lowest weight. 128lbs.

I am only couple months preg and i now feel hungry i never felt hungry since my surgery 7 months ago. Which in return i ate to much and got sick and vomited everything so i know i need to learn how slow it down but is this normal to feel hungry with this pregnancy

I experienced this same thing...back in Oct of '01 I had WLS and in Mar of '02 found out I was expecting. What a shocker! Not only was I a recent WLS patient, but I had high blood pressure, and I was approaching 40. Now 11 years later I have a beautiful daughter that I wouldn't trade for anything in the world! Here's what I can tell you about my experience...I did continue to lose weight during my pregnancy. I did have gestational diabetes, but that is not uncommon. My advice is to make sure you have an OB/GYN that is familiar with WLS (mine actually did a bariatric rotation with my weight loss surgeon). Don't forget to take care of yourself. The demands of a pregnancy and taking care of a newborn can be so overwhelming and for me it was very easy to lose sight of my weight loss goals. I just had a revision in November and although I don't regret it, I sure don't recommend it. Take care of yourself now. Don't lost sight of your goals. What you do now to take care of yourself will make you a better mom. Enjoy your pregnancy, but take care of yourself!

I'm thrilled to report that after 3 weeks.....I'm rewarded with 10 pounds! I got on the scale 3 times to make sure!! LOL whew! I stop by my PCP's office once a week to weigh so that I have a decent calibrated scale to weigh on.....mine at home is not very consistent. Thanks for the support! It's nice to know we are all in this together!

Surgery date 11/18, now down 101 pounds! A year ago I never would have thought this would be possible.

I can't tell if my posts cross over at all but wanted to update. I love Dr. Posner and I absolutely love Buffalo General Hospital Can't say enough about the wonderful care there. Never waited more than a minute when I put on my light. Otherwise surgery went very well. I had it in my head I would be nauseated and in a lot of pain. Neither happened. The pain was very manageable and never had nausea, just a little gas. Used a Gas-x strip I took with me and worked well. Didn't need a drain, guess I had very little blood loss at all. Had no trouble with the sips of Water and ice chips. Kept hydrated enough. Went down the next morning for the UGI and passed. The drinks for the test weren't bad either. I had thought they would taste bad but were not at all. It was just sips before each view they did. The doctor came in a short time later and said I could go home and within 3 hours I was gone. I ended up with 5 small incisions. I did keep up on my pain med so I was comfortable and since home have napped a lot just because I can (and need to). On full liquids till I see him net week, 1 ounce every 15 minutes morning till night with 60-80 gm Protein. My husband feels bad when he eats in front of me but I keep telling him it's alright, I choose to do this so it doesn't bother me.

Great going Dexter, you have to do your work but your life is going to be so different.
I started over 500 LBS. and now I am under 200 LBS. And still loosing weight.
I didn't think it was possible but it is working

Awesome NSV tonight.... Went to a Detroit Tigers game. I was walking ahead of our pack, or with the pack, and did not struggle in the least to keep up. Zipped up and down the stairs. Walked up steps in parking deck without feeling like I couldn't breathe. Wearing jeans that are now too big that I hadn't worn since 2008 - friends noticing how loose they were. And of course, sitting in stadium seat comfortably. Awesome night!

What a huge difference even just your face! I bet you feel great!
