    Let's make mistakes in 2014

I love this. Thanks for sharing!
  2. I have joined Curves before and I do not think it is good for building muscle. There is no increased resistance and I got stronger than the equipment there quickly along with there aren't different exercise options to challenge your muscles with different things.
  3. This is hard for me to answer. It is good that I can purchase insurance for about $50 a month when before I could not afford coverage at all and most would have denied me because I had a past tumor that caused me to have a hip replacement. WLS is not covered in PA so I will have to be self pay regardless. It's nice that I will have coverage if anything happens afterwards. I know they are supposed to cover pre existing conditions but I wonder what they will do if you have insurance then go to Mexico to get the surgery then have complications since you were already under plan with them.

Surgery in 5 hours - YAY!

Good luck! Can't wait to see your results!
  6. I'm hoping the same. I counted 12 times I have been in th OR. I've done well each time. A few of those times I didn't know anything about the surgeon besides their name prior to the surgery as they were not planned procedures.
  7. I haven't been sleeved yet but csections are considered major surgery and from what I've read recovery is much easier. I'm probably looking at about the same time frame to save up the money to get my sleeve done.

    Head hunger

I am still in the researching stages of getting surgery and I was wondering if head hunger could be compared to someone who quit smoking and occasionally still got cravings. I quit smoking almost a year ago so I am determining how difficult/easy dealing with head hunger will be.

    Head hunger

Thanks this gives me a good idea of what the cravings are like and I seem to manage them very well with nicotine so I am hopeful it would be the same with food.

    Head hunger

Would you say when you get food cravings/head hunger they were similar to nicotine cravings? For nicotine cravings, I distract myself and look at a cigarette as costing me $80,000 because if I have one then I will be smoking a pack a day. It passes quickly and it is manageable and I don't want to go back to smoking because I'd feel horrible physically. I was just curious if I would view eating junk the same way.
  11. I have lost 93 pounds but unfortunately I'm one of those that my oxygen. Level drops too low. Still on bipap but a newer model. Trying to get a mask to fit better as my face is thinner. I will go back for a check up in a year!! Unfortuantly for some people the sleep apnea doesn't go away with weight loss. Overall most people seem to be happier on a Bipap.
  12. I used to work for a Sleep center. Ask about a Bipap unit or ask them to do a Pap Nap Study. (You basically stay up the entire night prior and nap with the cpap on) They can get settings with as little as 2-3 hours of sleep so when a person says that they didn't sleep at all, many do sleep at least 2-3 hours. An in office test gives an more accurate picture of your sleep and the various stages of sleep compared to a home unit. Don't be shy to bring your own pillow or whatever you feel will make it more comfortable for you.
